What were the fault codes before replacement of all ignition coils? There are many reasons for a misfire. If your only fault code is for one misfire on one cylinder. You can try swapping the spark plugs from cylinder one to two and see if the misfire follows to cylinder number 2. Then you know you have a bad spark plug. Same can be done with ignition coils and fuel injectors. Make sure you are using quality parts for these repairs aftermarket parts can present the same issue or a new one. Certain symptoms can help identify the issue as well. Is the misfire happening all the time, or only during certain conditions? Idle, startup, warm engine, cold engine, under a heavy load? You can also use other issues you may be having as a hint. If You have a misfire and at the same time you notice your coolant light comes on every now and then a bad head gasket can be leaking coolant into the cylinder. A boroscope and coolant pressure test is needed to verify this.
If you don’t have a torque wrench you can do your best to get close and it won’t be the end of the world. Just tighten down the spark plug until you reach the end stop and snug it down another 1/4 to 1/2 turn.
My ignition coil won’t seat all the way , can anyone help with this issue? I’ve changed all the coils and they’re all the same but for some reason one just won’t go all the way in
Look at the inside of the coil where the spark plug goes in and see if something is inside obstructing the spark plug from fully seating. Compare the spark plug to other spark plugs and make sure they are the same. Also check if the ignition coil that does not fit, fits onto another spark plug. You may find the answer if you try all these options.
Well you can briefly see it at 13:18, it’s not as bad as it may seem. You can pull it out without removing the valvetronic motor. Ignition coil #3 is the same.
Excellent presentation, thorough, including potential issues you may encounter, and how to solve potential install issues. Well done!
Much appreciated!

Thanks for the help…will trust to do this myself but what’s the spark plug torque tool? Can I buy it at autozone?
All tools used are linked in the description. It is a 5/8” spark plug socket and Autozone will have that size 👍🏼
I wish my coil packs came out so nicely, those pups are jammed harder than a pickle jar.
Thanks for the video👍
No problem!
Do you have to disconnect battery first bfo starting?
No not necessary. Just keep the car off and key off.

Why skip the plug 4. I’m sure that’s hard to
Get out. You’d almost have to pull out the valvtronic
