If anyone is having issues loading games in the cue/bin format, you can drag the cue file to the emulator and it'll play!
But if the emulator doesnt accept it and give this error message saying it's "potentially unsafe", you just need to open the cue file in text format, and delete the part of the name that says "C:\SATURN\", leaving only the name of the game
For example, if when opening with the notepad it says "FILE "C:\SATURN\008 SHINING WISDOM (U).BIN" BINARY", you need delete the "C:\SATURN\" part, then close, save the file, and drag to the mednafen emulator and it'll load no problem!
If you fear it wont work, try and test with a copy of the cue file! It worked for me!

Thank you so much. I failed to get it running it Retroarch and was going to try the stand alone route. Don't need to now. Those two bios files were the secret sauce. Bout to play me some Die Hard Arcade.

Thanks a lot! Mednafen works well. I've been struggling with Saturn emulation. Kronos is kinda unstable, setting the controls in Retroarch is a pain if you are playing on an actual USB Saturn controller and SSF would not recognize my controller for the life of me.

2 is there a way to get the game running without dragging and dropping the rom onto the mednafen app?

I'm new to the Saturn and MEDNAFEN and wondering how I can save my game progress?
I've used this with success before, it's a solid saturn emulation option. Unfortunately when emulating through an fronted interface like bigbox dragging and dropping to launch stuff entirely negates the point of using a front end. One click launch through a front end hiding all the behind the scenes crap behind a nice interface
What do i do when no error message pops up when i try to run the emulator the first time.
Configuring controls? hold down Alt+Shift+any number 1-8
Zipped game files not turning into ISO files when extracted
Can this work with only keyboard or do you need a controller
I’ll give this a shot. I’m trying to play the ultimate version of Symphony of the Night (it’s a romhack), but it refuses to work on my retroid pocket 4 using Yaba Sanshiro. The creator of the romhack uses Mednafen, so if it works there, maybe I can work backwards and see what is wrong on my end.
Edit: well I got it to work on Mednafen (thanks for the instructions, btw) by using the pre patched version I got from CDRomance. I have no idea why it’s not working on my retroid. I’m gonna play around with retroarch I guess. I’ll give the BIOS you provided a try there. Can’t change the BIOS on Yaba Sanshiro as far as I know, so that might be a dead end for me.

Some of my backups are an iso file with a lot of mp3, or an iso & cue files. These games wont load, only bin+ cue. Guess I need to re download the backup :/

It worked the first time when I launched Baroque but now it won't launch the game again. Anybody know how to fix this?
