Why did you get rid of the takeda? Is the mishimoto better?
Im confused you had 2 other intakes which is better you said that the PRL was better than tekeda so is the mischimoto better than the PRL now ?

Sick content man. Glad I found this page. I just got my 2.0t Accord 2018. I was going for more of a sound booster for the turbo. What do you think is the best air intake for that
If you don’t mind heat, go for an exposed filter intake like K&N or Injen. They will provide the sound your looking for but it comes at a costs. Those units suck in hot air from the engine bay. The ones most guys run are closed units that are fed cooler air from outside the car like PRL or Mishimoto.
Prl high volume intake or mishimoto? Who is better for you and seems like mishimoto is easier to remove cone filter for cleaning?
Prl tube you have can we buy that by it self? If so whats the advantages I get sorry just trying to get some information b4 I go buying one
Why did your friend get rid of his Mishimoto? I just ordered one for mine. Never really heard of them but they seem to do great work
Because the PRL stage 2 is considered by all to be the most powerful intake. The Mishimoto is a good intake but Joel is going for the most power with all mods.
What are ur thoughts on the PRL intake hose? What does it do differently/better than the stock one? Thank you!
It’s streamlined, less turbulent for free flowing air.

I got it from joel Felix. You can find them on eBay used for deals, brand new from the dealer or join some FK8 groups and get one from someone upgrading.

So far so good. I checked it 2 days after install and everything is where it should be. 👍🏽
Did the intake bring out some more sound out of the turbo?

Nice set up! What are your thoughts personally, on those intakes and if they effect the factory warranty on the car? I am very tempted to get it as well but I keep on thinking about the warranty. I do go to the dealer for my oil changes … so they gonna see it.
So they can’t void the warranty unless they can prove the under lying issue was caused by the aftermarket part. BUT if your still leaning towards a little more performance but want to retain a stock look go with PRL stage 1. It honestly is a really good intake and your only changing the filter/intake tube. Very minor. Dealer never said a word to me about the intake and I’ve been there more then a handful of times.
Honestly you could go more aggressive and still be okay. Not really much can happen with an aftermarket intake swap if you get a good system that cuts down on heat soak. Takeda, Mishimoto or PRL HVI.

Yeah, 10 hp gain based off PRL dyno chart.

Better than the Takeda?
It’s louder. I actually like it more then Takeda to be honest. I had the Takeda for 3 months and never really liked how it performed.

By chance do you guys know if this intake would bolt onto my 1.5t accord? Mishimoto doesn't have one listed for the 1.5t models unless its the civic..

@@Fahrenheit_Motorsports one of the mods i would love to try is installing limited slip deferential (lsd).... i saw some guy put on the LSD of the type r on his Accord... You can even search it on TH-cam
Sweet didnt know we can install that on the stock turbo. I might have to do the gold tape on the intake as well. I would like that flex fuel emblem as well. Painted my cover recently. Great video
