(in my opinion) Rhys does SO much wrong in the first book and is extremely manipulative and abusive to Feyre. Forcefully dressing her practically naked and parading her around in public, drugging her with the wine each night, and forcing her to dance on him is unforgivable. His reasoning for doing it was so weak and unnecessary. I don't completely dislike him, but he and Tamlin are both toxic, just in different ways. 😬 Cassian is the only cinnamon roll man we've read from so far! 💖

I love this! I am also Team Tamlin Deserves Something Happy. He definitely fucked up and he suffered the consequences by losing Feyre, losing respect, basically losing everything. But I really would like to see him at least be at peace by the end. I am convinced that Tamlin and Rhys will come to some kind of understanding... maybe not besties, but they will forgive each other and be tentative friends. There are hints that Rhys is worried about him and they are paying for the sins of their fathers and I feel like they might be able to get past that. 🤷♀️
Basically I'd rather see Tamlin get redemption with his friendship with Rhys than like a love interest. They were friends before it all went down.

I feel like Tamlin had minor issues and was trying to be a good person and then the PTSD really screwed him up. So I agree she shouldn't forgive him but be should get the chance for a redemption arc. Also if I get behind Curtis due to how long it's taking to get ACOWAR to me I may cry. 😆
I love seeing a partner take interest in their love's passions! Also.... maybe I will pick up some Maas after Throne of Glass... just because I'm courious about that smutty scenario or two...
i thought tamlin and feyre were both trying hard to make the relationship work because they're trying to find meaning for all the suffering that happened under the mountain, and they feel guilt over feeling like they contributed or caused that suffering to happen, blaming themselves instead of amarantha. neither wanted to get married and live happily every after, but to not try felt like they were disrespecting the people who died and suffered. i think tamlin grew to care about feyre, not in a romantic way like rhys, but rather, he didn't see her as a lesser human anymore but a equal, and for him, growing to care about her and feeling guilty made him confused those feelings for genuine romantic love.
I agree with Curtis about the throne scene. I feel like the tension and the people watching makes it hot! Where as the cabin scene whilst more explicit was expected (I did still enjoy it!) 😁

I’m also team Tamlin is nuanced and I actually think Rhys is Unnecessarily cruel to him and keeps going like “I’m alpha” (very smol wingspan energy tbf) in a low key red flag way but Fayre is just so swooney she doesn’t see it that way, but I’ve read this so long ago I don’t know if im remembering correctly 😂 I loved it when I did read it but the Christmas special novella pissed me off so much 😭😂

Seeing this video a long time after everyone else. Like Curtis I don’t get everyone’s love of Cassian yet, except for when he went to Nesta when she cried. I’m more interested in Lucien getting a redemption arc. The throne scene and the inn were hotter that ch.55 for me personally.

I think I'm the only one that sees Rhys just being Rhys in silver flames 😆 I don't see him as being "the bad guy" I just see him being him 🤔
I do think definitely next book is with Morrigan. The books ending sets you up for who is more involved in next book. Like some don't like frost and starlight as much but it sets you up to know that silver flames was going to focus Nesta on how it mentions her alot. In acosf Morrigan is mentioned alot and it closes with her mentioned. Elaine wasn't really mentioned. Nothing significant happened to her here so it wouldn't make sense for her to be next 🤔🤔🤔 Just letting my thoughts out lol 😆 😅
“Where do we go from here” I had to literally pause the video to figure how where I knew that song from. Had to sing through a chunk of it before it finally clicked in my brain lol.
I think what happened with Tamlin's character shift is less extreme than people think. ACOTAR showed him as possessive and controlling but it also showed that he hated being questioned. He doesn't let Lucien challenge him when Lucien disagrees with a choice Tamlin made. Part of his actions in this book is probably PTSD to some extent but it's also very in-character. I don't think he's a terrible person - his actions in some scenes in ACOWAR would suggest that he's an okay person. But I wonder how much of the character shifts that we see in ACOWAR was because Lucien wasn't there as a yes-man. I saw something on pinterest where someone suggested that ACOTAR is a fluid take on a beauty and the beast retelling because Tamlin is actually Gaston, not the beast (I love this because Lucien kind of becomes LeFou). Rhys is the beast, because you go in thinking he's a monster and then you realise that the cruelty is a mask. I think part of why I switched between Tamlin and Rhys so easily is how willing Tamlin is to use "Amarantha's whore". Every time I read it my heart breaks. It definitely gives me Fenrys vibes and in both cases it's just completely horrifying.
I feel very similar to Curtis, the first book I hated Reese and when the switch happened in book 2 I was a upset because it seemed to happen quick but when the book and the series continued on I realized the truth and I feel for Reese and tamlin for similar reason for their families and I def. think she is better off with Reese and i actually really loved silver flames because I loved seeing from other perspectives.
Watching this video I feel like did I remember ANY of ACOMAF! I think a reread is required before I carry on with the next book

I read it right now 59 % in and sorry it's a little boring for me. I felt the same about book one. And it's simply tooooo long.
Took me until pg 250 to get interested then read the rest really quickly.
I remember reading the first book but hearing people say you'll eventually hate tamlin. And I was like Oooohh no wayyyyy, tamlin is amazing. Book two I hated him and loves Rhys ❤🤣
