there is nothing more satisfying that being able to watch a video like this that covers so many books and knowing you won’t get spoiled because you’ve read them all. i feel so powerful lmao.
i am positive you’re right about the sword being a part of the dread trove. i saw someone else say that in acosf it’s mentioned that an ancient general betrayed a king and took a fourth part of the trove to another world with his queen - which sounds a lot like pelias and theia to me 👀👀
it’s also stated that ruhn’s sword was part of a pair with a smaller blade which could be Az’s sword truth-teller
Interesting you mention that small blade because there's also one on the cover of HOSAB!
I also noticed they all say their magic feels like a well or core inside of them.. When aelin finds her power, when feyre got her powers and Nesta feels hers, and when bryce makes the drop. All magic works the same, which might be able to connect in a way too as they're all connected from the same species/origin

I just finished CC2 and I’m screaming watching this. I love this
So many thoughts but
1. What if Az and Ruhn are both originally from the dusk court and much of the court left to cc world with the star sword purposely leaving its twin dagger in prythian bc they’re too powerful together or some shit and that dagger happens to be Truth Teller 👀
2. A cool way to do a cross over would be a war Bryce traveling to Prythian to retrieve the dagger to like save her world and dots are connected and Az learns where he’s from and he’s actually high lord of the dusk court. And maybe the people of the dusk court that stayed in Prythian decided to join the night court once their own court fell
3. I don’t think this is going to happen but I would love if it did
Watching this video after just finishing House of Sky and Breath is crazy. No spoilers, but I really liked what she did and I am really interested in seeing how your theories evolve after reading HoSaB :)

I love the crossover. So good.
I think that there might be a crossover, but I don't think it's going to be something crucial to the books. Maybe just a glimpse or they talk to a person from another realm and they mention someone's name, But I don't think characters from ACOTAR are going to travel to Midgard. So basically a crossover between realms where they communicate, but not between characters (unless is something quick like what happened in Kingdom of ash).
My theory is that the continent that Tog takes place in is the continents that everyone mentioned in ACOTAR, also that the cauldron didn’t make the world it was a tool made by the gods, remember how the humans didn’t have holidays because they wouldn’t talk about the gods? Also the fey that were banished was probably referring to the wall!? Not perfect but I think that’s a cool connection
I got so much out of watching this video immediately before reading House of Sky and Breath. And then I came back to watched it again afterwards. I am looking forward to any potential follow-up videos
Loved this video! I enjoy the Easter eggs too, and would not like a crossover series either. I prefer the series to standalone with just some connections.
I really don’t want a crossover, I love all the series separately and I like little Easter eggs but an actual crossover would feel really cheap

i know yall think a crossover would be cheap but i think eventually it would be really entertaining. Everything would still be able to be read as a stand alone series i just think the crossover would be fun in the future just as a single book or something
Your mind is amazing and I think you're spot on with most things! One thing I am less sure about is the idea that TOG world is older than ACOTAR world and the original place of the fae. I think that Fae existed on both ACOTAR and TOG as original inhabitants. I think that the ACOTAR fae and TOG fae are different species almost, and in CC the shifters are descended from the TOG Fae and the Fae Fae are from ACOTAR because the shifters can have powers they're just more rare - just like in TOG. And in TOG don't all fae have a shifted form? The CC Fae have more abilities, like ACOTAR Fae. The only question I have (and this is prob easy to check) is whether the CC Shifters have the pointed ears, which would corroborate.
I am a huge SJM fan and I feel like an utter tool for not realising these books all interlink together. I NEED TO RE-READ them to find these eggs! Awesome vid becca thank you. 😊 ❤

I love this. Definitely gave me some things to consider and a few I already suspected...its nice to not feel crazy on those. But conspiracy theory me asks what if Fury in CC is Amren in ACOTAR? I thought I heard about learning more about her at some point...so what if we kind of are. I could be completely crazy and that's fine.

when i read the last chapter of sky and breath the name gwydion went completely over my head. i realized it was the sword mentioned in acotar when i was on my third re-read of that chapter. i am interested whats going to happen between these two worlds. are the MCs gonna band together?
I haven't watched this video yet as I haven't read cresent city. In silver flames there is a quote on page 547 saying "you are the one that the sea and the wind and the earth whispered of." I find it interesting that cresent city is said to be a trilogy and two of the books are mentioned "earth" and blood "wind" and breath meaning that the third book may be "sea". Maybe something like sea and tears but I have no idea.

Ahhh I love this! I haven’t finished TOG yet but I had twigged the worlds were all inter connected somehow, Crescent City has so many nods to ACOTAR. Personally I do think the Fae in CC have come from the same realm as Prythian.
ALSO! Amren and Fury also are described physically very similarly. Merrill in Court of Silver Flames is described as looking like the witches from Throne of Glass.
I didn't read acotar before crescent city . I completed two books in the series. Should i read acotar now before reading the third part . Will the third part contain more info on acotar ?? Since acotar series is long i am not much interested in reading it but i will read it if its necessary for Crescent City 3 part .i loved crescent city novel . Please help 🥲 i have no idea what to do.

She said she doesn’t want to do a crossover because it would feel like a wrap up/ending and she’s not going to be done anytime soon… which is both good and bad. But also she said she doesn’t want younger kids that read TOG to be exposed to the hardcore smut of ACOTAR OR Crecent City… since they might want to read the connected books

Ahhhh.... I haven't read all of the other series, only the first 3 in Throne of Glass. Do you think I should speed read through the other two series first before moving onto crescent city, or do you think it's not really necessary?
Would definitely recommend reading ACOTAR. At the minute you can probably read Throne of Glass after Crescent City

I don't think it really matters too much at this point, most of the references seem to be to ACOTAR but you'd pick up on some cool bits if you read throne of glass first 😊

I think that with Acotar being made in to a tv series. It’s definitely smart for her to do a crossover,since it will open the door for a show spin-off.(considering the Acotar tv series does well)

Reading Crescent City my brain kept trying to find connections between the characters in ACOTAR. I also think some SJM characters have very similar names or is that just me??

If SJM doesn't one day connect TOG, ACOTAR, and CC in a book or new series where they all have to fight against some kind of evil that threatens the entire universe or whatever then I will be upset and feel robbed of happiness.

This is so amazing. I have thought so many of these things but have never put it all together this way. Rhys and the Autumn King both have working models of the multiverse in their offices. Merrill in ACOSF is described to look just like Manon (minus the gold eyes) and is obsessed with the multiverse so I wonder if that's a TOG tie in. Perhaps Merrill is a witch. Plus ACOSF has so strange lore around witches so I think that will tie in to the other series. There is darkness like a cat in TOG too that follows Chaols chick (blanking on her name rn) when she is in the sacred place where she learned to heal (also blanking on its name). So many subtle ties. Love the crossovers.
I'm just disappointed that we didn't get a full on murder wall complete with red string and all.
I wouldn't mind a crossover as long as it doesn't become the main focal point of Bryce's books. I wouldn't think that was servicing the fans either because she already does hints in all of the series pointing to a possible crossover. It might be what she had planned all along.
I can't wait for house of sky and breath though. I am so excited 😂 she is an amazing writer. I think I'll love it no matter what she decides to do 😂

Girl read a house of sky and breath... all I'm going to say is you're right about alot.
I also don’t want a crossover. They are fun for tv shows but I feel like it would cheapen my enjoyment of her books. My hope is that everything is connected like you said but that they stay separate. I did notice in queen of shadows or empire of storm when the group goes into those tunnels under the city and get to the temple where all the bones where I got really strong bone carver vibes from it so something I would like to see would be novellas from the past when the gods were less of a myth to see someone like the bone carver or amren’s beginning story as a bonus but I don’t want a crossover going forward. I am scared though that the way things are moving with the new acotar books we might get it sadly
