  • In the west bottoms of Kansas City is a great little motorcycle DIY repair shop called Hickory Union Moto. As a member, you get access to all the tools in the shop including the No Mar Classic Tire Changer, which we used to put new Michelin PR4's on the FJ-09.

Worst part of my tire change was that it was 100 degrees that day. I did have factory weights on the front and rear. I also put some Ride On in the front and rear after balancing with wheel weights, it rides totally smooth.

I don't envy your Arizona heat. Before doing my tire change I skimmed your video, but didn't watch it in its entirety. I saw that you had your sprocket off the wheel, but now that I see that you just pulled it straight out of the cush drive without unbolting the sprocket I feel like a total idiot. I did not know that was possible. FJ-09 is first chain drive bike I've really worked on. Everything else I've had has used a shaft.

First off dont use power tools to tighten the posi clamps, second you should be using the dog blocks to break the bead, and third its very simple to make a makeshift base to bolt onto. And youre tire was not in drop center while removing the tire which is why it was so difficult to remove. Also you should have sprayed the nomar tire paste mixed with water at 20% onto the face of tire and lip of rim before removing. You did alot wrong, but theres always room to improve. Thanks for posting the video, I get my no mar hd classic on thursday for my garage.

Yeah at the time I was using the tire changer at the local community garage and I was just doing what I was told. Now I have my own No Mar and I do it right.
