At the age of 79 years I need the exercise. At dawn break do 10 minutes of deep breathing regardless of temperature outside. In the afternoon a half hour brisk walk regardless of temperature. Frequently before deep breathing I do light exercises. Keeps me fit and helps me to sleep. I feel fit and have energy to last the day. Also I go to bed early and wake up early. So far so good.

      1. In Budhdha's times, very few people lived up to or beyond 70. Hence, his wisdom is outdated and not applicable to present times where people are healthier and live beyond 70.
      2. Walking, exercising , "moving" within limits is essential at any age to maintain flexibility of limbs
and a healthy body. So please stop your noncensical ideas.

Just because I’m 70 and get tired easily, I should not have to feel guilty for it, as well as coping with everything else. I think this is an excellent video. I feel better just from having watched it. People died earlier in the past because they had harder lives and knew little about nutrition, not because they took time out to rest. Many of them didn’t stop moving from daybreak till nightfall, when they would collapse into bed. We don’t need anyone giving us guilt trips once we’re older. I feel lucky to be still here at 70. Many of my family further back didn’t make it to that age, such as my grandparents, because of harder lives. There’s gratitude.

Swimming works for others works well. Many other activities may suit your needs. If you did less walking well, that worked for that person. I am 76 years old I pray meditate every morning and then yoga exercise and stretching, this includes warming up all the joints with slow and then fast tai chi movements. I then do my Wim Hof and yoga breathing exercises. The Wim Hof breathing consists of 70 breaths and then holding my breath for 4 minutes after each set of 70 breaths, on my 5th set I hold my breath for 6 minutes and on 6th set I hold my breath for 10 minutes. Then I go back and do 3 more sets of 70 breaths and hold my breath again for 4 minutes on each set. I live on lake with a mountain in my back yard, and I do uphill wind sprints walk and then run until I get to the top. When I get back I go to the gym and do weight training, pushups and chin-ups along with animal moves and primal flow exercises and animal moves. Then I do a cold plunge for 4 to 6 minutes and then do a sauna for 30 minutes and then a cold shower. I am a screenwriter and after my workouts I come home and write for four hours. I only eat once a day. I eat no sugar or carbs, except for the carbs in my vegetables. Pretty much a vegetarian, who eats fish my every couple of months. I fast between 22 hour and 23 hours every day. Every three weeks I go on a three day fast. If there's a good movie out that I like I will watch it. Usually, it takes me two nights to watch one movie night unless it's really good and then I will watch the whole movie at one setting. I love a good movie. On the nights I don't watch a movie, I go for a walk on the lake. Probably not a life most people would want, but it works for me. It seems as if I am not aging. I used to have grey and white hair since I started it went back to its natural color. Still have a six pack and if you put a sack over my head, I would look like a 30-year-old athlete. Take the sack off my head and you would probably say damn he's ugly. But I probably don't look that old. I don't know maybe somewhere between fifty and sixty. I will have to ask a few people and see what they say. Any way I think activity is good for you. Use it or lose it. At the same time, she sounds as if she is at peace, and she seems like a beautiful woman. I think her protocol would be easier than mine for most aging adults.

This video is extremely misleading. While it is great to practice mndfulness, it should NEVER be to the exclusion of keeping yourself physically fit no matter what your age may be.

We should not think of 100 years. Think of today and make it another happy day. Try to live for others.Make them happy to the extent possible. Throw away EGO.

I found the attitude of gratitude is the key to a healthy life. First and foremost gratitude to God who planned salvation for mankind through Jesus Christ, and is constantly watching over us, protecting us from all dangers of this world, supplying all the help for our needs and many more things. Secondly gratitude towards our parents and family members, next to anyone who has done any good things in our lives. Most suffering is caused by not knowing God and the lack of gratitude.

The beautiful world 🌎 and LOVE.

Movement and excersice are important to keep a person active and young even in old age. And with right diet. So taking rest more than necessary makes a person old and decreasing his life span.

Interesting... we must think of others and help others... that's the best form of gratitude... staying stuck in your own mind and hoping the world around you will take care of itself is not a Buddhist philosophy...
