He's the most impessive artist of our time imo. So many of the greats not only were moved a spot down the list, they were removed from further consideration. He is redefining what it means to be an artist, after decades of so much celebrated mediocrity.

Yes, that's Ren playing piano at the beginning! He also composed the music for piano and strings! He directed the video and produced the music/audio. It was recorded live but it's not quite one take. They had to make a single edit, before the water, as the 'rain machine' was being tempermental. :) Yet another incredible and masterful performance from Ren and overall, an absolute masterpiece... again! :)
I just watched Knox Hill's interview with Ren today, and Ren said that there probably wouldn't be a part four, it's meant as a trilogy. Absolutely a masterpiece of art, this one. You described it perfectly - a mash of all genres with some of Ren's bardcore, too. Ren is a genre all on his own. Great reaction, thank you ❤
There was only one cut in this video and that was when they panned around the back of the wheel chair. That 1st part had around 8 takes before they got it perfect from start to finish. I watched the twitch stream of Ren as well as the interview with Knox Hill; plus the interview with Knox & Sam the videographer, he posted today. Ren said that the main reason they placed the cut when they panned around the wheel chair is because they had to set up the string section properly and make sure he did that on a true one take. Ren explained that because of the rain machine they set up, he couldn't practically do multiple takes of the ending. He laughed saying he only had one suit and once everything was wet they were done. In fact they had to pay the violinist on the left extra money to replace her bow which got wet and was ruined. They practiced/rehearsed the ending with the strings 18 times, but it was a true (Hand To God) ONE TAKE for the ending. ✌.
Absolute masterpiece. I have watched this over 100 times easily and it never gets old. How anyone can not like this I don’t know. It was very nearly a one take. One cut as it pans behind the wheelchair before the rain part. And Sam is Sam Perry-Falvey, Rens friend and cinematographer 🖤

From what I heard, after the rehearsal they only had one day to actually shoot it ... and after the rainfall, there's no time to dry the floor - so it's all got to be locked in. And that's incredible! There are some smart cuts though, like when the bag obscures the mirror... and behind the wheelchair. The guy is a freaking genius.

If not; it's very fast paced with and unexpected twist. Looking forward to watching more REN with you! My first thought was Hunter Biden, cause his father made him what he is. Sad really. I'm sure that's not who this is about, but that's who I thought of.

This was an emotional part of the game he created based on the 7 deadly sins. The whole thing a lesson on greed, and the strength of cooperative problem solving. We have to want it. And the moneyed elite will not want to give up control.
