This doctor Very well explained the problem I have.. it took three years to understand the problem after visiting 3 ENT doctors and an expensive MRI scan but he explained in 10 mins 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Welldone Doctor, wish I could visit you for the diagnosis and treatment.
Hello doc! I'm glad that I found your chanel. Now I knew what condition I have now. Can I ask, doc? Is there any alternative way to reduce the turbinate without any surgical process?
Dear doctor, thank for your very informative video, last year I used for two months oxymetazoline and I stopped using it, so Im wondering is it enough time to be prone to hypertrophic turbinate together with low humidity winter?, my problem started last winter and at that time I have diagnosed with mite allergy and since then I cannot breath even taking allergy medicaments well. Yesterday an ETN have diagnosed I have hypertrophic turbinate
Hi, It's possible that the use of oxymetazoline, alongside the low humidity of winter, contributed to your current nasal congestion. Generally, using oxymetazoline for only two months would be unlikely to cause a significant long-term change in your nasal tissue. If your current allergy medication isn't helping, it might be worthwhile discussing other treatment options with your doctor. This could include strategies to manage your mite allergy, other medications, or potential surgical interventions for your hypertrophied turbinates.
Nice discussion. I am a college going girl.I am suffering from bad headache and sinus pain for 3 months.. In my MRI report it was found hypertrophied inferior nasal terminates..
Thank you for the explanation, doctor. Your explanation is much clearer than my doctor. I am not taking oral prednisolone for 2 weeks and antihistamine with daily nasal irrigation twice. If the condition is not improving after 1 month, my doctor suggested me to go for radiofrequency turbinate reduction.
Hello, doctor. I’ve been dealing with allergic rhinitis, mild sinusitis, and hypertrophy of the inferior bilateral turbinates, mainly on the right side. I also have a deviated nasal septum towards the left, which causes frequent nasal blockage, throat infections, and facial pain, especially during seasonal changes. Despite various treatments, these symptoms persist throughout the year, and I experience recurrent infections with noticeable turbinate enlargement. I would appreciate your advice on long-term relief or preventive care options. Thank you!

And is it a way we can treat her hearing loss issue? Which arrives almost every month from September 2022.
Hi, your doctor must have checked for adenoids. He should have suggested nasal sprays to tackle allergies. The only way to tackle allergies is avoidance and regular anti-allergic medication. Spray delivery in correct way and gargling well after nasal spray is important to avoid any possible side effects of nasal spray. You may consult your doctor for more detailed evaluation.

Thanks for this nice explanation. I think I have enlarged turbinates in both holes of my nose. The cause of it I don't know. I think I am allergic to inhaling cigarette smoke from others... I never called it allergy though. I was young so from time to time it happens. But then lateron during and after a flu, I still cannot breathe. The otrivine nasal drops or sprays helped a lot... so I can live my everyday life normally. I also have sleep apnea meaning during sleep I suddenly cannot breathe through my nose and my mouth will not respond to breathe. So I get nightmares all the time. But the real cause of swollen turbinates is unknown. I need to breathe, so I need to keep using the nasal drops. Saline solutions do not help. If you advice me to stop using the otrivine nasal drops accordingly... and the swelling of the turbinates continue at daily basis... means I have to get surgery or breathe my mouth all the time. I am very fatigued overtime to see a doctor... so I needed to help myself. So I can breathe. But the cause is till unknown and no doctor wants to help.
Hi, I understand your struggle with nasal congestion and sleep apnea. It's crucial, though, to avoid long-term self-medication as it can lead to complications. As an ENT specialist, I strongly recommend seeking professional medical help. They can identify the root cause of your symptoms and provide targeted treatment, which may not necessarily involve surgery. I know you're feeling tired and frustrated, but don't lose hope. There are doctors who can help. Your health is worth it.
I am also facing the same problem like you, are you fine now? Pls tell me what kind of steps you took for past 3 months. Pls suggest me, I also struggling for past 6 months.

Sir I am suffering from this turbinates situation as well. It has been 2 years and I've been on homeopathic medication, but there has been no improvement since months now. I don't know if I should continue with homeopathy or consider an allopathic doctor now. But they suggested for FESS surgery I think. I was not ready for surgery hence I went ahead with homeopathy

Sir can turbinates expand further during night or laying in bed or on plane?
Hi, exposure to allergens or irritants can cause increase in the size of turbinates.
I was diagnosed with swelling of turbunate after i got infected with covid 19 in last January (2022). I don't have any issue of sinusitis. So, Is my condition due to any infection?
Hi, turbinates enlarge because of allergies, irritant exposure or continuing inflammation
Hey Doc what do you think of empty nose syndrome and how rare is it?
Hi, Not very common. Haven't seen any with it in the last 10 years
13*12 mm turbinate enlarge is risky?? Can i go for surgery or not?? I faced pressure on nose everyday....
Hi, pressure in the nose cannot because of turbinates. Other causes should be ruled out.
Hi doctor, my daughter is 4 years old and suffering from enlarged turbinates, and because of that gets fluid and swelling in her eardrum and suffers from moderate hearing loss. The doctor has advised her to use the steroid spray (mometasone). Wanted to know how long can we use the steroid which doesn't affect my daughter in the future.

I don’t believe in coblation turbinate reduction. After experience from thousands of surgeries, i have realised the technique of turbinoplasty works well. No trivial trauma cannot cause septum deviation.

the nasal turbinates are inflamed..what can I do pls
Hi, u can use saline nasal drops.
Good information, thank you dr
Welcome 😊
