    Did you add the wiring harness extension? It recommended that I purchase it for +$30.

    • @Sliderz_Official
      @Sliderz_Official  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I would, to avoid having to rotate connector on pump which can be done instead.

  • @ganuv
    @ganuv ปีที่แล้ว +3

    You don’t need the extension at all just turn the connector the other way , as simple as that

      Car is very reliable, I currently have a low mileage 18 one 0 problems, I met someone with a 16 gen 1 340 as well over 100k miles and only problem is coolant leaking through screw on cap.

    great video!, do you think adding the B58TU bosch pump to a b48 gen1 will make any improvements, i run 99 RON pump gas only, i have bm3 ots maps im assuming it would not make much difference until i get my custom map right? the whole idea is it can flow more fuel, better/more burn = more power available right?

    • @Sliderz_Official
      @Sliderz_Official  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for your support! The reason I upgraded my pump was to run E85 / high ethanol blends more efficiently and to avoid any lean conditions. Upgrading your pump will only make improvements if you hit the limits of your current fuel pump. You will
      not know if you are running out of fuel and need more fuel without graphing a few logs. As you start pushing more Boost you will need to compensate with more fuel. A reputable B48 tuner can give you better direction with your power goals in mind and will recommend upgrading according to how your logs look. You may not need to upgrade for a stock turbo but an upgraded one will require more fuel to keep up with more boost. SEND IT !

      @@Sliderz_Official Great info thanks man so got a few good points.
      1. new turbo = TU pump to meet demands of new turbo
      2. GEN 1 stock b48 and b58 psi for pump is around 2500 to 3000, TU pump allows for up to 5000!
      3. Installing this pump pre custom tune/turbo, will NOT effect existing map / OTS map, even though the pump has the capactiy for 5000 psi, it will run the 2500 to 3000 its programmed to due to the map, so after install no need to rush a custom map
      4. Seems like a great pre requisite for any b48 and b58 owner prior to a new turbo especially as you push more power, your ensuring the reliability by making sure your fuel to air ratio is good at high speeds and high rpms
      seems like a great install for anyone looking to custom map/ ethanol OR like me custom map/ turbo (ill just stick with 99 pump gas cant be bothered with meth kits etc lol just a preference on my part).
      and great video thanks for replying :D

      Yes it will if you adjust/trim the insulation foam under it to fit your setup.

       yeah I just looked the flange on my mini is different plus it’s cam driven. Haven’t found a replacement that makes power thought because it’s a bmw motor might be the same just got the thing. My factory one taps at 300 they do all sorts of voodoo intake spacer and regular injectors as secondary instead of the high pressure pump. Crazy as they are a cup car for the MINI CHALLENGE you’d think there’s better support. Craziest thing this 1.6 liter pricing for aftermarket support is rediculous.
      Single cam build 4K 800hp😂
      Mini 1.6 5k induction kit
      Intake 3k
      Rods 1k from corillo
      Pistons 800😂😂😂😂😂😂

    noobie here, how do you disconnect the battery?

    • @Sliderz_Official
      @Sliderz_Official  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Go to your trunk and pull the little panel on the right directly behind your passenger tail light , your battery will be below it ! You’ll need a 10mm socket to loosen the negative terminal and disconnect it from battery. Make sure not to slam your trunk closed so you don’t lock yourself out!
