Talk with Rob Montgomery in Mtn Home. He owns Shortys Towing and has a gorgeous blue 79 Bronco and 70's crew cab Ford. His wife has a retro built late 70 also. Prettiest blue I have ever seen, with silver accents.
Yes we talked this morning. Matte black is out. Most likely, we will go with one of the beautiful blues. Thanks for your input. We truly appreciate it!
I'm currently wrestling with color choice too. Has to be a factory color in my opinion. Lunar green , swiss aqua , sea pine green (my original color) , sky view blue , boxwood green....like them all but still cant decide! I'm just a little behind you progress wise. Will definitely enjoy watching your progress.
@chevelleranch7481 yea it's a tough call. I love all of the factory colors. But picking one is way harder than expected. Still haven't committed. Thank you for being a part of our channel. I sure would love to see your project as well.
Man this build is going to be insane!! You have incredible taste, I can’t wait to see it all come together. I’ve got a survivor ‘76 highboy I’m going to restore someday when I get some money haha
Hey, thanks for your kind comment! I truly appreciate it. And I'm so happy to hear that all of you are just as excited about this build as I am. Just start tinkering on that truck. A little here and a little there. Before you know it, you are driving it over here to Boise to show it off!
@@foxtailadventures haha my truck actually runs and drives ok, just needs the a lot of stuff improved. Im over in SE Idaho. I saw you reppin Klim gear in some of your vids, Its great stuff, that is where I work.
@joeyhoagland860 hey if it runs and drives you're miles ahead of me. Heck yea! We wear a ton of Klim. Best stuff available anywhere. Thanks for being a part of the build. Subscribe and you'll be ready for the next vid!
@rockymatthews8643 I really do. It is definitely harder to keep clean, and it tends to show microscratches. A lighter color might be better in the long run.
@peanutsmith1462 oh, believe me I know all too well. I had recorded a whole thing about that but left it out. I went through hell with opiates and my spinal injuries. Stay away from them at all costs.
What are your plans for the Ford hi boy when your finished ? Possibly selling it , I'm Interested for sure ! I like how ur going thru the build one step at a time doing it correctly. Good luck with ur shoulder & Merry Christmas... jim
We have a 71' F-350 that we picked up a few years ago. We have a video of us re- covering the seat. th-cam.com/video/g4zwW77schY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=z7BBlGkOy0Cvideo. We ended up removing the original cover before redoing it 🤷 subbed to your channel and looking forward to your future vids.
Rotor cuff surgery is the worst.........takes for ever to get back to "normal". Great build bro!!
It is rough. But I'm doing great now. And the project is moving forward. Thank you for being a part of it.

Merry Christmas mate. I will be following the whole building. Thanks for showing us your pups too !! All the best from Calgary Alberta.
Merry Christmas to you and yours. And I'm very happy to hear that you are enjoying my build. Lots of great stuff coming up.
What?!?!? I just finished Part 1, and I thought it might be days or weeks until the next one. Merry Christmas to me. This is a great build.
Merry Christmas! Best wishes for the New Year! Take care of your shoulder. Looking forward to seeing the full build series.
Yea, it's a slow burn process of healing. But I will be good as new in 7 or 8 years. 😊

@rockymatthews8643 yes it gets me all excited to keep going and make it special. And that is what I will do. It will be amazing when. I'm done.
I love the black

I plan to make it the best it can be and I plan to keep it.
Are you going to add a plow onto it? Love the build.
@stevebrooks2925 I hadn't planned on it. We don't live where we need one.
Those steel wheels dont have the 4 slots in them either like the originals but they look good

Leave the white steelies. No wheel covers! You won't regret it, It'll look tougher than tiger shit!
@ronaldrobinson5532 the more I look at it, the more I agree. It's a perfect classic look.
