Just stumbled across your video as I’m scrolling. Ironically I’m home healing from rotator cuff surgery myself. I’m 3 weeks post op now & will start therapy next week. I’m a sucker for an old Ford truck so I can’t wait to see how this turns out! Good luck & be careful with that shoulder!
Looks like a great build! I subscribed and will be following along. I'm glad you have the time to let that rotator cuff heal after surgery. I had a tear several years ago that was originally misdiagnosed, then turned into a frozen shoulder, then surgery had to be delayed due to covid restrictions. Once I did finally have surgery my surgeon said it was one of the worse he's ever seen. Unfortunately it was a workplace injury, and my company ignored the doctor's orders of "return to work for light office duty" and sent me into the field 2 weeks after surgery to build a silo. Not exactly light duty, and the shoulder never did heal correctly. Listen to your doctor and let it heal, but do the exercises they give you. Good luck!
Brutal. I don't know how you worked. I had my surgery 6 weeks ago today. And it is very painful. But I'm on the mend. I just have to take it slow. I'm a go go kind of guy. I don't like sitting around. But there are still fun things to do on the project that don't require heavy work right now. Plus, I have some great friends that are helping. I should have it in a roller stage this week. I'll have another great video up soon. I truly appreciate your comments. And I hope you heal up.
I think that's going to turn out to be a real fancy truck and especially now that you're keeping it straight and you're not going for all that four link stuff I think it's going to be fantastic my son-in-law has a truck like that that he got from his father that he painted name is Jason Smith
Yes, my goal for this truck and the whole reason I wanted it is to maintain that vintage Ford appeal. With some modern upgrades where it counts. But not over the top. Something I can walk out and see and be proud of.
Even though, I’m not a Ford guy, but I’m wanting to build projects like this on the GM platform, and the old school VW’s and turn it in a business that doesn’t require a timeline and work on my schedule & terms.
I almost did a Chevy. Love them both. I turned my passion for building Jeeps into a business. Worst decision ever. Very successful. But I grew to hate it. The problem with setting your own timeline on customer builds is the customer has a much different opinion about that. Unless you plan to do spec builds. And sell afterward. That's different. Good luck in all you do!
@ I have a different approach to it. I’m a Welder by trade. So I can fabricate and Then I can build what I want whether it’s a GM or a VW. Realistically, I want to rip out the IFS and do solid axle swaps on the GMT400/800 trucks and the goal is to build 4WD overland vehicles on the GM platform, pickup or van.
The hitch mount in the front is used for putting and removing boat at a ramp. My 72 Ford duel has one.
@@JackSmith-jj3bi oh yea, I remember seeing that on my grandpa's old Dodge truck. I removed it though.

👎👎😒😒 Boo. I was hoping to see you DOING some work, instead of TALKING about doing some work. I hate constant yak, yak, yak, yak.
