Hello were you able to find a doctor in your area that prescribes bioptics?, if not i can absolutely help you find a prescriber closest to you in your area
@@khadijahdavis1572 Of course, there are ophthalmologists here as well, but I did not know an optician who deals with bioptic and telescopic eyeglasses like you.
Low vision glasses like the bioptics in this video are prescribed by a low vision doctor who will evaluate the person's remaining vision, determine what power and type of glasses will best suit the needs of the patient and will include the person's prescription in the glasses. That requires a face to face visit with the doctor. It can't be done long distance. I hope you are able to find a low vision doctor in your country. Now that you've seen the video you will know what to ask for. Good luck.
ive been dealing with md since 2001, i have wet md in left eye and lost the central vision due to the scarring, ive had dry in the right eye that was dormant until recently, now my vision i depend on is going away. you didn't say if the lady had wet or dry or how advanced it was. do these help if you have the scar from wet md, my scar is centered, if i look at you close i see all but the head of the person by adjusting how i look at them. ive had jordy's but could not adapt to them, and i still had good sight in right eye.
Telescopic glasses are helpful to people with wet or dry AMD. It depends on how much vision they have remaining. Why don't you call me. We can talk about your remaining vision and your goals. Then I will be able to tell you if I can help you. 866 321-2030
Thank you so much for this video , it’s just what I’ve been looking for but couldn’t remember the name of the glasses ! Would you happen to know of a good doctor like yourself in California, Santa Barbara area, you recommend , to see if these glasses will work for me ? Blessings!
Hello were you able to find a doctor in your area that prescribes bioptics?, if not i can absolutely help you find a prescriber closest to you in your area
Thanks for the question. In Virginia, where I live, the Department for the Blind and Visually Impaired helps some people with bioptics. My understanding is that they only help people who need the glasses in order to be employed. You should check with them yourself. Each state has a similar agency which helps people with impaired vision. Good luck.

Thank you for asking this question for the third time. The only time Medicaid in Virginia pays for glasses for adults is the first pair after cataract surgery. If you have other insurance you should check with the company to find out. Some insurance companies will pay some of the cost of glasses.
