Just received my new Addi and have just finished my first hat. Your instruction was excellent for a new user, precise step by step, well spoken and also used clear video using zoom in feature to show points of interest. Excellent video and highly recommend to first time user of the Addi King. 👍
Thank you for this tutorial! I just bought one at a local thrift store for $8. I do knit and crochet, but this is my first time using a knitting machine. I will be making hats for a cancer center, and my daughter will be getting treatment from.
@@Dream9Design Awesome!!! I have to get knee replacement and I’m only 46 years old! I don’t get my surgery till November so this is what I’m gonna be doing for months and months and months!!!😹 what else do you make on yours? I subscribed to your channel I think last week. I’m gonna start a TH-cam channel pretty soon myself. I usually drive a dump truck and take down trees for a living but I won’t be doing that for a while so I am going to open up an Etsy store and other miscellaneous things. i’m already so in love with this machine and I already made my first hat! My machine didn’t come till late so I’ll be starting back up in the morning😭 have a good evening friend!🥰😊✨
Thank you so much for sharing! Just made my first hat and WOW! I had my machine for "awhile". I pulled it out today while waiting on the turkey! I'm hooked now! Your instructions were so clear and fun to watch. Thank you! (Happy Thanksgiving!)
I just watched your video as I am considering buying the Addi Express Knitting Machine. I like your demonstration and I feel this will be something I can use. Just had carpal and cubital tunnel surgery and I am not sure if I will be able to go back to the old fashioned way of knitting. Thank you for the details.
There is also an amazing attachment for the machine that you just flip a switch and it will turn the rows! 💗saved your hands even more! I’m so glad my video helped you
Hello. Thanks for this tutorial. My Addi arrived today. I’m planning on trying it out tomorrow. Have one question, if I may? After you cinched the inside top closed, I didn’t notice you tying the two ends together. Wondering, does this mean that the hat could have the inner cinched end pulled out from the bottom? Thank you.
Thank you for your video, but could you show how you finish the hat with a little more detail? I can’t figure out what you do when you tie the two ends together.
How much yarn do you use for one of these hats? I have a lot of size 4 yarn I want to use up but was curious how much yarn these things take. They aren't very cheap so I want to make sure I know what I'm getting into and if I can use it.
@@Dream9Designfinished the hat and had taken it off the loom. The bottom of the hat the part that you put your head in... Curls up. Like the first three or four rows have a curl in them. Does that make sense? I can take a picture too... By the way thanks for answering!
Ive TRIED to make 4 different caps & EVERYTIME I wind up with huge HOLES in the caps. Ive tried going slow - tried going fast & the holes are all over the place. Is it me? Is it the machine? Help. wish I could attach a photo.
I'm not super experienced with it, but ot sounds like a tension issue. Either too tight or not tight enough. If you have a ball of yarn it could be bouncing too much and yanking back
I hadn't touched my Addi in probably 5 years or so and needed a refresher. This video was perfect! Thanks!

I tie the two together at the very end of the video 💗☺️

You're welcome ☺️
Do you suggest where to buy an knitting machine?. Any ones better than others?.
I have been using the Addi and I love it! I got mine off of amazon
Thank you for this very easy tutorial. I would like to know where I can get the clamps that hold the machine.
I am so glad it was helpful!! Mine came with them. I think you can find them on amazon 💗
Thank you for your video, but could you show how you finish the hat with a little more detail? I can’t figure out what you do when you tie the two ends together.
Of course I can definitely do a better up close on how to do this step! Once you tie them together you just see your ends in to hide them 💗
What is the difference between finishing this way or using scrap yarn to start/finish? Is it just preference?
Unless you are making a draw string close like a beanie you want to use the scrap yarn
Thank you.
How do you get counter to zero. Just bought mine.
You turn it and it will go up then start over 💗💗
How much yarn do you use for one of these hats? I have a lot of size 4 yarn I want to use up but was curious how much yarn these things take. They aren't very cheap so I want to make sure I know what I'm getting into and if I can use it.
You should be able to make a beanie with one skein
With two skeins I can make three hats
Followed it step by step and everything worked great. When I folded the bottom part up the ends curl. How Do you get rid of that?
@@stevekonwent9144 I’m glad it was helpful! What do you mean by the bottom part curls up? What step of the hat were you in?

❤❤❤❤❤
I know this is an older video, do you recall how much yarn this took of the 4 weight?
Roughly 150-160 yards
Hi mom it's Anouk
What size head adult or child? I dont have a machine yet is this all you can do with it one size hats ? Thanks just researching before i buy ❤
You can do just about any size hat on here! I have even make a baby hat! 💗 it all depends on how many rows you do
I had a return that pink one and white 1 back to that $80 1 on Amazon hit broke after 3 hats have you had any problems with that 1
I have issues with some yarns but the Addi is definitely worth the investment. It has a lot less issues than the others I in my opinion
Ive TRIED to make 4 different caps & EVERYTIME I wind up with huge HOLES in the caps. Ive tried going slow - tried going fast & the holes are all over the place. Is it me? Is it the machine? Help. wish I could attach a photo.

Yarn. Yarn type is huge. I am sos Rory for the late response. But I found red bear soft works AMAZING
What size will this hat make? Child, teen, adult, male adult? In inches also
This is a teen to adult. Depending on how many rows you do you can make your hat longer or shorter. About 85-90 rows for a child
So 120 rows for an adult size ha, right? About how many rows for a baby, kid, or XL adult size?
120 if you want to be able to fold it. I now use 96 rows for an adult. I will do a new video for size options 🤗
I have to get one.
Добрый день Можно узнать цену машины.Как ее купить,если Я живу в Беларуси?
How to make a toque
I would do 120 to 130 rows depending on how big you want your brim to be
Made this hat and the top of my hat was a lot longer than yours looked.
How many rows did you do?
120
Humm. I’m not sure? What kind of yarn did you use
Red heart no. 4 from walmart
Thanks!
💗💜💗💜 you are most welcome!
