Great job explaining this Cody! I bet lots of yarny peeps will have an Addi on their Christmas list after seeing your video. Glenda your smile with your new hat is priceless. What a blessing to spend this treasured time with your grandson.
Thanks for watching ❤ I hope everyone enjoyed it! Filming and editing this video was a lot of work 😂 So plz drop a like and watch as much of the video as possible! We are on our way to 250 members when we get there we will be doing a giveaway! We are currently at 215!!! 🎉
Glad you are enjoying your Addi machine. I got mine for Christmas and although crochet will always be my go to, I do like how fast I can make something on this machine. A couple tips for you: if you attach your machine to the corner of the table, ie one hook on the front left leg and one hook on the back right, you will have less movement when cranking. Also, marking the first red peg with a sharpie at the first black needle helps when you are cranking to see when the beginning is coming around if you need precise row counts. If you are short on space or need something more permanent in the way of mounting your machine, Walmart sells 12 X 12 wood canvas boards that fit under the machine perfectly. You will need to get four metal hooks from the hardware store and the machine can be mounted to the board and just put away when not in use. This saves a lot of time setting up the machine and putting it away each use. Hope these tips help, and thanks for the great videos you make.
Fun to see you guys work the machine. I love making hats on mine. You can make scarves too. Just knit a long tube, tie off each end and attach a pompom to each cinched end. They turn out very lovely.
Oh My Gosh you guys made my day, you are such sweet people and this was a fantastic tutorial, I love the machine. My 85 year old dad has been wearing his same hats outside in the cold forever. Guess who's getting a hat any day now. At that age everyday should be Christmas morning 😊❄🎄🎉🎊 Thank you Grandma and Cody🎁
Thanks for showing us. Have always wanted to get one but thought it would be to tricky and did not want to waste my money. You’ve changed my mind. Thanks for the tutorial.
After watching this, I might give mine a try…finally! I’ve been staring at it since Christmas! 🤦🏻♀️😂 Thank you for making it look like something I can do. 😊
If you put the machine in the corner and use the 2 clamps in the front and on the side it works great. 3 weight yarn works the best. Thanks for the tutorial. Love watching you.
Yay Cody!!!! So glad you finally unpacked that Addi and used it! Now you can include swatches from the Addi when you show us yarn samples. I don't want to miss a single review now!!!
That was an Awesome tutorial Cody! You are a Great Teacher, I've always wondered how the Addi worked, Thank You for showing us! Glenda, Pink looks really nice on you, it's definitely your color. Thanks Again!! Blessings 💕
Cody's a real pro! Great demo! Thanks for joining your Grandma. You two make a great team! 😍 And thanks to whoever gifted the Addi. I have it on my Christmas wish list. 😘
Best tutorial I’ve ever watched on how to use these machines and how to get the piece off the machine and completed. I have a Sentro and it’s on a shelf because it intimidates me. Thank you, Cody, for making it less intimidating for me.
I have a tip for connecting the machine to the table for a sturdier fit. I put mine on the eagle of table and put one on the front leg to table and one on the back leg on the side of the table makes it fit to table tighter. I have had my addi for a bit now I haven’t used it much I’ve made a few hats but just can’t seem to find time to make other things. Enjoyed the video Cody you done a great job with the demonstration. Have a wonderful day both of you.
You did a GREAT job Cody! Thanks for doing this video and taking the mystery out of the Addi. Your are a great teacher, patient, clear and calm . ❤❤❤pretty hat on you Glenda…Pink is my favorite color too.
Hi guys, a couple of tips for you with the circular machine, 1/ always remember to make sure that your yarn holder is closed before you start cranking, it can break the needles 2/ take a black permanent marker pen and colour the red part between your last white and first black, it makes it easier to see when the end of your row is coming up 3/ don't let your work drag on the table, it can cause the stitches to come off the needles, as soon as it starts to touch the table, roll it from the bottom to form a doughnut and keep doing it as it gets longer 4/ don't reset your counter until after you have caast on, the cast on round doesn't count in your row count You made a great start with it, it can get quite addictive once you get going with it and you will be surprised at just how much you can make with it. I love Koala Knits and Knack, she's just done a tutorial for a really sweet little ghost, for Halloween, check her out. Have a lovely weekend xxx
Sarah on Crochet Vision uses Alien Tape to fasten her machine's legs to her table. Loved that yarn you picked out Glenda! Thanks Cody you did a good job demonstrating the Addi. I've thought about getting one but IDK. For one thing I'd go through yarn too fast. Budgets don't allow that😂.
