Network Rail knew for two years that the wall which went in 2014 was in bad repair and did nothing till after it collapsed. The first phase of the wall at Marine Parade caused a great deal of distress to the residents, me included. The workmen could have parked in the Train Station car park but took over all spaces on Marine Parade depriving some residents, including disabled, of their parking space. The workmen worked through the night, arriving in their cars, slamming doors, shouting & swearing. At times some residents, including me, were in the road pleading with them to cut down the noise so that we could sleep. We were met with abuse and on one occasion had to get the police involved. The dust from the concrete found it's way into peoples homes. B&Bs on Marine Parade were forced to refund holiday makers as they were unable to sleep. They were refused compensation by Network Rail! Marine was treated like a building site, NOT a residential area. Shame on you Network Rail & BAM
'one of the railway lines' - yeah well you know little about this then matey. Who did your research? btw the rest of the line along here is suffering and the cliff is unstable too. The line is still in trouble.
