    what a brilliant idea doing these videos. its the sort of thing that should be done more with public projects. gives people an idea of whats going on and why.

    These videos are the way you get younger people interested in civil engineering and vocational qualifications. For far too long schools have pushed young people towards university and 'soft' degrees rather than push the vocational qualifications. Decades ago an HND was more highly regarded than a degree as the holder was far more useful to an employer.
    Well done BAM Nuttall.

    The fly-through cgi gives a marvellous idea of what it will look like. Impressive construction operation, especially given the battle with tide times.

    Another great video from Cams man and Jack. I was in dawlish a month ago and the progress since then in massive.
    I take my hat off to anyone who works outdoors battling the weather but even more so fighting the sea and the extremes of weather.
    Keep up the great work.

    All the years i've been going to Dawlish (40 or more), I watched as each year, the sand has longshore drifted up the wall.
    When I first came to Dawlish, there would be at least a 10 foot drop from the LOWest part of the wall to the sand, at high tide it was deep enough to jump off the TOP wall into the sea.
    I was wondering, where the original work was done, it could be replicated - dredge the sand, and put a few groynes in.
    It's the same with the Red Rock, the wall is damaged simple due to long shore drift and the water being higher.

    Great job being done. I guess there will be disabled access when all work is finished to be able to go along to Dawlish Warren. I used to love the walk along there. Will be in Dawlish again in a few weeks time, so look forward to seeing how it’s all going. Will have some of our family with us who haven’t seen any of the changes since work very first began,toilet end. So they will be in for a shock.

    I'm sure you have already kicked yourself...audio levels out of the Rode Go's, both were clipping. I have noticed this on my GO-II's, unless I set the gain carefully, they will easily overload and clip.
    You know you can mix both mics down to mono on each channel of the camera system?

    • @CoastCams247
      @CoastCams247  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Yes. I'm aware. I like to have a little stereo separation on the channels but I forgot to mix it down properly before I rendered it, and the yes kicking myself about the clipping.

    • @JohnnyMotel99
      @JohnnyMotel99 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CoastCams247 It's always a bit odd when BAM man is on the left...but his voice is on the right!
      The issue is that two Rode Lav's feeding ch 1 & 2 is not really stereo. Mixing down to reduce the separation is a neat way to go.
