This video is a goldmine for filming cinematic travel videos with an iPhone! The behind-the-scenes tips and creative techniques are truly helpful for anyone looking to elevate their travel footage. 📸✨
Great video! I really appreciate hearing your thought process as you’re considering composition and motion, choosing lenses, framerates, etc. Very helpful!
Good videos my guy! Im planning a trip to japan in abit, never done travel videos before but i feel the guidance you give will help me get better videos than if i went in and just filmed everything. xD
Thanks! for helping me to find out why my footage was flickering. In fact I over sharped the footage. And it was mostly flickering in the branches of the trees. Problem solved :))
You did a Gopro 10 cinematic tutorial sometime ago. Is there any chance of you doing an updated one showing how to get better footage given the limitation of a lack of zoom and potential use of ND filters.
No, in this video I used my DepthScape LUTs (link in the description) and I also often use Look Designer by Colorlab (also link in description), which is similar to Dehancer.
Great video with useful techniques. In theory it should be possible to get similar results with a Samsung S22 or 23 ultra ? It would be great if you could make a video using a Samsung.
Rather the newest Samsung as it has a LOG profile. I'm can't financially justify purchasing third-party phones for myself. So unless Samsung sends me one for testing, I have to pass sorry.
Hello Pascal hope you're doing well :). I have a question that has nothing to do with the iPhone but a new pro camera that I bought. I don't know if it's a camera issue or a user error. When I'm out filming in daytime in 60p and slowed down in post, I get flickering in the footage as soon I start moving the camera. Even by very slow movements. The whole image just starts flickering. I'm not using any ND filters. So my shutter speed is high. I still couldn't figure out why that happens. Have you ever experienced something like that?
@@pascalbasel amazing thank you so much Pascal. It's true! I sharped the footage in FCPX. I made a test without sharpening and the flickering is gone 😃 Thank you so so much
thanks for the video. I'm a beginner and film with Sony A6700 + Sigma 16mm 1.4f and am thinking about buying the Tamron 17-70mm 2.8f for standard zoom, what do you think of it? I also find my videos a bit blurry. I have already dealt with posture and slow motion. However, is it normal that the recordings are a bit shaky and you only get it smooth after editing or is it more just me? thanks in advance
@ thank you for your answer. Does it make sense to use ibis and lens stabilization at the same time ? Or is it rather bad ? Since I’m thinking between the sigma 18-50mm and tamron 17-70mm, thank again in advance !
While shooting the whole video on a full frame camera . Why not shoot the whole video with a second phone ? So we really know how it would look like filming a travelvlog?

For me, what ever you do is fine. Do what you enjoy the most doing. I'm following since many years. This is a new channel though :)
Love this!

Finally a good video about shooting, not endless conversations with the author's face all over the screen. Keep up the good work.
Loved this! Makes me want to get out and capture something with my iPhone and new Neo drone 😊
Amazing video and it shows, that you can make great videos even just with your phone! 😎
It’s wild what these things can do.
Love these smaller projects...I normally film BROLLS with my iphone (too broke to buy my dream camera)...and I always enjoy these videos.

Красаучег. Мастер золотые руки. Удачи!
I like more the scenes explanations :)

I know that took a lot of work. Thank you!

That's a great tutorial!
Are u using dehancer pro ?

Ic it flickers around the edges of things, it might be over-sharpened footage.

Great video! Which case do you use to attach the filter with clip? With my case, the filter doesn’t fit well with the cameras. Thanks!
I always use Slim cases and the filter always works. This one is the Sandmarc one but also tried it with others.

It’s a great lens. I used it a lot on Fujifilm cameras. A bit of shake happens easily. Just correct it in post.

@ yes together means even better stabilization.

If you send me a second phone ;-)
It would look the same minus background blur.
