This is what many Indian families do. They all chip in for one house, they buy it, they move in and pay that mortgage off within a couple years. Then use that house as collateral to buy a bigger house and first house will go to a member of that family but they all still put money to the next house and the next one after that. The way this tongan club is doing it really awesome. They could even go into house flipping scene and build up a nice portfolio for the club as well. Really inspiring.
This is bloody awesome, 💪 Our people need to learn to sacrifice a few coffees, nights out, etc to save and keep bank statements clean to get on the right direction to buying a house. Malo e ngaue lelei mo malohi, 💪

Awesome stuff. Pacific parents should keep pushing young kids to pursue and complete higher education. Migrants (esp from Asia or Europe) that move to NZ successfully (self-reliant) are often those with bachelors or more. It's not that trades are bad, but if you have the opportunity to pursue something where you get paid more while damaging your body less, why settle for grunt work?
Don't say Pacific parents and generalise us all. There are some of us out here who have done quite well and have made sure our kids follow that same path but not all pacific parents have had the same opportunity as us. There's more to it than you think!!
@@ramonaelia7596 great, do you want an award? Obviously there are exceptions to the trend, but overwhelmingly, Pacific students are less represented in higher education and in skilled jobs. It has been shown that higher education strongly correlates with upward mobility. There's nothing wrong about encouraging Pacific parents to push their children towards higher education.
@@ramonaelia7596 chill out for replying to your reply? It sounds like nobody has ever said no to you before. Sorry Ramona, that's not how the real world works.
