  • This week's episode of Onboard Lifestyle, we finished off a few projects on our catamaran and wait for a weather window to head out and get back to sailing. We were anxious to test our our newly reinstalled main and see how she performs under wind. It was a wild ride with our first overnight passage since our infamous log encounter and we are so happy with her performance as well as how well our crew faired. Time for a little celebration before our next port of call. Come back next week to see what we are up to! See you then!

I can understand the Captain here. He has not sailed in what at least 10 years? And now you do start down the coast after the first sail running into a log. And your sailing literally a brand new home made boat who has not proven itself whatsoever. We have watched Teal build this thing and I would assume we probably believe in his craftsmanship more than he does. I know I suffer from perfectionism myself and something is ever good enough where your not second questioning yourself. So congratulations to a successful passage!!

You are traveling exactly the right way, in my opinion, taking the time to appreciate all that's on offer along the way instead of racing to a destination. That's sure the way I'd do it.

I don't take it for granite anymore being a ' land lover ', just how much work and dedication it takes to travel across water than land and it means so much more when safety is an issue and putting a dent on the side of my car has a different meaning and cost, than a fender bender on my home.....Happy Father's Day Teal...

All that weight reduction and basic construction of your boat makes it super fast compared to most of the barges being put out by the major builders of cats today. Makes me wonder if any cats today use the construction material that your boat is made with and if not why not, so many boats with balsa core waiting for the rot to start.

We bought our Landfall 39 at Lake Union and outfitted her there which took a while, so when it was time to come to Vancouver we had to make a fast trip (MOTORING ).. 4 days and nights!!!! No sailing BOORING. Surprise---- The Columbia Bar was almost a mirror. Hope the rest of your trip down this part of the Pacific Coast is as good Thanks

Hurray. Compass got the most screen time ever. Of course it’s not enough but it’s a start. Oh going out the door where is Compass’ combo life vest and harness? Does he have an AIS personal beacon so he can be rescued? If he had an address I would ship him one. And on my boat, I rearranged the instrument and nav light switches into row top left so no fumbling in dark or emergency. Just another Teal project! Stay safe and healthy including you, Compass.

Happy to see you are back again, missed you last week. Once you have your cockpit enclosed, it will be so much better for all of you. What a long, long year it has been so far for you guys up on this part of the coast, cold and wet and waiting for those weather windows, makes it ever so long. Will it ever end😞. Hopefully one day you guys will be in a place with light blue calm waters and sunny days. We are looking forward to those days, in the meantime continue the journey, sale safe.
