Of all the guys that got out of the life you're doing the best and I genuinely believe that is because you turned to God. Thank you for acknowledging him and letting us inside your personal life as well
One of the biggest pieces of advice I've gotten from Mr. Franzese was "The first guy to raise his voice in an argument, automatically loses the argument." I've always had somewhat of a short temper and that statement has helped tremendously. Thank you, Mr. Franzese!
So very true. I have a temper myself. At work i have become a pro at being known for being so easy going and calm. I am not that in real life and still work on that to this day with the people I love and my family. No truer words. When you get mad, when you yell, when you name call, when you stop thinking, you have already lost.

Wow. I was glued to this story. I’ve been binge watching Michael’s channel since I found it last week. This was one of the most passionate, heart felt, impactful lessons in life I’ve ever heard. Amazing.
I find it amazing a man can come out of that life and be a Christian. It truly shows the power and mercy of our Father in heaven. God bless you and keep you in the true living faith believing in Jesus Christ.
No one can ever get in so deep that they are beyond help. How he is alive is a miracle because God had other plans for Michael that no oath could break.
@Jason A what do you expect? Constant and endless instant gratification? Thats not how the world works, that's not how God works. It only works when you choose to open your eyes to it, and or have integrity with yourself and try to find it. "If you seek, you shall find..." how do you expect to find something when you deny its existence, do anything to discredit and shut it down? The power of manifestation is real. What you put energy into, whatever you focus on, becomes your reality. You see the world through how you see yourself, what your thoughts and state of mind are. If God doesn't exist in your heart, in your mind, you don't experience God. Goes back to, "if you seek you shall find." Once you open your mind whole heartedly, it will present itself to you. It starts with letting go of the *ego.* Dissolve the ego and you will make an unmistakable connection with your higher self and with God. Some people are controlled by their own ego, which suppresses their spirit. When you block; suppress the spirit, you close it off to the light. Ego and spirit, is a balance of yin/yang. Too much of one can cause unbalance. For instance, too much egocentricity creates vanity. It will make you feel superior over others, you become so wrapped up in yourself, the idolatry replaces Family, God/the spirit. These are simple yet very complex things, they are multi-demensional. Once you unlock your mind and spirit, dissolve the ego, you will experience higher frequencies, higher levels of consciousness and higher forms of wisdom. The point is about God and spirituality, about energy and manifestation. People cringe and pull back so hard when it comes to believing in a higher power, like they will catch a deadly disease and die. I really cannot understand what's the worst that could happen to try and put your faith into a higher power? Obviously we are not all powerful, obviously _we_ are not God. God is part of us though, and God is everything and everything is God. People have their different ideas of God, but in the end its all the same God, just a different "path" to it. There is no harm in whole heartedly and humbly asking to show you the way, to present to you the path. There is no harm in humbly putting your faith out there. The key is to have willingness. The key is trusting. Trusting deters many people, they are incapable of it, as if it were a person, but ultimate trust coincides with belief being reality, it coincides with manifestation. Trust is the way. The only requirement is a desire to *find.* Michael said "God knows our hearts... You can't trick God." You can't be disgenuine, you can't lie, manipulate or fool God, not like you can a person. That's why your state of mind, your state of being, is your reality. If you open your mind, if you open your heart, you will find it. I can't tell you the remarkable signs I've experienced, the peace and serenity knowing that all is OK, that I am on the right path... Because everything happens for a reason, even if we don't know at that particular moment. We have our path, we have our journey. A good way to serenity is having faith and acceptance. Faith that everything will work out exactly the way its supposed to, and acceptance for all of your problems today. Until you learn acceptance, you know no peace. Until you learn to have faith, you will have distrust and denial. Love yourself, break the chains of ego, and have faith.
@Easonitus it’s such a lazy excuse too, “oh they met gods plan” Did the babies who were executed by Khmer Rouge by having their heads smashed into tree trunks meet gods plan too? you prefer to believe in a god who just sits by and let’s this happen - or even worse, planned for it to happen, all the horrendous stuff in the world. You prefer to believe in that malicious piece of shit rather than just accept that the world is a cold, lonely place and there is no magical nice boi in the sky to come and make it ok.
@@kevinkearney4187 what if that is evil and not God? If God represents the essence of love and light, wouldn't it make sense that evil is committed because of evil, not love and peace? Committed by those who are "without God." Unfortunately there is also evil in the world, not only good, love, etc. There is a balance of forces- good and evil, like yin/yang. There is not only one over the other and in this universe, there cannot only exist one side. There is an opposite to literally everything in this world, weather it be an opinion, a thought, a feeling, an action, etc. I don't understand why people humanize God as if they are a person responsible for other peoples' actions... People choose to lable an evil, soulless person's free will as the act of God. You understand that we cannot control everything that happens in the world, nor can we expect a beautiful perfect world... Because, unfortunately there are terrible things that happen in the world. We have free will, but we are sometimes powerless over the outcomes- the fate. We can ask for wisdom to better understand our will but we will never have full power over the laws of the universe. You can't blame everything bad on God. You can't, _not_ receive instant gratification for everything you want and then blame God for it. That's not how it works. "What kind of God would do that?!" That is not God, that is evil men/women who are _without_ God. Read my last comment to better understand. I'm not sure if what you're saying is just a denial-based excuse to further push away the idea or what... However, many people look for reasons or excuses to deny the existence of God which further pushes them away from finding or discovering a higher power or even their higher self... Because "if you seek you shall find, if you ask you shall receive." Lastly, you don't have to believe in anything, I won't judge you if you choose not to believe nor want to, or try to... That is your decision, however one cannot simply look away and ignore it in every way and then say "see its not real." Looking for reasons God is "bad" or not real, will only make you not see it or be blind to it. That's why it makes no sense to deny it if you don't even try to see it yourself. "If you seek you shall find."

Out of all the media etc I’ve watched about the mob & gangs your personal stories are the hardest hitting in terms of stopping someone from wanting to enter the organisation/gang life. God bless Michael. RIP to the friends you lost when part of that mess 🙏
17:11 This part really hit home for me Michael thanks so much! I’ve done a lot of bad things in my life been in and out of jail and have turned my life around but my past constantly haunts me and eats away at me because of the things I’ve done in the past and over the past 8 years I’ve turned my life around and now work hard and wouldn’t even so much as steal a piece of candy but your wisdom and words have really opened my eyes and made me realise what I’ve done shouldn’t dictate what I’m going to do and how I’m going to live in the future and for that I thank you!

Joining Michael's crew was one of the best things I've ever done. After 20 years in the military, I can relate to seeing things that people shouldn't ever have to see. Most importantly I love everything Michael does in speaking openly about mistakes of his past and how we all are responsible for our decisions. I'm a single father with a teenage son and talking with him about our relationship to Christ only goes so far as his dad. He loves to watch Michael's TH-cam channel (drawn in by the mob stories I'm sure) but Michael's message about how ALL things are possible through our Lord and Savior has begun to stick with him as well and he asks me about God as much as he does about mob life. I know God placed Michael in front of him to strengthen his relationship with Him at such an impressionable age. God bless you and your family Michael, and I can't thank you enough for what you're doing through your stories and testimony. Your brother in Christ, Jamie.
@John Smith - Because maybe Jesus knew he needed to be a mobster in order to find him. Also, Jesus gives you free will. It's YOUR responsibility to come to him. He doesn't force/stop you from doing something.
@John Smith - Jesus was Jewish. He followed the old testament. He never claimed to be "Christian" because it didn't exist yet lol. You are very, very dumb. "I love exposing people like you" yet you literally are just showing that you know nothing about the topic you are arguing about lmao
Every Monday I'm here. Even the stories he's told already new small or sometimes even large details are added. As an ex con I really feel him when he says you can't turn it off. You can change your actions, but you still instinctively sometimes think like a criminal. All you can do is avoid that life as much as possible and pray you don't react without thinking
Cant fake genuine and when talking about Artie, you could see the sadness. That hurt, and continues to hurt his heart. One of the things I love about these videos is the mix/balance between the street smarts/book smarts and how it can still be applied to everyday life. The fact that Mr. Franzese utilizes his former life to deliver life lessons, while also not glamorizing what he used to do is stand up. Keep it going!

Thank you for the words of wisdom your definitely a man of integrity and much deserving of respect
Mr. Franzese, that was one of the most powerfull stories I've heard from you yet! I think the best quality of a person is taking responsibility for their actions. To be accountable for the things you do both good and bad! You have this quality. It's the quality of an honest person! We can not change the past but we can change who we are. Your ability to recognize this is truly a blessing. I too along with you hope you have a few more years. Thank you sir.

One may be an atheist when it’s alright in their life, don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing bad about being an atheist. But when one’s life is falling apart faith helps a lot to manage with the odds. I do believe in god myself and I pray, that makes me fight back the life and motivates me like nothing else, but I dislike the preaching extremist christians and I don’t attend church. Take care bro.
@Chris Turnbull I agree. It actually seems like he's starting to talk about the jesus shit more and more. I've actually stopped watching because of it. It's true that people "find god" during times of struggle because it helps them cope. They can't handle the fact that we're just a carbon based life form floating through space on a rock. I cringe when I hear people going on and on about god/jesus because I'm embarrassed for them.

@johnnnyoh you clearly have a distorted view of Islam, you are looking at the 1% of the people that give Islam a bad name and decided to make the 1% a majority. Torture is 1 of the biggest sins in Islam! We believe in Jesus and all the prophets before and Prophet Muhammad after him. How about you do some reading up on Islam before being mind washed by the media. Because if the main stream media is attacking something constantly, they want to hide the real truth of that something. In the end of the day, I love all my fellow Human-beings and don't form an opinion on them based on what I heard, I learn from experience. There are good and bad people, no matter of what faith. And if you actually see the true history of Islam and Prophet Muhammad, you would know that Prophet Muhammad did not force Islam on any person and allowed them to do whatever and live freely. Prophet Muhammad was illiterate, yet he reached more than 1 billion people so far because He really was given a Divine message from Our Creator. The knowledge in the Quran (609-632 a.d.) talks about scientific knowledge that we did not know until the 20th century. This message is the Quran and has never been distorted in any way. The majority of people in power in Muslim countries are the farthest thing from Muslims because they oppress REAL Muslims. The people in power have an agenda bigger than you would ever know, my friend. Knowledge is power.
fascinating story. We are approximately same age my father is in Saint John’s.I am a very strong Catholic . I believe what you say comes from your heart with so much love & respect for your father as I had for my father ✝️
I just started viewing you tube and found Michael's channel. I am fascinated with him and life stories. I have always been intrigued by stories of Cosa Nostra.
I've been watching your interviews and channel for a few weeks now. I've always been fascinated with the "mob" and "gang" life for as long as I can remember. Grew up on the south side of Chicago, got to see it live and in person, both the "mob" and "gang" lifestyles. Went to Catholic school with a lot of the kids in the neighborhood of those Folks. I stuck my toes in the water a few times but never really fully immersed myself. This vid really got to me, it helped me see the other side of it, the reality that awaits those that do in fact, immerse themselves in it. I've witnessed the bad side of it but, it never really "clicked" until this vid. Please keep doing what your doing. Thank you.
Your life story told by you needs to be on screen for all to see!!!! This story alone is so powerful and sad, deep. Brought a tear to my eye. The love of a son trying to save his family. This is powerful!!! Your life is a testimony that will lead others to god 💯🙏🏽👍🏽
Michael I have to tell you. This was a powerful testimony, and that what your doing when you speak. Your honestly giving your testimony. You have a gift , keep doing what you do. God bless
I enjoy listening to Michael Franzese, because it is a true redemption story. I haven't been to jail or anything, I live a simple life, but I do have regrets and these stories make me think that owning up to mistakes and improving is possible.
I hope you all noticed that when his dad asked him if he could kill someone just then the screen went white and another story started up. In that life in order to become a "Made Man" you have to kill if asked to and you won't become one unless you do kill someone. And in the 70's and 80's that life was violent. I have alot of respect for him to say what he's saying nowadays, but in that life that oath owns you. Every Made Man killed someone at one time. He won't say it because there's no limitions on murder. And what he's done since I think is great promoting Christian values by the way.
Listen it’s not like killing a civilian I mean I know it’s fucked up in every way just actually killing someone but with free will everybody that gets into that life knows the stakes and if you’re willing to except those stakes, you have to do certain things. It sounds twisted but it’s just like a soldier killing another soldier in war time this just happens to take place on the streets. Guys in the mafia never did drive-bys and killed innocent people to possibly get one or two everybody that was in that world you could possibly kill or get killed. Street war. That’s why it was called organized. And honestly the only difference between a lot of the white-collar criminals and these guys they’re doing the exact same thing but with the potential of violence because that gets peoples attention. If you’re not in the world you wouldn’t even know it existed you’re not gonna be killed by a mobster unless you’re in that life
@@KARKATELCESARENVIADODESA-pv4yd $. Plus his dad was very connected and needed his son to run his business while he was in prison. In that life if you're told to wack someone, you do it or you don't become a Made guy. Every Made Guy who Made it wacked someone when told to. That's the life. He did but won't say anything about it. If he did, then the law would go after him. He's not stupid.
Filipinos just like Italians have close family ties. We must remember that family is the basic unit of our society. The values of having a strong family relationship nowadays are gone. Sad but true
Yes, destroy the basic unit, and the family, group, society in which it is contained, suffers. You need look no further than the "B" family (I have to use B rather than the color because the TH-cam Bolshevik demokkkrats will censor it and remove your post) an 80% out of wedlock birthrate and father absenteeism has destroyed the group. And yes, I am "B" so I'll speak on it despite the TH-cam Bolsheviks censoring the truth.
That's an interesting remark, because this man became a mobster to please his dad! Family members don't always have your best interest in mind, they may even want to hurt you (jealousy etc). They can lead you down a very dark path. I'm speaking from experience, but the crime stats back it up. Most murders are committed by family members, same goes for sexual abuse. I wish it weren't so, but those are the facts.

Goes back to, "if you seek you shall find."
Once you open your mind whole heartedly, it will present itself to you.
The only requirement is a desire to *find.*
Michael said "God knows our hearts...

Simple question
What is God?
What are you actually referring to when you use the word God
@Easonitus it’s such a lazy excuse too, “oh they met gods plan”
Did the babies who were executed by Khmer Rouge by having their heads smashed into tree trunks meet gods plan too?
you prefer to believe in a god who just sits by and let’s this happen - or even worse, planned for it to happen, all the horrendous stuff in the world.
You prefer to believe in that malicious piece of shit rather than just accept that the world is a cold, lonely place and there is no magical nice boi in the sky to come and make it ok.
@Darryl Washington thank you brother 🙏
Because "if you seek you shall find, if you ask you shall receive."
Lastly, you don't have to believe in anything, I won't judge you if you choose not to believe nor want to, or try to... That is your decision, however one cannot simply look away and ignore it in every way and then say "see its not real." Looking for reasons God is "bad" or not real, will only make you not see it or be blind to it. That's why it makes no sense to deny it if you don't even try to see it yourself. "If you seek you shall find."
Iove you Michael. Great Man all the way around, kind, patient, generous, family man, loyal.

@@slybuster I don't think his dad sanctioned it as much as he acknowledged it
A Movie about Michael Franzese is in the making production to begin Next Year
@@righteousrt4337 would be better with a series on netflix, a movie is too short
Stay Hungry oh actually I believe it is TV Series, now you mention it my mistake he stated himself it at the start of The Good Fellas Part 2 Review can’t quite remember if he said it was Netflix Series but it’s definitely a series again my apologies for the mistake
You have the God given gift of coming across as extremely authentic
I believe he is 100 percent truthful, with the whole catholic thing. I believe it all.
As a person who has struggled with faith for almost two decades, it's refreshing to see somebody who is relatable and also has complete faith. Always good content Michael and I appreciate you speaking on your faith.
Just started listening to him and let me say that was the best intro of all time!!
Im Muslim and I love all my Christian Brothers and Sisters out there!
That’s good I really appreciate you! tbh I’m not a fan of Islam cause many are piece of work that want to see us tortured like the Ottoman Empire did with my ppl for 400+ years so I appreciate it brother you are always welcome to join the Jesus crew lol but real talk I hope you’re against what Turkey scum bag president did and turned the orthodox Vatican into a mosque that’s horrible it’s its like turning Mecca into a Christian playground it’s flat out wrong, God bless !
Appreciate what you’re doing for the community, salute
fascinating story. We are approximately same age my father is in Saint John’s.I am a very strong Catholic . I believe what you say comes from your heart with so much love & respect for your father as I had for my father ✝️
There is no question you are a redeemed man. Thank you for your channel. I've been binge watching for about 1 week now. Great content.
God bless
Love when you tell story, they have so much detail!
“You gotta live your commitment” that really stuck out. thank you
The Lord's redemption can reach all sinners even me. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit brother.
I enjoy listening to Michael Franzese, because it is a true redemption story. I haven't been to jail or anything, I live a simple life, but I do have regrets and these stories make me think that owning up to mistakes and improving is possible.
Your a True inspiration!! I love these stories, I learn so much from hearing stories like this!! Love it!!
I get it, but how did he become made right away?
@@KARKATELCESARENVIADODESA-pv4yd his father was the boss! even from jail!

I just thought it was like Goodfellas where Tommy got made after a long time of proving yourself or smshit
Filipinos just like Italians have close family ties. We must remember that family is the basic unit of our society. The values of having a strong family relationship nowadays are gone. Sad but true
@Uplo Der You racist?
My other half is a Filipina and I can definitely attest to that
Yes, destroy the basic unit, and the family, group, society in which it is contained, suffers.
@George Thomas One cannot fix what one refuses to acknowledge. And when left to metastasize, it devours and destroys its target.
The people who want to talk Christ but don’t walk the walk is nobody and the world is full of them thanks Michael you are the real deal we need more people like you
I love that there's a message in every story.
This guy is a real tough guy...the life he led and where he is now is truly an inspiration.
I like that part when Michael said, "We cannot change what we did in the past but we change our future."
Was bit skeptical bout your intentions initially. You talking bout sincerity of the heart, true repentance 100 legit. Awesome testimony, witness. Colossians tells us all things hold together in Christ. All things. May the Lord continue to sustain and strengthen you. Amen brother ❤
Never looked forward to Monday so much 🤣
Michael Franzese I appreciate you 🙏🙏
I got respect for this guy. He’s been very inspiring of how he turned his life around.
Michael, despite the language barrier, I couldn't appreciate more what you're doing, starting with super high-quality entartaining content to all the life lessons, words of encouragement, especially in those uncertain times, your always calm and calming tone really helps keeping everything together. Obviously, you won't recognize me, but I even attented some of your public speeches, years before this destructious pandemic. And was really grateful for being able to see you once again on youtube after so many years. Sure as heaven and our Lord's name, will continue on following the action, probably mostly lowkey as I'm not always able to come up with nice message)
Your channel now is only thing keeping me good company, so...
Best possible wishes to you and your great family, Michael, you've really achieved a lot. Keep it coming!
Your story is your gift that serves the Lord. You don't have to shout Jesus saves from a mountain, you tell your story and allow space for God to show up to people in ways that are meaningful for them in their season. I love how you live exactly this. It is a rare and beautiful ministry. Bless you brother. Cheers from Australia.
I knew a person who was shot point blank at traffic light. That is real and its nothing compared to what we see in the movies. That life is nothing to be proud of.
You are life changing Mike. Appreciate you so much. God bless you.
I liked when he said he could flip the switch mob style..... just like mike tyson showing lil flashes of his former self
Scripture tells us that God will take us from this life in order to Save us (again) from losing our Salvation and I believe I witnessed this more than once in my life.
I would Love to see a movie about your whole life, including the change that you made! you can really feel the positive energy you want to provide, keep it up!
Love these stories. My grandmother told me about the protest when she lived in Brooklyn
The colombo family sold Michael's dad and didnt do nothing to help him..
In fact artie was killed for trying to stand up for sonny..
There's no honour
Carlo Gambino would bring him out.
@@chnarsaidgull7344 well until 50yrs there's no proof of it..
Even Michael himself never mention about it in his videos
I don't understand, why?
Probaly some kind of power play tbh looks at how they went too war the Columbos destroyed there self with infighting for 20 years from the 70s into the early nineties there where bodies turning up all over the place
What a testament to Christ. Such a class act. God bless you and your family Michael.
The only channel I’ve ever had notifications set for!
