He is such a great story teller. His voice and the delivery is very calm, sincere and convincing. I mean, this is definitely someone that I'll spend my time listening to whatever he wants to say. I wonder if he's like this in his younger age.
Mr. Franzese, I have never heard any of your stories that were boring or unbelievable, thank you for all the facts that you share, it's such a pleasure to listen to someone who can be trusted. God Bless you and all your family.
What you said about Terminal Island is true Back I’m the mid to late 70’s I drove a semi for a local building materials company in Torrance and had a couple of loads of block to deliver there at the facility. Once I got inside, and after a very thorough inspection of the tractor, trailer, fork lift, pallets of blocks, and correct paperwork, I saw the view overlooking the Coast Guard officer quarters of manicured lawns, whitewashed bungalows and the beautiful Pacific Ocean I thought what a.nice place to do time. WHAT DID I KNOW, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I was spared that experience by a loving, gracious, merciful and forgiving God. I thoroughly enjoy your series and may God continue to bless you and your family.
I was born in the 50’s and watched the mafia’s glory years through the 60’s and 70’s, into the mid 80’s. They were the guys you loved to hate, or, hated to love. What a piece of American history! Peace
I can't imagine 29months in solitary, I did 15 days and I was going nuts, with no phone, books etc even the screws wouldn't talk to me when they brought "food"!!!
Looking forward to seeing your collab with Larry Lawton, another ex-con who is a prison reform advocate and does similar work to you. Love watching both your channels, can sit and listen to you both for hours. So inspirational. Must be a New York thing.
I've been in several "jails" in my life (until I was about 19) and I have to say, there must be a big, scary, difference from jail to prison. Fascinating stuff. I grew up in the 80s, a decade after they started moving money through Ct. There were a LOT of people who were involved in moving money to RI. Almost got me, but never got past "jail". I was lectured by someone in '86 that said exactly what you say in this video. Brought me back in line. Thanks for what you do.
This guy is on point, I worked Corrections for a LONG time and he's right on the money about it, thank you Michael for this! All inmates are not bad guys at all, some of which you'd wanna kick-it with'em because they're just good guys and one more thing; quit thinking prisons are full of dumb people or un-talented individuals, some of the most brilliant freak'n people are in prison and it's sad as hell. The last thing i'll say is I hated working with those jack-ass co-workers/officers who were blatantly messing with inmates for EVERY PETTY issue, on that "gun and badge power trip". etc. Yes they exist and no decent officer wants to work with a fool. Again, thank you for this and other really good videos.
I worked as a boiler operator/maintenance worker for state prison NCDOC and I had always one inmate with me and sometimes as many as 5. You said not all guys are bad and I found that to be totally true. I always thought I would hang out drink beers and they were just like my friends that except they made bad choices. I do want to say the first day I had to go to nurse for a physical. I walked through those barbed wire gates with gun towers and sat in the lobby waiting. I just looked at those gates. It was my first time and I thought this ain't no place I wanna be. It was the best job I ever had. My maintenance crew, inmates, were all solid guys who just did there time. My crew actually worked overtime since they didn't have anything else to do and back then they worked time off there sentences. I could keep going but I would say one last thing. You talked about rehabilitation. I didn't see much of that at my prison and it's sad because they should teach them something and then wonder why they keep coming back.
I am almost the same age as Michael and used to be in law enforcement at county and federal level years ago, but like many of my generation, I did my own share of "outlaw stupidity" at various points of my life (mostly early on) and have also known and had to deal with some very Hard-Core Bad Guys along the way. That said, I have watched a number of Michael's programs recently, and various others by or about him and other Wise guys, and I just have to say I come away with more genuine respect and appreciation for the guy every single time. He never glamorizes or sensationalizes "the life" but tells whatever he wishes to impart in an honest, humble and articulate manner. I don't quite share his solid Christian faith, but do sincerely subscribe to most of the basic tenets, and I genuinely admire not only how he HAS turned his own life around but how he has dedicated himself to reaching out to others to inspire - or at least warn - them to do the same. Bravo, Brother. Keep on Keepin the Faith!
I like your idea of rehabilitation. I've seen a video about a prison in Norway which is labeled the best prison in the world. Not only is the prison an equivalent of a 3-star hotel but they also try their best to rehabilitate the convicted. They give them the freedom to make their own food in a shared kitchen, to socialize in a common room, and to learn some skills like carpentry to make it easier for them to rejoin society and find a job.
The very end of your video, what you said there is exactly why I wanted to see you and Larry Lawton do a video collab. Can’t wait to see it!!! He’s a bit more rough around the edges but he tells it like it is just like you do. Your fans are gonna break the internet when that video comes out lol there’s a lot of us that can’t wait to see y’all talk.
I have to say thank you for what you're doing! Means a lot to a whole bunch of people. Because you're taking all the negative and turning it around into a positive instead of just bombarding people with negative negative negative
When i was 15 i did some dumb stuff at school, vandalized some stuff. They made it into a felony (criminal damage to government property), i was immediately sent to a prison downtown Chicago where i ended up spending the next 4 days. Most out of place i had felt, i was some suburbanite vandal amongst young gang affiliates with robbery charges and gun charges, i didn't even live close to the city. None the less it was an experience that while it did suck i was glad to have had it being i got to see life from a whole new perspective talking to those guys, and learning how bunk the justice system actually is.
I was arrested for some stupid shit and my night in a jail cell alone with nothing was the worst night of my life. Having your freedom taken away is truly scary.
The Honeymooners is one of the best sitcoms ever! I just saw the one where some gangsters leave a bag of phony money on his bus and Ralph starts spending it like a mad man thinking he’s a millionaire 😂

I was Locked 🔒 up as a Teenager in a Juvenile Maximum Security Institute in Ohio at the age of 15. I came from a good two parent middle class home but I realized that a Vast Majority of inmates locked up with me didn't have two parents growing up. I Believe Children need a Mom & Dad at home to have a Good foundation to start their lives. If you're reading this & have a child who is giving you problems be active in their lives & hold them accountable for their actions. Listen to them & find activities they enjoy. Trouble teens don't realize that they have a long life ahead of them & think short term. Once a troubled teen gets into the Adult system it's hard to reverse their course in life. Kids need unconditional love but also need structure & accountability

Michael Franzese merch???? YES PLEASE
How to get the Re-made necklace ??
I just found this channel and he makes me so hopeful that all the rotten things I've done can be left behind. I have the love and respect of my family nowadays but the past is hard to let go.
Hold onto this fact, it’s never too late to be saved.. to be forgiven, stay on the path and stay true and you’ll be okay🙂
He has a unique perspective, very level headed. I'm an admirer.
Never cease to amaze me, the change and message of a god touch person.
Its always the same "Peace"
29 months and 7 days in solitary can Crack a person up. Like Michael said, "we are social creatures and not made to be away from other people"
I'd prefer it
No matter what Mr. Franzese was back in the day, and is today, there is no question that he is a fantastic relator of stories and a first rate narrator.
Michael , god bless you man, you done wrong , you changed , your spending your life trying to help others , for that imo you are a true hero and inspiration
I unfortunately spent 10 years in solitary confinement (6 which was in the ADX super max), but I am home doing so much good in the community now.
Almighty!!😫
This guys voice is like the Morgan Freeman of Italians
OMG yes!!!
Italians??? He can't even pronounce his surname ffs. He's no Italian.

Michael has that awesome way of telling his stories. With a little research, info avaliable online, you can see that these stories and references are truth. He is very disciplined and honorable. Seems to be a great guy. I watch him alot. Thanks Michael!
My brother has been jail since was 17 he is 29 .he has never had a positive MALE role model in his life. .never knew his dad .ect .I wish he could have a Michael in his life .but he has been locked up since such a young age its probably to late but I'll never give up on him .
Fack Michael . Respekt to you att du never give Up yuor brother.
It's a wrap unless he builds his own business hes just where America wants him to be
Michael is nothing but a dirt bag who was smart enough to use god as his money maker now.
@@robbyrobinson4500 ok wise guy, oh wait. 🤣
Hey man, your brother has one person not giving up on him. A brother no less. Thats no small thing
"You wanna do this (diesel time) or you wanna go home?" Good one!
Hell yeah, Michael. Prison Reform. I respect you even more now.
In prison.. you use a razor blade to slice the garlic really thin. That way.. it disappears in the sauce.
Hahahahahhaha nice Goodfellas reference
Don't put too many onions
lol
I didn't put too many onions
it's a really good system
Would love to hear your stories with the Russian, Chinese mafia etc
What you said about Terminal Island is true
Back I’m the mid to late 70’s I drove a semi for a local building materials company in Torrance and had a couple of loads of block to deliver there at the facility.
What did you do all day?
Regardless of how bad my day was, listening to Mr Michael speak, puts a smile on my face🙏🙏thank you Sir
Looking forward to seeing your collab with Larry Lawton, another ex-con who is a prison reform advocate and does similar work to you. Love watching both your channels, can sit and listen to you both for hours. So inspirational. Must be a New York thing.
Steven McCallum prison reform advocate = don’t send me to jail
They did collab!
oh it's a Jersey thing...
Alot of people do not know the difference between jail and prison. Both are places to advoid.
BEST quote I ever heard about prison. " doing the time is the easy part, they make you "
Been waiting all day for mob movie/story Monday, love thus channel
Michael, you are much more than made/re-made person! Much admiration and respect on what you are and do now!!! Tons! Thank you...
I drive by a local prision. I see the tall fences , the razer wire, and the locked doors. That life has nothing but sadness, and a wasted life.
Norway doesn't have organized crime. Yet. Due to the new age view on migration laws, things are starting to change since "where to invade next"...
I've heard of that prison. Its basically like an apartment that you serve time in.
Michael, your stories are sensational! Whoever plays you in a movie better bring everything they have into the performance! Amazing life!
I done about 7 years inside for drug dealing and money laundering the thing is it’s just about impossible to change your life around
The UK we called being moved " been Shanghaied"...some of those screws loved it.
"Remade"
I love it, man.
You have incredible strength of mind and charecter to do 29months and 7days In solitary
Mr Franzese, You need a TV show---Sir I could listen to you speak allll day---Stay Safe
Love the music on opening and ending of each program, its priceless and fits perfectly.
It's a shame my generation isn't like you mike.
Mr. Franzese, Words Don't Come Close, You Are such An Inspiration
I was arrested for some stupid shit and my night in a jail cell alone with nothing was the worst night of my life. Having your freedom taken away is truly scary.
I started crying of laughter when he talked about the girls on the boats that passed by terminal island HAHAHAHAHA
@Slick Rock A tarp on the fence, really? Booo! BOOO!!!! Lame
When he said the guards enjoyed it I lost it
The Honeymooners is one of the best sitcoms ever! I just saw the one where some gangsters leave a bag of phony money on his bus and Ralph starts spending it like a mad man thinking he’s a millionaire 😂
I love listening to his stories! So happy he made it out and lives to tell about it!
Your speaking ability and over all charisma, have me hooked on every line. Your stories are simply fascinating, it's easy to see how you were successful as a made guy, and have found success afterwards.
Fair play to you Michael 00:01 - 02:28 advising people to stay away from prison. 💯
I work on the docks of Terminal island. Right across from the prison. I always wondered what went on in there. Thanks for the stories Michael.
