Yeah I have a feeling he killed a couple times when it really had to be done. You can tell he isn't proud of it. Let me tell ya sometin' at the end of the day It's the life I signed up for.
My father was an Australian volunteer in Bomber Command flying missions over Germany.. When I was quite young I would ask him how many people he had killed, & he would always deflect the question.. When I was older I found out he still had nightmares of cities on fire & planes going down in flames.. My questions changed to get his stories of ladies he’d met at dances in the Savoy, & adventures he’d had with his buddies on leave.. It’s a matter of respect, & a little understanding...
Amen. My grandfather is gone now, and I was too young to really appreciate his experiences. Never asked him about his time in the war (New Zealand Army, served in Italy and Africa I believe). I'm actually glad I never talked to him about it. He served, was wounded in the neck by a German sniper. Came home, lived a good life, was a good husband, raised a good family. I'm going to go down the road of finding out his service history so I can appreciate him more, but I'm like you - glad I didn't stir up all the trauma by asking him.
100% on the mark mate. My old man did a combat tour in Vietnam, and my sisters and I knew from a very young age not to ask him if he killed anyone. Even now, 50 years later, he still says “it’s just something I REALLY don’t want to think about. I’ve thought about it too much over the years, often not by choice......”
I have an older cousin who served in the marines in the early 2000s he’s told me some great stories part of me wanted to ask him if he ever had to pull the trigger and take a life..but it’s not my place to ask, some questions just shouldn’t be asked
He’s a man of faith and a sinner like all of us. He’s walked the walk and can back it up. A great person to talk to about overcoming the bad! I’m glad I found his channel!
1 - If Michael did kill anyone , he wouldn’t tell you 2- if he does still have gas money , he wouldn’t tell you I mean why would he admit to it , nobody would , I know sure as hell I wouldn’t . If your smart enough I feel like you can read between the lines on what he is saying , especially with the murder question. The answer is pretty clear
If he's a good Christian man as he claims, shouldn't he admit to this then? He's clearly playing games but that seems to go against his claimed moral system. Also, if he has money stashed away it would be in foreign accounts and he would need some means to launder that money to evade detection.
@@BurningBridgesForever Technically not lying and trying to maximize your profits and stay out of jail is what a mob guy and business guy does, not a Christian. Strictly speaking a Christian shouldn't care about money, only Christ. And the Christian would fess up to all their crimes and be okay spending the rest of their life behind bars. What I'm saying is that he never stopped being a hustler, he's always trying to make cash and have a big house. He just changed his hustle.
@@harizotoh7 If he ever admitted to the question about murder a yes...then he would be subject to prosecution. There is no statute of limitations for murder.....so no pun intended here....but best to let sleeping dogs lie.
"Thats all I can tell you" is taking the 5th without taking the 5th. Why would anybody admit to killing someone when there is no statute of limitations on murder. Jesus the man wasn't born last night.
It's also good for his TH-cam brand to keep that ambiguous -- even if he didn't kill anyone, he knows a lot of his fans are into the idea that maybe he did.
Anyone who follows the life knows well enough that you don't become a made man without a contract. Not one member, former or active has ever said or implied otherwise. It's part of the whole deal to become a made man. If you're a made man then there is certainly a hit under your belt.

That's what I'm saying, forget about jimmy Hoffa. I want to know when michael stumbled upon the fountain of youth 😂 I'm only in my early 20s but if age aswell as this guy that would be great. I've taken something away that I can apply to my own life in just about all of his videos. Mad respect for him, he did what he did but he turned his life around
"Did you ever kill anyone?" Every soldier, sailor, Marine, or cop hates that friggen question because it's nobody's business! It's a very personal thing and even in war, it's not politics, it's not this or that...in the end, it's taking someone who has a mother, father, maybe even kids - it's personal. Let's just put it out there, it's a very disrespectful thing to ask, it really is. Most people get that, but some don't. As Mr. Franzese said...you figure it out, and in his, if you couldn't figure it out even before this latest video, come on. If nothing else is garnered from this video, please stop asking vets or cops that question...it's really no ones business.
I always feel good that I never asked my grandfather who was a WW2 veteran about anybody he killed because I have so much respect for him to not ask that question!!!😔🙏🏼
I mean...it CAN be disrespectful. It can depend on the context as well. I am a veteran and have been asked twice. Once by a drunk dude and once by a friend of my daughter who really didnt know any better. But you are right as well.
Dear Michael, I am writing with a request. I haven't heard you talk quite so much about the Colombo Wars ('71 and '91). Perhaps the 1991 blowup took place when you were incarcerated, but I would really like to hear your insight into not one, but two of the most violent mob wars in New York. They both took place in your former Family, involved your former Boss along with numerous cohorts, and were events that practically bookended your era in the mob. I'd like to know more about Joe Gallo, and about Junior Persico. Also about those involved in the '91 war- Vic Orena, Greg Scarpa, Wild Bill Cutolo, and perhaps others who took part in this war. Perhaps underlying factors that led into it, just whatever insights you can offer. I do feel like this can offer a powerful lesson in exactly how badly that life could spiral into a nightmare for those involved, and their families. More important than my request, I want to thank you. I've been following your story since you first started making the podcast rounds in the last few years. I try to watch every new upload on your channel when I can, and I really appreciate the take on history along with the powerful message that you bring behind these stories.
There's no statute of limitations on murder and kidnapping, so I don't blame him for keeping quiet that. Legally he would at least be an accessory to murder simply in his role as Capo.
I just joined this channel and subscribed like a few weeks ago. Id just want to say thanks for being positive and being honest. I at least appreciate the transparency and sincerity. Thanks for the stories!
Witholding his not honest. Compartmentalizing, and comparing government, sanctioned war to street killing for profit. Hmmm...no. greed is not the same as a kid defending his country, for freedom, family and way of life is not the same as, stealing, drugs and raquetering, and murder.
You're so right about veterans, Michael. My Dad was in an Army tank for 4 years in Europe during WWII. He never wanted to talk about it. May he rest in peace. 🙏🙏🙏 And for sure you are very blessed. I believe you are doing God's Divine Will, no question about it.👍👏🥰
I can listen to mike tell his stories all day and night. My grandfather and great grandfather had ties or in the mob way before I was born. Being 40 now I miss stories my father told me as a kid about certain things or how loyal my great grandfather was. Wish I got to have met him back then and to think of hearing stories I could only imagine.
Robert Kennedy Jr. Has come out Stating the CIA killed* his uncle as well as his father and has pretty good documentation to back it up. He was recently on Tysons podcast and openly discussed alot of very interesting issues. (*Edit: had involvement )
No one especially combat vets wants to remember what they did in their past. Its something you would rather just forget. Its also very disrespectful to ask " did you ever kill anyone" and its none anyone else's business what you did.

Henry hill said he never did even though I never believed that. However the way micheal describes him maybe its possible cause he seemed to not be respected like that
I think it's a useless question rather than a stupid question. He took the oath once he proved himself "worthy", He had to do whatever they told him to do and then he became a capo of his mob family and he would tell his associates what to do. During all this, in 20+ yrs, do you think killing or ordering to kill someone has never been needed? C'mon we can use our imagination. And number 2, he's gonna simply answer "yes" and confess a crime that could send him back to jail or start a fresh new federal investigation? Because of that it's a useless question. Feds had what they wanted, they convicted him for something and they're happy with it, remember, they're no different than the mob.
@@MetalHead1701 I do't know, his dad was pretty high up and had influence and maybe didn't have to do anything that brutal to make his bones. But he seems like he was always a Brain not a Brawn. He was in med school before joining the mob and his scam was making the mob maybe BILLIONS. Reminds me of that line in GoodFellas where Karen and Henry are at their wedding and she's being introduced to all the family members from all the various hundreds of people there and she's like "Most of them were named Peter or Paul"
People always think of killing as "pulling a trigger". There's lots of different ways to kill someone that doesn't involve violence. Abandonment, not feeding, providing drugs, political polices, etc. In that aspect, lots of people on earth have killed others. I'm a firefighter. I've seen a lot of people killed not just buy a knife or a gun. Another great video. Stay safe Micheal and your production crew.

Thanks for everything you do and thank you for having this channel I truly appreciate it. Thank you very much and take care and stay safe and healthy.
I've realised by reading stories like your's and others is that the only respect that matters is the respect that your friends and family have for you. It's everyone's fantasy to have the kind of the respect you did, to know that nobody would mess with you, walk into venues and get the best tables. The reality is that their respect doesn't really matter much because they don't respect you for who you are but for who they think you are.

Yeah I have a feeling he killed a couple times when it really had to be done. You can tell he isn't proud of it. Let me tell ya sometin' at the end of the day It's the life I signed up for.
I truly love listening to this man...he is a prime example of “the good, the bad, and the ugly.”
The good The Bad and The Handsome
@Big Smoke heh yeah, that’s a given.

2- if he does still have gas money , he wouldn’t tell you

If your smart enough I feel like you can read between the lines on what he is saying , especially with the murder question. The answer is pretty clear
Your Right on the Money .. All Italian and Mexican Mafias are Blood in Blood out ,something you Drop out is a different story..
Bingo
@@harizotoh7
If he ever admitted to the question about murder a yes...then he would be subject to prosecution.

I am rewatching this and I always like Michael's response to a question which is basically "Hey Mr. Franzese, would you like to admit to some crimes that don't have a statute of limitations?"
Honestly thought he was going to say his son is 25. Michael looks like he’s in his late 40s early fifties.
That's what I'm saying, forget about jimmy Hoffa. I want to know when michael stumbled upon the fountain of youth 😂 I'm only in my early 20s but if age aswell as this guy that would be great.
Just an observation, I think stepping away from crime probably did a lot of good for his health. I've seen pictures of Michael from back in the day and he looks younger now. Fair play to him. I've taken something away that I can apply to my own life in just about all of his videos. Mad respect for him, he did what he did but he turned his life around

“I was a made guy, you figure it out.” Such a boss thing to say without saying much.
Don’t ask anybody who has seen death like that about death. Only going to bring them pain and yourself more questions then answers
I mean...it CAN be disrespectful. It can depend on the context as well. I am a veteran and have been asked twice. Once by a drunk dude and once by a friend of my daughter who really didnt know any better. But you are right as well.
Michael F. What a man! Highest RESPECT to you Sir!
I survived the Colombo wars by the skin of my nuts.
The charisma of this guy....helped me through many a sleepless night ....just love listening to him
Let's recap: Hoffa - fish food. Buried money - lost most of it, probably. Killed dudes - yes, but let's drop it. Feared guys - boss only.
There's no statute of limitations on murder and kidnapping, so I don't blame him for keeping quiet that. Legally he would at least be an accessory to murder simply in his role as Capo.
