As always - so great to see you! I agree 100% that the people is what makes these things a worthwhile experience. Great job capturing the spirit of the event!
I flew in to SF just to attend. What a great vibe! Spotted me at the 7:11 mark sporting the gold hoodie. Some of the most amazing watches showed up at informal meet and greets out on the WindUp patio (over beers!) and at private evening events where a few timepieces did find new homes. Went home with a Junghuns Meister Driver Handaufzug and a deep appreciation for my fellow enthusiasts.
Wow, forget W&W, this is the place to be for the down to earth watch entusiast, really nice (and quality) watches, no pose, no nonsense and no scarcity. Thanks a lot for the tour., greetings from MX.
Awesome, fresh and very lively, great to see you get out there and enjoy yourself. I live on the other side of the world, we are the forgotten land when it comes to events like this..I am envious😔😊
I really enjoy the format and humor of your videos. I hope you are able to cover the refresh of the Christopher Ward Trident C60 expected in a few weeks.
It was such a personal treat to take a paid day off from work to go to the Wind-Up on Sat. The watches, the people, the energy and enthusiasm at the event was ALL GOOD. Look forward to next one in 2023!
You got your hands on just two of the pieces I've been really interested in lately: the Brew Metric Retro dial and the Farer World Timer, and I want them in just the colors you showed. On the other hand: I thought Random Rob was skinnier XD
Wished I could have gone. I live less than an hour away but.. such is life. Years ago I went to the Watchtime event in SF and was given an AP Jules Audemar for the night. Was pretty fun. Next year, for sure.
I was in the bathroom at the Windup Watch Fair, when suddenly a guy burst into the stall next to me and all but crapped his pants. The stench was ungodly. Was it you?
That's so funny. This morning I was thinking of asking what your signature watch would be, that kind of typifies your channel. I guessed it might be the Ploprof. And I had Random Rob's as a G-Shock square. Tim Mosso with the Sinn. Still not sure what Bruce Williams is. Possibly high end Seiko. Nice video. Great to see interesting independent brands being showcased.
I must have an old watch soul as I really like those cushion-shaped watches, eg. that Duckworth 7:40 caught my eye. (similar to Fears Brunswick). Cannot afford Vacheron Constantin 1921 American (yet? :D)
Can Christopher Ward decide what they want to put on the dial? I am seriously turned off by these switches. It makes the whole brand feel transient, just like their dial printing.
@@YoureTerrific hi budddy! I have a big confusion. I really like the omegs moonwatch but i don't like it's simple white hands. I prefer the hands of the speedmaster 57. Which watch should i buy? Speedmaster60th anniversary is the perfect one for me. But it's too expensive. My wrist size is 6.7 inches. Thanks!
Love your channel! I have been to the first or second Worn & Wound event in SF when they were near Union Square. Watch Time magazine used to hold an event called "INSIDE BASEL GENEVA". The last one I attended was 2013. It was sponsored by BMW & was held at the Ritz Carlton SF. Super great event. If they still have them check it out. As a Native San Franciscan I would recommend it.
Looks like you've got a lot of cool and original microbrands in the US. Here in Poland, we have a few but they often just cram together chinese components with repetitive designs and questionable QC. Also, atmosphere of this event seemed very laid-back compared to watches and wonders.
100% the people and the energy was the highlight of the event. Looking forward to Chicago, and who knows…..New York?
Thanks again for playing, Rob. So great to meet you.
Wow so that’s what Random Rob looks like. Love these real life vlog style videos!
Was so great to meet him.
Great video. Thanks for showing a number of reasonably priced, available watches. Quite different from the news feed out of Switzerland last month.
Oh, I hear that.
You most certainly are terrific Sir, nice to meet you and get a few waves in passing ;)
Likewise!

Thanks for gracing the screen with your mustache.
@@YoureTerrific Sharing is caring. Especially when it comes to mustaches.
" Zodiac is killing it right now! " That is something no one in San Francisco really wants to hear.
Haha, a bunch of tourists like us would never have thought of that.
Underrated comment right here
I love what Monta is doing! Very excited for the NYC fair, last year's event was great.
I'm jealous! Have a great time.
When is the NYC fair and you know what it’s called? Very interested in going !
Similar to another, when is the fair and what’s it called? Would love to go
That Everest VC is stunning. It's the perfect one watch collection watch.. Saw a couple on Chrono24 for sale, people area asking 120-150k for them!
Great overview, the Aquitane looks cool...

Zach’s VC! Congratulations to him. Sad to miss this local event.
That Farer watch with the White & red print is by far my favorite.

So good to see the watch world coming alive again

This was awesome seeing the faces of podcaster's I listen to and Random Rob!! Soooo cool
👍
Great that you’ve visited Farer. What are your thoughts on the light blue Cobb monopusher?
This video never showed up in my feed. I only knew about it from your IG.
The Aquitaine GMT is probably going to be my first and only luxury purchase. Love the engineering and design, how practical it is
Dude wearing that PLOPROF is a huge power move… what a statement 😮
Cool! Looking forward to your in-depth stuff from Windup!

0:29 I got really excited when I saw the Minase poster. Did you have time to check them out at all?
That's a no. Bummer
Very cool... I see its going to be in my backyard in July (Chicago)
Did you find your next blue sports watch to replace the ‘soon to be sold’ SuperOcean?
I'll be in Chicago, looking forward to it.

Thanks for taking us there. Pleasure to be along for the ride. Cheers!
The pleasure was all mine. But I guess you can have some too.
This video made me particularly excited to attend the show coming up in Chicago in a few months. Thanks again.
You're going to love it.
Watches AND some short interviews - nice! Well done 👏
Thanks. Was a lot of fun to make.
Great to see these, many thanks
👍
Great video, Ethan, thank you. That cream dial anOrdain... wow. Oh. Surprise: waiting list 🤪
Zach is wearing my grail watch. If I had it, it would be the only watch I wear as well, though the brown strap on it is an odd choice.
Thanks so much! I’m sorry I missed you there. It was both wonderful and overwhelming.
So true.
Great video!
Out of curiosity did you know many of the people in the video prior to heading our there or did you meet them there?
I'd met 3/4.
I was in the bathroom at the Windup Watch Fair, when suddenly a guy burst into the stall next to me and all but crapped his pants. The stench was ungodly. Was it you?
Some very cool brands there. Thanks for sharing.
Chuckled at the last clip because it's so relatable, sometimes you just cannot remember stuff! xD

Tim auctioned it for charity recently.

“Nope.”
Great video as always. Best summation of any Windup even I’ve seen to date.
I chuckle at the outtakes every time.

THAT'S RANDOM ROB???
Great video man....look forward to more from you 👍
Agree being out there and meeting human beings similarly into watches is the acme of the event. Seeing the 41 mm Formex Leggera wasn’t bad either.
That's a cool piece.
Looks like it was a fantastic event. We miss out on these things down here in Oz
Really enjoyed "Evan At Large" Would love to make to the next one in New York and meet some other freaks . Fingers crossed.
Make it so.
Very cool. But that Overseas Everest Edition...Damn!
I know, I know. Ridiculous.
So much to see, so little time, great video
Thanks
Very interesting watches! :) what are your Thoughts on the Sinn 556i ? :)
I love it. I owned it for a while.
@@YoureTerrific Thank you! Only hear positive Things about it :)
Aww man wish I came on Saturday. Ended up going Sunday and it was pretty quiet which was great to get a lot of time with the brands.
That would have been nice. It was hard to see some things, there were so many people.
Did you mention your wrist size?
I only wish I knew what it is.
Great video, thank you! God, that anOrdain is so beautiful. I wish they didn’t have the 2 year waitlist! 😭

I hope you get to cross it off one day.
MINASE watches looks really nice. Did you see them live?
I didn’t! They were too busy for me to get in.
KAT SHOULDERS!
KAT!

3 seconds in and I have to comment. Sick Ploprof!!
Fun video!
Fun day.

Hey, I’m definitely not a bot. Also those Anordain watches…whoa…enamel.
Exactly what an advanced bot would say.
Isn't it Norquain?
No “u” in Norqain
Shoutout to Monta!
Never comment on stuff but love what you do, keep up the good work mate and you never said what you were wearing!?

no AnOrdain?
I showed them toward the end.

Why did you keep picking up chronos??? Put the chronographs down.
That CW logo on the dial is unfortunately the one aspect that stops me from considering that brand. Wish it didn't, but it does.
I also think the sea ranger from AB is a nice looking watch.
So...that's what Random Rob looks like....and WTF?? That white dial Monta GMT looks great....and it's not available!
Even small brands have waitlists.
aww man wish we could have met!
More purple watches!
Yes
Sheesh. I had no idea that GMT Monta existed and it’s already gone. HRNNGH.
