I saw the Fortis Vagabond in person at their HQ in Switzerland. I have rarely been so blown away by a watch. It's one of the most beautiful pieces I've seen in years.
I'm more of a field watch guy, so the Farer really stood out as my favorite of the group. More importantly, I have to go to Wind Up next year. It looks to be a watch nerd's playground, and I love that they have so much to choose from price wise. I'm gonna save some money for the train ride, hotel, and set aside some cash to buy a watch or two while I'm there.

I really like that Farer watch. That dial is a real homage to the patek 5226. At first I was excited because I thought that date hand was GMT complication which i thought was incredible. What is the movement?

As always a super interesting video, but did you take a look there to the Italian brand Amano+ watches? They presented their first collection of 3D printed stainless steel watches at Windup. I would like to have your opinion about them. 😊
You should check them, because I've never seen a watch 3d printed in stainless steel and made in Italy with that design. More the have a collaboration with an Italian old company that make all made in Italy movement all made in house, and with Amano+ the Just presente at WindUp NY the first all made in Italy of the history Automatic movement, it is amazing, the company is call OISA 1957. If you find more info about Amano+ please let me know, especially I would love to know an opinion about them, because I really tempted to buy one. 😊
Some close calls. Especially when thinking about the gulf in price points. I'd go with: Serica, Fears, Farer, and Fortis. But that Straum is beautiful. Thanks for some great content!
I gotta say, I was impressed by the Straum. Love seeing a microadjust on a butterfly clasp, that’s the dream, baby! I know literally nothing about Straum but now I’m going to give them a look!

My picks from the choices: Diver: Serica - this was a tough call as I've tried on the CW and it's brilliant. I can't wait to finally try a Serica on in Austin next month. Some really nice picks there! I’m impressed with the Micromilspec and Straum watches. Personally not a fan of the ETA 7001 movement-it’s really painful to wind.
I’d have to get hands on with them before deciding for sure, but I’m leaning towards the Microspec Milgraph and CW Lumiere as my top picks from the NY fair. My top pick at SF was the William Wood Dunkirk watch.
Have always admired the looks of the Serica diver and wins my vote. I didn’t love the dress watches, but the Fears does have a great looking dial and case shape. The Farer dial rocks and is a better looking field watch, not as busy as the other field watch. The Fortis has a 70’s vibe to my eye and that really appeals to me, excellent execution. This was a fun competition and would have enjoyed visiting that watch show.
Its the best watch fair ive been to. I really love the hands on nature and speaking dorectly with teh brands. AND the watches are accessable and affordable for the most part
Nahhhhh. I own the Pelegos 39. And the CW is much bigger on the wrist and with way more shouty design. This ias great for what it is. But I dont see it as a Pelegos Homage.
Got a datejust, but love my CW watches. I like to buy watches that I do not have buyers remorse. Also, one must factor in the servicing of one’s watches and my Datejust will cost me near $1000 to service. Watch collecting needs to make sense to be enjoyable
You are actually correct. In the fast pace of our video production I believe Andrew got it incorrect here. So its even better in my opinion being Titanium.
