@@_gremlinboy I think they meant actual cakes, but I have seen a soaper make a bunt cake out of soap, so I think that it would be possible.
The gold tiny beads actually look super similar to bee pollen! They are perfect
Another way to do that multicolor swirl frosting that might be easier for soap frosting, is to put each color in their own bag, put all those bags in another piping bag with the tip on it and you should end up with the same result. The method you did works well if there's a lot of colors

The fact my daughter and I have watched this twice since its release is proof she's had a tough week after finally getting diagnosed with autism after four years of fighting. RS and the Duchess are the go to vids when the world is too loud. She loved the mermaid ones and wants similar (but edible) for her birthday soon. Thank you Katie for being a raynof sunshine when the world is too gloomy for this dad and his six year old.

I love love ALL your soap videos, I have been watching your channel since you were in your parents storage. I enjoy watching you make any of your soaps. The Colors, the Fragrance, the embedding, the glitter, the cutting and waiting to see what they look like in the cut. And I remember when you and your Mom used to open Soap packages that people would send you. Those Videos were so much fun. Just all of it was so ABSOLUTELY AWESOME to watch. I guess those days are just memories. Our Favorites were your CUPCAKES 🧁. As you can see, I did go back on memory lane to see those AWESOME Cupcake Soaps. I found your 12th liner - one of the green ones is double stacked! Noticed when you were unmoulding around the 17:20 mark haha
A tip to getting the frosting into the piping bag is to lay the roll of frosting onto a wooden spoon ( or a ruler or similar item ) and slide it in handle first and then remove spoon ..it just gets it in nicely without spilling out everywhere…such a time saver too 👍🇦🇺

Love your soaps and videos. I saw an asian soap making video where a lady used a bag and tip to lay a line of fluted soap frosting down the length of her mold, topped it in the center with a darker color line from a squeeze bottle, then laid another line of soap frosting right on top. This made the coolest flowers with dark centers in every bar. You could fill your bar with many flowers. Filling over them with background color may be tricky, she used a squeeze bottle and did it gently. She did a landscape in her bars with mountains and a sun and of course the piped flowers, but I think just the flowers would be awesome. I know you would do a great rendition of piped flowers. It could have a solid color above and below the flower layer.

a tip about the mermaid frosting, in baking, you often wrap each color separately in plastic wrap and put the 3 wraps in the bag so the colors dont mix untill coming out of the tip

Hey Katie, potential samples/scraps or maybe even mainline soap option: unicorn poops! Basically just leftover soap frosting, preferably in swirled colors, done as little circles when there's no soap cupcake to top. It's like a magical clean cow pie!

Put your piping bag in a big cup. Then drop your wrapped colors in the cling wrap in the cup. Makes it super easy
if you're gonna make me pick, I love the sound of that fall fragrance! Honey pumpkin sounds like the perfect soap scent to me, one that works in the bathroom OR kitchen.
Those blues should feature in a regular soap bar!
Today in biochem, saponification came up because we were talking about esters and alkaline solutions and such. When the teacher said it, I went "Hey, Katie talks about that!" and it was fun.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this. But, you could use the "dollar store" cupcake pans to put your silicone cupcake molds in and that way you can "whack" the cupcakes to get rid of bubbles and make the tops more smooth.
