I've finally bought one and installed it. Best system ever made, so easy to operate, easy to adjust time, light density, brightness, soft sunrise and sunset start, etc. No more bright light shock for my fish. It fits perfectly in my Aqua One - Lifestyle 190 tank with no modifications, except removing the original bar of LED lights. Mine is set at medium brightness, Pink 15, Blue 20, Cold white 30, Pure white 50 and Warm white 20. I find this combination to be not too bright for my tank size, perfect for plants and easy for my fish's eyes.. I wished the unit's lense were frosted so that the coloured LED lights would blend as one light and aren't noticeable in different colors. But that can be fixed by me. I can simply attach a frosted plastic attachment part found at the electrical and lighting stores. One is bound to fit. Highly recommended. Thanks Fluval. 🙂👍
So I've had my 46w 3.0 for about 7 months now and the plant growth is great. The fitting is well made and very reliable and looks slick installed on my tank. I did ( along with others) make some comments to fluval though regarding the app/ control side of the set up. It was quite limited and lacked a few basic items, as can be seen in other comments here. Well the good news is as of Friday 26/7/19 they have done a full app and firmware update which has completely covered all the things people wanted from the app. The auto mode has the addition of a sleep segment so now you can have evening viewing active and then complete switch off at night. It also now has pro mode which means you can achieve highs and lows during the day through the option of having up to 10 set points at any time required with full customisation of each set point with regard to colour settings. So all in all it now covers everything you could possibly need and really a great choice for aquascapers. It's nice that fluval listened and reacted with the update and big improvement.
I love the new lights and the app. There's two important improvements that I think are important. 1. Multiple light periods (easy fix) 2. Built in memory for power fail and or timer use.
Just ordered mine recently 48” from Corey Aquarium Co-op, I currently own a Aquasky 35 watts 48-60 which I love. But could not resist this version 😬...
I had some high hopes for this light when I heard “Fully Customizable”... but unfortunately it’s not as customizable as I had hoped, at least not yet. I see a lot of room for bettering the light within the FluvalSmart App. While the added bluetooth feature to control the light with the app is definitely awesome and better than buying that crappy $80 WiFi timer, it unfortunately lacks a lot of features that could make it great! My big dislike is it only allows you to ramp ALL of the colors at once, not individually. The dawn and dusk colors are way better and more realistic on the Finnex 24/7, and you can’t customize those colors with this light while it is ramping up or down. And there is no ramp down time for the blue “moon” light either. I am hoping this will be fixed within the FluvalSmart App in the future because I sold my Planted 2.0 to buy this light expecting to be able to do what I wanted. Come on Fluval! You are almost there!! 😁👍
It basically mimics a ramp timer like the Current US Ramp Timer Pro which you cant set the levels and ramp time form 1 to 30 minutes but with more flexibility.
@@fluval Rick T. Foster perfectly expressed my concerns regarding the limitations of this light. Have these already been addressed? Once we have the ability to fully control the timing of each light channel, then I will happily invest in this light. In the meantime, I wait with fingers crossed. ;)
@@fluval So it's been ten months, when do you intend to update the app? I can't imagine it takes ten months to tweak the app to incorporate the changes. I did notice the last app removed the TH-cam link. Great update. Or is it maybe Fluval's intention to wait until it introduces the 4.0 and then change the app but not make it backwards compatible?
It's a great light. I have two,but... It's lacking a few key things. 1. Continue after a power outage. Needs a cmos to maintain schedule after the power returns. 2. Mid day black out option. You can only do one night option. I've always had a siesta period on my low tech tanks to increase co2 levels mid day. 3. The ramp up and down are abrupt. Seems to turn on too bright and off too abruptly. I will say my plants love it! Good spectrum for plants. It's water proof! I've dropped it in the tank accidentally with no issues. It's slim and looks great on the tank, and the fluval optional mounting brackets are affordable and durable.
I have the aquasky and i just make the sun up and sun down period longer for a smoother experience. If the timmer is off because of power outage just turn you bluetooth on and connect to fixture. Its an instant fix.

@@idontknow19841 use your head before you comment and I won't have to point out how idiotic your comment was.... oh, and I like it up here on this horse smart guy.
What kind of tank size is the nano for? Also I really wish manufacturers included proper and thorough PAR/PUR data with their lights. I only ended up getting my fresh and plant 2.0s after seeing that data, from various outside sources. Seems like a missed opportunity, especially if you're marketing to aquascapers and such.
Any idea when you guy might upgrade the app/features? It still seems to lack a lot of features that I had hoped for. Like another commenter said for having the ability to ramp the individual colors and also the moon light, that would be nice to have within the app!
I’ve had the light for a week and it’s awesome but yes hopefully they can work out some better customizations within the app. Other than that it was most definitely worth the 160 bucks.
Wish there were more options for beginners with the flex series. I bought the flex 15 aquarium and lovvveeeee the lid… but why not make a Bluetooth plant light able to snap right into the spot the OEM one came in. If I’m starting into a hobby I want to make sure I have the right stuff for the outcome I want. Lid for me is essential! I have a cat and dog hair floating. But I guess I’ll have to get the plant light mounted to lid. Also I’d like to be able to control it with my ( alexa) via Bluetooth so I can change it if I’m at work. I see all these videos with these perfect tanks no Algae, and set up great. But still not getting the info I’m wanting. As in I’ve seen some people put plants in before water, then some videos of adding plants after tank is filled, 🤷🏽♂️ . Can someone just come over and help me!? 😢
As for the additional lighting on your FLEX it's really easy to add 1 additional light , I opted for the Aquasky and simply used 3M 30lb. double sided tape and as a JIC I also used Gorilla glue CRYSTAL CLEAR tape . Also since you just made this comment 1 week ago is why I decided to take a few minutes to let you know what I have done and hope you are getting the best out of your hobby that is a great place to learn and to get better as it's been 4 years since I started my planted aquarium and I have never thought about anything else when I am in front of my tanks 🖌 I'm happy to help if you have any questions please let me know ☯️
Just bought one of these lights and I absolutely love it so far you guys at Fluval are the best I'm trying to start a small mom and pop business around aquariums in south Alabama and I always recommend Fluval products for people new to the hobby thanks for what you do!!!!
I love this light and I'm about to go buy it so thanks for this. I got to say though it's rather odd that you are mirroring a cichlid tank as a preset for a planted tank focused light.
Im interested in purchasing this light. Ive noticed many complaints about not being able to fade out the moonlight after a certain amount of time and read replies from fluvial that they are listening and an update is coming. some of these comments are almost a year long....will there be an update to this? are you really working on it?...id love to know for sure before i purchase the light...thanks
Yes the update is coming soon and thanks for listening. Updates are being worked on and evaluated by multiple parties. While it may sound simple to update an app it is the user interface and the differences various people experience that is not, appreciate the patience.
If the power goes out while I'm on vacation, will Fluval continue where it left off? Such a situation happened recently and when the power was restored, Fluval waited in standby mode. Since I was at home, I intervened with the Fluval app and made it work.
Hello! If the LED was in Manual mode, it will continue to operate as it was before powering down. If in Auto or Pro mode, once powered back on, the light will run starting from 00:00 and will require connection to a mobile device with the FluvalSmart app installed to have its clock reset to the current time. If you are not present after a power failure, we recommend having someone with the app connect to your light unit and re-establish the correct time!
The Plant 3.0 is a great LED light when it works. Unfortunately mine has just developed a fault after just over a months ownership. The pure white LEDs started powering on and of and now they wont come on at all, either using the app or manually with the button on the light.
Mark, sorry to hear of the issue, we have not experienced that but your unit is covered by a warranty, please visit the store where it was purchased with your proof of purchase or contact us via the customer support page on www.fluvalaquatics.com please make sure to select your country when using on line contact.
The nano light itself seems like a pretty good light but the app is really lacking. They claim that are going to update but that has not happened yet. Sent them an email and asked then and they said there was going to be an update sometime this week... We'll see...
If the power goes out and comes back on again does the light come back on? I have the ludicrous Fresh and Plant 2.0 with WiFi controller. If the power goes out, you have to connect to its WiFI, launch the app and log into it to get the lights to work. I’ve been away on holiday when the power goes out and the lights either come back on full 24 hours a day or not at all. Fluval tanks and filters etc are all ok. I really want to like this brand.
C'mon Fluval! This is a terrible feature of the 3.0. Why can't you just program the light to restore itself to the previous setting before the power went out? You gotta fix this.
I really want one but an worried about the sizing. My tank is 60cm across, but the packaging says 61cm onwards. Will the extra 1cm be an issue? Does it just stick out and not fit properly?
I bought this light with my new 36-gallon aquarium which was full of plants. Algae started to grow everywhere and most of the plants didn't last more than 4-5 months. Is there a setting I could use to help my plants grow and last longer and stop the algae growth?
Hi Fred, our best advice would be to measure the exact area that the light will sit on as certain aquariums have rims and other don't. That said, if you are measuring from rim to rim, you would need a minimum of 48" for our LED to fit as it should. Please reach out to our customer service team with some photos for a more technical response. They can be reached at customer.service@rchagen.com 😊
Awesome Fluval can't wait of the Fall launch in Canada! Now, any updates on the rimless tanks? The F-90 is great and I love it with the 2.0 light...any chance for a rimless tank 90 x 50 x 50 for the 3.0?
Ama, thanks for your patience! We appreciate your comment on the F-90 but for the time being there is not update on a larger version. Thank you for the suggestion.
The % of the various LEDs selected are different. For angelfish we would recommed Tropical River based on the warmer tones, more warm white and red % is included, plus of us keep wild angelfish and like that setting as do the angels!
Can this fit and be used under the lid of the fluval 240l roma aquarium and what % intensity setting would you have for a tank with low light plants? I don't want to end up with a massive algae bloom from having too much light! Cheers for any advice
Hi Jamie, you can choose the settings and, once no longer connected to the LED, turn Bluetooth off. The light remembers the settings and will operate with them indefinitely!
HI Fluval Team, in the end of the video is mentioned about mounting bracket , is he talking about hanging bracket ? i would like to hang the light is that possible ?
Yes there are mounting clips and a suspension cable available that can be used for this new generation of LED Plant and Marine strip lights: Item# 14565 is the mounting Clip and Item # 14566 is the suspension cable.
@@fluval That means exactly? Do i habe to break off plastic Elements? Or do not fit the brackets themaelves? I just want to know im advance what i habe to do. :-) THX
It means as the end brackets of the 3.0 series are bulkier it is a little awkward installing them in the provided brackets. The length of the 3.0 that you limited to is the 24 inch model.
Hello from Switzerland, i bought this ramp since 5 month, and I want to customize for red and yellow plants and I don’t found a good explication for that, my plants are green and good but not with the colors that I want! Do you have a time lapse for that? Thank you very much.
We do not have any time lapse video. Generally speaking there is plenty of good information available on the basic lighting needs of specific species of plants, we would recommend researching based on the species of plant versus the color.
Hi there, we recommend the Planted 3.0 36-48" for your aquarium. The shorter model would fit as well although it would leave two slightly shaded areas on each end of your aquarium.
Someone help plz? When i plug my led lights to mains only the red lights come on the remote does not work on lights but some how i can use some fuction on my LG tv. Whats the issue?
HELP ! Hi I have a Boyu tank which is 85cm in length. Since the 32w max is exactly that length , do i get this one for a perfect fit or can i / should i get the 46W? I really dont know whcih to get. :/
I got this light and its great.. But, How do I make the blue lights turn off or dim to 5 percent at night for a very dark aquarium to let the fish rest?
`Hi Walter, not at the current time however you do have the option of 2 X 36 inch units or using a suspension kit which would allow a 4 ft. unit to provide sufficient lighting depending on the needs of the plants you may have.
Can this maintain medium-light plants in my 45 fluval bow? Is the tank too tall? Also, I have it over a glass canopy. Does that interfere with the lights quality at all?
Fluval, I have an idea for an update on the app that controls the light. The update that I had in mind would be for people who want to imitate a certain biotope. For instance, someone who wanted to do an Amazon biotope. It would be nice if it could use your data connection to find out the current conditions in the Amazon and have the light mimic those lighting conditions. What do you think? Is that a good idea?
We have this on the fluval bow 46 gal. Now I need help. I have my sword plants, sag plants and sprites. Does the blue and reds have importance on my plants as far as growth?
Yes absolutely, please use the following link to observe the photosynthetic response curves for Chlorophyll A and B: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chlorophyll_b
That would most depend on what you are keeping in the tank. For high light requiring species and a set up with CO2 injection two would be better, for most other installations one is likely going to be sufficient.
I have my tank in my bedroom does one of the preset have it so there is a time period when the light is totally off? If not can it be customized to have a time period when the lights are totally off?
Richard, the pre set is simply the spectrum that is pre-adjusted, the timing function you would program. The soon to be released update to the app will have the capacity for a period during the day where the light would be off.
The LED settings are different to provide an approximation of typical daytime lighting conditions of those "types" of environments. The Fluval Smart App does show the settings for each of the pre-sets. If you would like to receive a screenshot of each pre-set you may send us an email at fluvalsmartapp1@gmail.com with the request.
What is the meaning of the 6500K on the box when you can change the light temperature to whatever you want in the app? Also this light provides about 15 lumen per liter and that is about half what you need to grow plants. The price is for a pair or just one light because in the video you imply you can grow plants with this light?
6500K would be the color temperature with all LEDs at 100%. Lumens as a photometric spec is really suited best for what the human eye sees in terms of brightness and not what plants need in terms of photosynthesis. Spectrum is key for plants, in that regard thanks to the app you can roughly arrange the spectrum on the main spectral response curve that chlorophyll a and b respond to. We do not mention pricing in the video as this varies by market.
Yes, the 3.0 series will fit, specifically you may use this link for your convenience to the product page for the 59W unit that is applicable to the Vicenza 260: www.fluvalaquatics.com/us/product/14523-fluval-plant-spectrum-led-59w-48-60-122-153-cm/#.W-2pVjhKiUk
@@fluval Thanks for the very informative video. I just bought the 48" version for 60 gallon. I wanted to point something out on the referenced page. It is stated "48 IN. X 60 IN." That doesn't make sense, as that implies 48 inches long by (X) 60 inches wide, which would be a massive light. 😉 It should probably say something like "for tanks from 48 IN. - 60 IN." like it says on the box.
Hi there, thanks for your comment! We are not currently developing a longer version of this LED although, we will forward your suggestion to our product development team for their review. 😊
Im really interested in getting this light for my new 110 gallon (high) (48 7/8 in. x 19 in. x 30 3/4 in.)planted tank setup. Would this be a good light for it? Anyone have any experience with using this for the same tank?
Pauline, the Osaka was discontinued some time ago, you may use the link sent to visit the product pages for lengths available, the 24 inch model should work, there is a suspension kit that can be used to suspend the light unit from the ceiling in case it is not mountable on the supplied brackets that came with that kit. No cover is available for that model.
Given the depth of your aquarium you would require 2 units of the 48 to 60 inch Plant 3.0 units to provide light for mid light requiring plant species. Please visit fluvalaquatics.com and under products selecting lighting for further detail and information.
Hi there! The shimmering effect is caused by the light reflecting and refracting on the water's surface. To have less shimmer, simply reduce the amount of surface agitation in your aquarium!
Hi Jeremy, we are not entirely familiar with that aquarium, but a single unit would likely be sufficient. If you are intending to keep very high-light requiring plant species, adding a second unit may be beneficial!
While Fluval certainly has its' origins in Canada it is a global brand. Due to market and distribution differences markets have different launch dates. It will be available in Canada 4th quarter of 2018.
Different number of LEDs and less power but the aquasky does offer dynamic effects that the 3.0 series does not. Please visit fluvalaquatics.com for more information on both.
ok so I really need some help. In early December i set up a 5.2 gal tank and started cycling with seachem stability and prime. I was instructed to use 1/2 a cap of Prime once and then 1/4 cap of Stability everyday for 2 weeks. At this time I did not know about the nitrogen cycle. I went back to the store 2 weeks later and they did a water test for me, they told me it was safe enough to put fish in. I was wrongly instructed and told it was ok to have 2 mollies and 4 penguin tetras in a 5 gal tank, which is way too small for even 1 molly. About a week or two after having these fish in my tank, they slowly started to die one after the other. They all died showing the same symptoms however so we believe it was a parasitic problem which at the time I had no idea how to deal with. I was doing 20% water changes weekly but I can't afford to buy ammonia test kits because they are really expensive here in NZ. After all the fish had died, I took a water sample to the pet store to check that nothing was wrong with my water, and it came back clear with no sign of ammonia. We all figured maybe it was a oxygen problem so i invested in an air stone. I went home and COMPLETELY re started my tank, I did a 100% water change, cleaned the gravel and all the decorations, cleaned out my filter media, and then put it all back together. I have now had this tank cycling for 3 weeks, using Stability and Prime again, yesterday I went back to the store hoping to get some fish, they did a water test and told me i had ammonia in my tank and it really wasn't safe enough to buy fish. Today I am going to do a 50% water change and condition with Prime, but i just fell like im doing it all wrong. I really need someone to help me out, I think it may be a problem with my filter cartridges because maybe i cleaned them too much? Please help me im begging you :(((
Cassidy, did you mention to the store that took the ammonia test you were using prime? Given there was nothing in your aquarium to cause ammonia and you used prime, which can affect ammonia test kit readings that utilize Nessler reagents, we suspect that is the issue here. As always, we recommend Fluval Tap Water Conditioner and Biological Enhancer.

Caleb, it really depends on the species of plant and the lighting it was grown under. That said, we feel that in an aquariums of 18 inches or less in depth the lighting level will be suitable. For best success always make sure to be aware of the required pH and KH range the plant requires as well as substrate and water quality, all important factors as well. As a parting recommendation also take note that high light requiring plants (faster growing) in general do best when CO2 is injected into the aquarium as an easily assimilated carbon source is the main macro-nutrient for plants.

Fluval Aquatics doesn't the Roma 240 have a brace in the middle of the tank under the lid? It would block out a small portion of the light? The light wouldn't heat up and damage the brace or itself would it. I must ask as I'm about to buy both products
Stephen, yes there is a brace and there are no worries of damage to the brace. The new generation of LED's used in these units are far more heat tolerant, we do not see an issue. The extension bracket ends fit into the slots at each end inside the frame of the Roma making it an orderly secure install. If the brace is kept clean then light obstruction would be minimal, no issue in our opinion.

Any idea when you guy might upgrade the app/features? It still seems to lack a lot of features that I had hoped for. Like another commenter said for having the ability to ramp the individual colors and also the moon light, that would be nice to have within the app!
We hear you, it is being worked on, thanks for the patience!
I’ve had the light for a week and it’s awesome but yes hopefully they can work out some better customizations within the app. Other than that it was most definitely worth the 160 bucks.
That's great! And yes we are working on app upgrades.
💡
Hello, i have a question. Thundersorm feature is available on fluval plant led or only on fluval aquasky led? Thank you
Hi there! Dynamic effects such as thunderstorm mode are only available with Aquasky 2.0 LEDs.
Hi Fluval, great products! I was wondering if the 24-34 inch light fixture would be appropriate for a standard 29 gallon tank?
Hi there! In general, standard 29 gallon tanks are 30" in length, so the 24-34" Plant 3.0 LED would be a great choice!
I get the lights for growing plants but how come weather effects can’t be added for the kids?
Hi Gord! Weather effects are only included with Aquasky LEDs - it's just an exclusive feature for those lights!
Hi! Is there a way I can program a “lightning storm” setting????
This feature is available on the Aquasky line only at this time.
Graham, after a power failure the unit will default to night mode with blue leds and does require re-connection to the app to re-engage your program.
C'mon Fluval! This is a terrible feature of the 3.0. Why can't you just program the light to restore itself to the previous setting before the power went out? You gotta fix this.
@@kevinbrown3150 I agree! Needs fixed.
Could I replace the light on my 45 gallons bowfront with the 36"-48"? Would it fit on the lid?
Yes! 💯
Still waiting for the update that we was told would be release last year...
We are expecting it to be released soon, thanks for your patience.
3 months later.... still waiting. What’s your definition of soon?
Exactly these update times are pathetic, i couldn't wait any longer and had to go with a different light.
Update?
I really want one but an worried about the sizing. My tank is 60cm across, but the packaging says 61cm onwards. Will the extra 1cm be an issue? Does it just stick out and not fit properly?
No worries, it will fit a 60 cm tank properly.
I have a fluval flex 9 gallon. Can the 15 inch light be installed to the underside of my tank lid alongside the original light?
Unfortunately there is not sufficient room to do this.
@@fluval Thanks for the response
I bought this light with my new 36-gallon aquarium which was full of plants. Algae started to grow everywhere and most of the plants didn't last more than 4-5 months. Is there a setting I could use to help my plants grow and last longer and stop the algae growth?
I have a tank that is 47.2 inch across. Can I use the 48-60? Will the fixture actually mount the 0.8 inch difference?
Thank you for the suggestion.
c'est dommage... I look forward to the 3.0!
What is the difference between tropical river and planted?? I have a planted aquarium with angelfish?
The % of the various LEDs selected are different. For angelfish we would recommed Tropical River based on the warmer tones, more warm white and red % is included, plus of us keep wild angelfish and like that setting as do the angels!
@@fluval thank you very much
Will this fit directly under the Roma 240 hood? I'm looking to replace the standard light bar and the space between it and the hood is very limited.
Yes, the 3.0 series will fit within the Roma 240 hood.
Can this fit and be used under the lid of the fluval 240l roma aquarium and what % intensity setting would you have for a tank with low light plants? I don't want to end up with a massive algae bloom from having too much light! Cheers for any advice
Yes it can be. If you don't need this amount of light depending on which plants you are keeping then you may consider choosing an AquaSky.
Do you have to leave Bluetooth on are can you set it and turn your Bluetooth off with the functions you set it up with does it lock the settings
Hi Jamie, you can choose the settings and, once no longer connected to the LED, turn Bluetooth off. The light remembers the settings and will operate with them indefinitely!
@@fluval even if it's unplugged for many hours
HI Fluval Team, in the end of the video is mentioned about mounting bracket , is he talking about hanging bracket ? i would like to hang the light is that possible ?
Yes there are mounting clips and a suspension cable available that can be used for this new generation of LED Plant and Marine strip lights: Item# 14565 is the mounting Clip and Item # 14566 is the suspension cable.
@@fluval , are these available in US?
Does the 3.0 also fit as a second LED in a Fluval Flex 123 l or are the lamps too wide?
Thank you :-)
Yes it does but the installation is a bit more cumbersome.
@@fluval That means exactly?
Do i habe to break off plastic Elements?
Or do not fit the brackets themaelves?
I just want to know im advance what i habe to do. :-)

It means as the end brackets of the 3.0 series are bulkier it is a little awkward installing them in the provided brackets. The length of the 3.0 that you limited to is the 24 inch model.

Thanks for your Help
Hello from Switzerland, i bought this ramp since 5 month, and I want to customize for red and yellow plants and I don’t found a good explication for that, my plants are green and good but not with the colors that I want! Do you have a time lapse for that? Thank you very much.
We do not have any time lapse video. Generally speaking there is plenty of good information available on the basic lighting needs of specific species of plants, we would recommend researching based on the species of plant versus the color.
Hi not sure what size light to fet… my tank Exterior size is 90cm … any help???????
Hi there, we recommend the Planted 3.0 36-48" for your aquarium. The shorter model would fit as well although it would leave two slightly shaded areas on each end of your aquarium.
Someone help plz? When i plug my led lights to mains only the red lights come on the remote does not work on lights but some how i can use some fuction on my LG tv.

I got this light and its great.. But, How do I make the blue lights turn off or dim to 5 percent at night for a very dark aquarium to let the fish rest?
Please see above.
Is fluval planning a 72in model anytime soon?
In the market for a new light for my 125gal 3 lid tank.
It is capable of that. In the case of a glass top it is always important to keep them clean to prevent them from impeding light entry.
Hi Thomas, excellent idea!
@@fluval thank you.
Is one 22 W enough for a 18 inch cube when it's placed 10 inch above the water? Or do I need two?
That would most depend on what you are keeping in the tank. For high light requiring species and a set up with CO2 injection two would be better, for most other installations one is likely going to be sufficient.
I have my tank in my bedroom does one of the preset have it so there is a time period when the light is totally off? If not can it be customized to have a time period when the lights are totally off?
Richard, the pre set is simply the spectrum that is pre-adjusted, the timing function you would program. The soon to be released update to the app will have the capacity for a period during the day where the light would be off.
What is the difference between the 3 preset options? Can someone kindly break down the profiles of each: Lake Malawi, Tropical River, Planted?
The LED settings are different to provide an approximation of typical daytime lighting conditions of those "types" of environments. The Fluval Smart App does show the settings for each of the pre-sets. If you would like to receive a screenshot of each pre-set you may send us an email at fluvalsmartapp1@gmail.com with the request.
What lighting can I use on a 70cm tall tank that will give decent light to the bottom of the tank?
That is a deep tank, that really depends on how much light you need at the bottom.

Bought the 2.0 from Aquarium Co-op not that long ago, now to save up for this one, Cory beat y'all to the video too!

I have a Fluval Vicenza 260 LED tank. Will this light fit in the tank correctly and which size would I purchse ?
Hi, is Plant 3.0 59W suitable to use lighting at set all channels 100% ?
You can absolutely run any Fluval LED with all the settings at 100% if you'd like!
Does this system need to be plugged into a GFCI outlet or can it be plugged into any conventional outlet?
It does not need to be but a GFCI, the light unit is IP67 rated and uses a remove driver.
any possibility of this being made for 6 ft tanks. 72 inches.
Hi there, thanks for your comment! We are not currently developing a longer version of this LED although, we will forward your suggestion to our product development team for their review. 😊
Question.. i have a 4 ft tank so its around 122 cm . do i get the medium size or largest . Also its really hard to find in UK
To provide the most lighting coverage then you would get the 120CM or longest unit.
Im really interested in getting this light for my new 110 gallon (high) (48 7/8 in. x 19 in. x 30 3/4 in.)planted tank setup. Would this be a good light for it? Anyone have any experience with using this for the same tank?
Would it be possible to make a quick video on mounting options?
Steve, thank you for the suggestion, it has been added to the list.
Thank you!
Did the 48''-60'' light get discontinued? because i cant find it any where.
Andy, no it has not been discontinued, please check with your local fish store or perhaps an on line vendor.
Fluval Aquatics ok, will do. Thanks!
Is there a bracket to raise the lights bout 6 inches ABOVE the tank ?
Yes there is a suspension kit for this purpose, please use this link to view the video on it: th-cam.com/video/PlVZeD2__jo/w-d-xo.html
What size is the aquarium used in the video?
It is a 23 gallon set up.
will this fit on a fluval osaka 320? also do you happen to make any lids for the osaka?
Pauline, the Osaka was discontinued some time ago, you may use the link sent to visit the product pages for lengths available, the 24 inch model should work, there is a suspension kit that can be used to suspend the light unit from the ceiling in case it is not mountable on the supplied brackets that came with that kit. No cover is available for that model.
Hi! Thanks for your video, a quick info. I do have 5'x3'x2'H aquarium. If possible suggest me Fluval lights with full spectrum and availability.
Given the depth of your aquarium you would require 2 units of the 48 to 60 inch Plant 3.0 units to provide light for mid light requiring plant species. Please visit fluvalaquatics.com and under products selecting lighting for further detail and information.
Can it be installed under the hood of tank above water level
Yes it can!
Hi! I hate shimmering. Is it possible to remove that from this one via settings or? Thanks
Hi there! The shimmering effect is caused by the light reflecting and refracting on the water's surface. To have less shimmer, simply reduce the amount of surface agitation in your aquarium!
Is this the same light as seen on Amazon: "Fluval Plant Spectrum Bluetooth LED "?
This video is produced by Fluval Aquatics, yes it is.
How many of these would I need on a 40g cobalt Cvue tank?
Hi Jeremy, we are not entirely familiar with that aquarium, but a single unit would likely be sufficient. If you are intending to keep very high-light requiring plant species, adding a second unit may be beneficial!
Does the USA version also comes with a 100v-240v power adapter.
Yes it does, the plug of course is specific to North America.
Just purchased this from the USA, sent to Hong Kong, it's not available here, hope it's good.
As we mentioned above, the plug is specific to North America, Hong Kong uses a UK style 3 prong type plug, this may be an issue.
That isn't a problem, as long as the voltage is right, all is good, adapters are available very cheap to convert US two pin to UK three pin.
Correct!
Guess I will wait awhile to buy a light maybe a Christmas gift to myself 😁

Can a two spotted cat fish live with a betta and neon tetras and dwarf frog and wood shrimp
Small shrimp are at risk. The rest of your mix in a 10 gallon aquarium or greater should work out.
Does the aquasky have all of these same features?
Different number of LEDs and less power but the aquasky does offer dynamic effects that the 3.0 series does not. Please visit fluvalaquatics.com for more information on both.
Can this lamp be used to tanning arowana ?
ok so I really need some help.
Are smartphone applications for Fluval Plant 3.0 and AquaSky 2.0 the same or different? If I will have 2 of these lights, will I be able to manage them from one app or I will need to do it separately in 2 different apps? Thanks

Is one enough to grow high light plant s in a 3 feet tank?
Caleb, it really depends on the species of plant and the lighting it was grown under. That said, we feel that in an aquariums of 18 inches or less in depth the lighting level will be suitable. For best success always make sure to be aware of the required pH and KH range the plant requires as well as substrate and water quality, all important factors as well. As a parting recommendation also take note that high light requiring plants (faster growing) in general do best when CO2 is injected into the aquarium as an easily assimilated carbon source is the main macro-nutrient for plants.
New firmware is available. It's awesome. Now can have siestas!

Fluval Aquatics ok thank you for the reply 👌
Anyone know where I can buy this in the UK?

Please do an installation video.
On the fence, love Fluval products, but the Beamsworks lights are pretty comparable!
Nice light . Please make a 72" fixture.
You do have the option of hanging or mounting 2 X 36 inch units side by side.
@@fluval yep, but the 125 is a very popular aquarium and who wants to set up 4 lights ; )
