      The culture shock is real. I work with my girlfriend, she is from guatemala. We work with many spanish speaking men. I'm often bothered by the way these men stare at and annoy my girlfriend. She and her spanish speaking girlfriends seem to be fine with this behavior. I find it very disrespectful yet I know my Irish culture is much different and more reserved.

    I'm a white guy married to a Mexican woman for over 30 years now. Other than the fact that this video is very accurate, I have to say this... Mexican people are very passionate and will sacrifice their own life in order to protect one of their family members or even their friends. Just imagine what it takes for a woman like that to respect her man. It's all or nothing because that's exactly what she'll give you. Just saying. ✌️

    I am a U.S. born Puerto Rican living in Los Angeles. I speak Spanish. For some reason I was never in a serious relationship with Mexican women although I dated such. Most were not attracted to me. I never understood why. In the end I married a Spanish woman. She was U.S. born of Spaniard parents. I think there are subtle cultural differences among Hispanic cultures which can influence relationships. Such may not be overtly apparent.

Plus what I love about her she doesn't ask me to change she lets me be myself and honestly I've never had that in any relationship and she's very understanding. She doesn't try to stuff me in a box that I will never fit in. As a Mexican guy born in the USA. I gave up on dating Mexican women after dating a decent amount (25) of them and being told I'm "too american, not Mexican enough, and too nice for a Mexican man." So I dated everyone else black, white, vietnamese, Chinese, Brazilian, Haitian, and German now. I'm happier sharing my culture with others. No hate to Mexican women but, be ready for anything to go wrong and be like MacGyver and fix it. I would have if I saw potential in any of those dates. My mom really wanted me to be with a Mexican women so got as many girls to go on a date with me as possible.

    • @moscaonthewall
      @moscaonthewall 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      So... this is gonna be long... fair warning:
      From my POV as a Mexican single mother with a Christian/Traditional upbringing, yes her children are going to come first while you are DATING. However, I was raised with the idea that the husband is the head of house and he comes before the children. So, what men have to understand is that while dating, you are not her priority because you are just a boyfriend, which can mean very little depending on the amount of time you have been dating. The longer you can last in the relationship and the more committed you both get to each other, the higher you get on her list of priorities. Once you become HUSBAND, however, then you are someone important. Boyfriend, not so much. There is no reliability or guarantee of commitment with a boyfriend. Also, there is no shared responsibilities with a boyfriend. As a single mother, we are not only responsible for ourselves, but also another human being (which is a pretty big responsibility). Therefore, how can you expect to be #1 in her list of priorities? Once married, she can feel some relief because she will share those responsibilities with you and that will give her more freedom to place YOU (the man) higher.
      I cannot understand why men feel like single mothers should not prioritize their children over someone they are dating. They are wholly responsible for the life of their child(ren). They are not responsible for you (men). However, this does not mean that she doesn't WANT to place you higher in her list of priorities or that she doesn't want to be everything for you. It simply means that her hands are tied to her obligations to her children because they are her FAMILY.
      Now, if you completely fall in love with a single mother and think she'd make a great partner, then have patience with her and her situation. Have an honest conversation about how she prioritizes her children over you. It's very possible that she's unaware that you feel this way.
      If you or any man is not marriage minded, however, then I suggest avoiding single mothers altogether. Single mothers are looking for partners to share family/life obligations with. For the most part, they are looking for husbands and, in some cases, father figures for their children (in cases of absentee fathers).
      This is just my point of view, but I'm confident that I'm not the only single mother who thinks this way.

    • @danjsilve
      @danjsilve 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@moscaonthewall Thank you for your thorough and comprehensive reply. I am very encouraged by your viewpoint, as it's nice to hear Mexican ladies' POV. Also from someone who has Christian values. I am originally from England, and let's just say things are very different there with regards to Christianity and marriage. It's why many Westerners look to date from other traditional cultures as divorce rates are so high, and 80% are instigated by women. Personally, I don't want to be the top priority in a relationship with a single mother, I have my own things I want to take care of. The lady I am getting to know is still waiting for her divorce to come through and she is in no hurry to get married again. The father of their 8-year-old daughter is present, which is great for their daughter, but he does not want another man living under the same roof as his daughter, and being a Father myself I get that. The lady in question says she needs to obtain closure, and we recognise the possibility she may never be ready to date again, aside from time constraints, ( she is spinning many plates ) her ex-husband may be the one great love of her life, and their soul-tie is very strong. You know some people only ever have that one soul mate. We shall see. I should be in Mexico in May, and I hope to finally get to meet her, and as we say "one step at a time" Gracias.

    This is so so true for my experiences. I mean I had to be in charge and lead everything but only when I was doing it the “right” if not she wanted to chime in on everything. Lol your in charge yeah right. Lol. The family thing was so much to handle. Not only that she has 3 sisters. So I was the go to for all guy advice. So I become a therapist. Then the hardest part was being super polite to the father but also showing him that I handle things in my home. The aunt told me. “You see those rams 🐏 on tv in the wild when they head butt? Just go with that attitude. But don’t disrespect him” lol 😂 then with her also never saying what she means. Always being quiet 🤫 and expecting me to know what’s wrong. It was honestly the most difficult and the most rewarding time of my life. I learned so much about myself also.

    I have travelled to Mexico many times, and you are right. Mexico is huge with distinct variations in behaviour of the natives. I am still wondering why no one ever told me it is important to learn Salsa dancing if dating a girl from Veracruz, and why in that region the girls say "eh ,eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh" as they are dancing. Which I have not heard in Chiapas or Sonora for instance, where they also love to dance.

    Be very very very careful which old-school values you throw out the window. And be prepared to accept the consequence if your community becomes "modern". Among my community, I see a number of eligible men now looking to other cultures, in search of someone with old school values; and I see a number of modern women in my community complaining about this trend. They were not ready to Pagar los platos Rotos. I'm trying to increase my Spanish vocabulario, so I'll be taking a look at the lessons on your channel.

    I am a white woman age 41 from France and my longtime boyfriend who I have been for 13 years who is 31 he is a Mexican from La Mixteca Poblana Puebla Mexico. Yes I been to his small town that has a population of 1000. I have no complains about him just one thing tho. His family you can say they are modernized and have no convsertive mind his mom is a bit but open minded. He does not have a macho attitude or anything like that. The thing is I don't like is that Mexicans want to have a ton of kids. Hey I am 41 and I don't plan to have any children not today or in 10 years. I simply don't have time to raise a child I love babies but to have one 24/7 its not for me. Hes been pushing me the last 3 years or so to have a kid he says its time already and for me its not I say.
    Despite this his family is very modern. I mean modern in total its 5 children he is the only male and youngest. All his sisters are over 5'9 and they dress with fashion he is the only one that dresses normally and he only went to high school compared to his sisters who went to college and have careers. Honestly his sisters walk like models. All his sisters have foreign boyfriends none are latinos or Mexicans. You could easily mistake any of his sisters for white females.
    My father in law is 5'11 and my mother in law is 5'6 while my man is 6'3. His sisters are 5'9, 5'10 and 5'11 of them

      Break up with him, please. You have different visions of the future. Any person that really wants kids but doesnt get to have them, will likely be bitter and blame the spouse for not having kids, or he will leave you once he meets a woman who will give him the family. I know this isnt happy advice, but its better you consider it and plan accordingly than to find out the hard way. Bonne chance!

    • @jackielopez269
      @jackielopez269 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      As a Mexican, I can tell you that not all Mexicans want to have a ton of kids. That completely depends on the person. At least the people I know all have a different idea of how many kids they want or if they want any. Also, you mention his sisters can be mistaken for white girls when being Mexican is not a race. Most of us are mestizos a mix of white (mostly Spanish) and indigenous. I am 5’9, light skin with green eyes is not that I look like a white girl is that I am descendent of white people, It is probably the same for the family of your partner and a lot of other Mexicans.

    • @moscaonthewall
      @moscaonthewall 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree with Inconnu 49. You are not well matched. If you haven't already, you need to have an honest conversation with him about the fact that you NEVER want kids. He might think he can persuade you at some point. You need to make it clear to him so that he knows what choices to make.
      He seems to really want children and being the only son, it's kind of up to him to continue the family name. It might be old fashioned thinking, but making sure a family name doesn't die is kind of a thing for Mexicans (maybe not as widespread anymore though).

      @@jackielopez269 so much for this short Mexican stereotype, lol! In Cancun I find this to be true plus in Cancun and other regions of southern Mexico as well as in these countries of Central America not only are a majority of Latinos and Latinas short they are usually very thin. But my experience in Chihuahua and Monterrey was the opposite on average for Latinos and Latinas because tall Latinos and Latinas are very common no matter if looking more European or more native. White Americans in the mid 19th century described the natives in northern Mexico and in the great Plains of the USA as tall and big boned people so this everything is bigger in Texas might have more to do with the native tribes of this region then with being European.

But to not have ANY CHILDREN AT ALL for the sake of They're there 24/7 is a little selfish to me. Yeah, it's "PARENTING". Lol .... Didn't know where you were going when you literally gave a height, weight and skin tone of ALL OF HIS SISTERS but I said to myself, "Ehhh, cut her some slack, she's French". Lol ...

    As a mexican man married to a Mexican woman i can assure you that Mexican women are no different than any other woman as female nature is universal. Just be yourself , respectful and state your true intentions most important don’t except foolish behavior here are my 9 response to her 9 problems 1. Unless you are dating a teenager then what she said is true .2.Not true you’ll be surprise not all Mexican families are big .just like not all US families are big.3. Like I stated before be true to her and yourself this much like number 1 is foolish behavior that is not expected from a grown woman in any culture let her know from the get go make it clear you aren’t a mind reader .4. In general woman don’t respect push overs and being respectful and considerate is more than enough don’t try to impress with every action be stern but rewarding. 5 like 1 and 3 these are on the foolish behavior spectrum and must be stopped on the spot if she cant trust you than she needs to go .There is no time for bad behavior if she has issues from previeses relationships than she needs to get professional help you are no Doctor or mental specialist , not even a healer. 6.This is a culture thing but i notice it happens when you aren’t direct and let them know that time is important people actually respect your time when you make it clear that it is important remember don’t be a push over. if its just a gathering at a home or party it makes no difference the time they get there. 7. Not all Mexicans are loud when they are excited or in shock which is natural to be because this behavior is normal across all cultures when individuals are face with a problem they feel they can’t handle and yes some people Re just naturally loud or have a no bs tone . 8. No one gets offended if you say no thanks it’s not the 18th century people understand that you come from a different place. 9. This depends on the person for the Most part from what I’ve experience We are pretty conservative when it comes to public affection it’s mostly teenagers you’ll see kissing or hugging in public .

From their warm passionate heart they're outspoken independent interfire to me there is no problem too big I wouldn't happily workaround and compromise in order to have my own Latina Queen by my side when I met my first crush the first woman I truly feel for she was more beautiful than all the stars in God's sky that was the last time I ever saw my heart the wake up every morning next to a woman like this I could never ask for more I've been with women from different backgrounds but Latina women have been God's gift to myself just a cuddle up next to her play with her hair and remind her she's the greatest thing that ever happened to me would be a blessing someone I could have and show my children every day this is what a real woman is and how a man should treat her when it comes to arguments or disagreements my policy is I'm lucky enough to have her so she wins every time I live close to Atlanta in Georgia fingers crossed I meet my Hispanic dream girl the only thing I would ever ask of her as to see her smile

    7:21 Huh, you seem to complain about pretty much the same things that we complain about here in Texas.
    I get there is a time and a place, and sometimes it's best just to let a person vent their frustrations. They are likely already upset, and that is not the best time to start a lengthy conversation/debate (that would probably be very intellectually stimulating if they were calm) doing so could just trigger them to go on a longer and angrier rant.
    With that being said; it sort of has the same energy that you were upset about earlier "You're are prettier when silent." I don't like the idea that I should hold my opinions back anymore than you do. That's very unhealthy and stifling. I think that will eventually cause resentment towards a romantic partner. I personally think it's best to get everyone's personal feelings out in the open, because if their opinions cause serious friction maybe that's a good sign that person is not the one you should be with anyway. I don't expect my partner to be silent, and I am not going to be either. If anyone wants to date a white American guy hopefully they like to talk. Well with this one at least, because not many topics are taboo with me.

    Spanish girls are a lot like American girls. He's just a friend. That's not flirting, were just being nice. He's my brother, when he's really not.

    Let’s just appreciate the title; 9, not 3 or 4 but NINE unavoidable PROBLEMS with a Latino relationship? Wow 😯 👋 Thanks for saving me a lot of time ⌛️

    This is a liberal latina worldview.This does not necessarily reflect the views of most Mexican women. For the most part it's easy enough to get around a lot of these problems if you simply study and learn the culture and language and adopt as much of it as you can that will make your Hispanic significant other very very happy and it will create a deep bond. If you know how to be treated like a man from her culture and to treat her how she expects to be treated from her culture she will make your life Paradise

    Paulisima i have a question. I have over 80 classes on italki with mexican tutors, most are good looking women and they ALL tell me they would have no problem packing up and moving to the U.S. and leaving their family behind, which kinda confuses me if they are so family oriented, but i don't wanna ask too many nosy questions of them, lol. And i notice that you did the same und du lebst jetzt en deutschland. (my wife is from Germany, so i spoke decent German until i gave it all up to learn Spanish, lol)

    I've heard from many guys that you'll develop PTSD from dating or marrying a Mexican woman. Why is this?

    Hi, I'm an Indian boy and I love Mexican. I want to move to Mexico so do you guys have support? What is your opinion about this?
    And I like Mexican girls very much if there is such a girl. If found, I will shift there.
