      I think even a 14mm shackle shattered the teeth of a set of cutters. That being said. If you plan on retesting, I highly recommend more safety measures, cutting a slit in that wood to place lock and cutting teeth threw, as well as being able to apply pressure while not being in bitting distance of a metal hook on a chain that would only come lose once surpassing 2000pounds of pulling force, I want to see you have fun, not end up in a wheelchair from shattering your pelvis.

    I mean, it might not cut the shackle, but the lock is pointless. You can take a power drill and drill out the lock mechanism. Just brute force the lock itself with a good drill bit. Get you a cobalt steel drill bit and a good high torque power drill. It'll grind the locking mechanism into scraps, and the bolt that holds the shackle together will just fall apart.

    Mail the lock with a link to this video off to the fine Finnish folk over at the Hydraulic press channel. They'll get through it. But yeah, a u-bolt shackle like that, you're better off using a hack saw rather than over-sized bolt cutters.

      Better yet maybe Tyler and him should collaborate for a video.

      @@Wisconsin222 see the problem with that is it involves international travel. And due to the bungling of many American governmental officials regarding a certain zoonotic virus named after the Spanish word for crown a lot of European countries have placed significant restrictions on traveling into and out of the USA.

    use tie wire and loop it a single wire will hold 100 lb on average so maybe loop 10 times for a 2klbs force you can use next time, paracord is scary as shit with a chain under that much tension

    Be curious to know if a 3 or 4" cutoff wheel or and angle grinder would cut that lock and which one the fastest

  • @billelmaasmi
    @billelmaasmi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I can not believe you remained thinking of breaking the lock 😂😂🤘. There is a life to cut such locks you have to put the lock in a fixed place and use the front edge of the breaker in the external parts of the metal rod to become weaker. Good luck

    I suggest trying a pound of C4. Oh, heck, go with 5 pounds. You may want to warn the neighbors.
