MAGIC MOUSE. it's the sweet spot between the 2: with just a 2 finger swipe i move between fullscreen apps/desktops!!! when i work/study i have open in fullscreen 2 page view: 1) in fullscreen splitscreen word + powerpoint (or teams lecture, in streaming or recorded; both in 1 page view); 2) 2 pdf notes of past years; 3) 1 big pdf book; 4) 2nd big book; 5) browser on main desktop with some tabs. OT: i use pdf expert -> it allows me to copy & paste images from pdfs straight into every app without losing resolution (and text too).
I really wanted to get an MX3 but I'm a lefty and I can't take the time at work to learn right handed mousing. I just recently switched over to the Magic Trackpad after getting a sore wrist with a left handed Logi Lift. I'm enjoying all the special gestures. I should have switched a long time ago. Now I will find out if I get other pains from the track pad.
Hi Brandon, thanks for the very informative video! I'm thinking about the same setup. A question for you: I see that you are using the Magic Keyboard with the numpad. Is it comfortable / ergonomic to use all 3 peripherals if the keyboard is the extended one (the numpad version)? No issues with the "wideness" of the setup?
@@makachoy both magic track pad and slimblade are next to each other. Track pad is just essential for apple's ecosystem and for when small movement with lot of precision is needed. It is the only con so far for the slimblade pro, that initial relative high static friction coefficient which can't be avoided even with custom ceramic bearings.
The only issue with MX Master is they still have that coating that gets sticky over time, regardless of how clean your hands are. Meanwhile the trackpad looks new even at six years old. Other than needing the ability to it right and left click independently, the trackpad is better across the board with better touch tool. Just my experience.
I am using my ipad pro with a magic keyboard and a monitor and the Logitech MX Master 3S. I work alot with Logic Pro and this combination is epic. I use the logitech mouse for the regular use and the trackpad to zoom/pinch in and its smooth
Funny-I was just thinking maybe I should get both, and then that’s where you went. I do switch hands just for relief, but can definitely think I’d prefer the mouse for precision in Lightroom.
that mouse is way to busy I would say go with a trackpad instead of playing mourned for weeks - even the app so in order to use this thing you got to spend a few hours even getting to know it and set it up - I would rather plug in the trackpad and go MX Master3 are for Windows guys who build home computers - it is a hobby not a help
My opinion - this is an extreme exaggeration of how “difficult” the mouse and app are. I would guess the buttons/features are no more complicated than memorizing all the gestures of a trackpad. I’ve recommended the MX3 to “non-computer” people and they picked it up really quick and love it. Thanks for watching!
What option would you choose? Trackpad or mouse?

Neither, I switched to trackball long ago. Logitech makes very good trackballs
omg , you are totally right about getting both. This is a game change for me with music production! Thank you!
Good move!!

Good luck! Trackpads are great and at least for me, easy on my wrists since I can relax my hand much more
The value you produce will definitely allow you to grow big on youtube ! thanks for the advice !
Thank you!!
Glad you've mentioned the issue with the charging cable, totally agree!
Yep both all I Wanted to hear!
Winning!
I have both, use both, and both are excellent products
I agree. Both.
I use both also. MX in the right hand and magic track pad on my left
I found out this setup works for me too instead of both devices on the right.

It is a good question and I wondered the same before doing it. There is no issue with the wideness for me.
That's useful info, thanks for the reply :)
Nothing beats the Kensington slim blade pro. I'm never going back to mouse ever again
nice!
How is scrolling experience?

Nice. Have you tried trackpad on the left and slimblad pro on the right?

today they announced the usb c magic trackpad
heck yeah! finally
I have both as well. I love the track pad which my fav device.
Trackpad on the left, keyboard in the middle, mx3 on the right.
"pro" tip: I open my macbook and place it to the top left, for the free track pad :P
I also do that at work! 🤣
Great video Brandon! Out of curiousity, have you had any experience messing with the magic trackpad on windows at all?
Thanks! I have not…
Is it possible to use the MX3 with the Magic Trackpad together? I mean, use them at the same time, just like a Macbook allows me to do.
Absolutely, this is what I do!
It's a slam dunk if you happen to be left handed. What choice do you have if you're left handed?
I'll admit I'm not too well versed in left hand options!
I use both as well
A separate trackpad, aeparate keyboard...Really?
Mx3 form me. Excellent video
Thanks! 👍
