In this video Brian and Bradford demo the Dr. 66 patch for the Line 6 HX family of products. These patches include premium IR cabs from our Bogner Duende with a Celestion G12H30 70th Anniversary speaker.
The Route 66 is Dr. Z's take on a classic Marshall Bluesbreaker (JTM45). The midrange is thick, and when you turn up the gain, this amp model just sings.

Almost definitely! I noticed that too. Glad I’m not the only one.
I actually really like my clean sound to break up a little bit. I just find it more chewy and if I think it’s too much, I just turn my guitar’s volume down to clean it up...
Tried the patch with James Tyler Variax into Helix Floor. Love it -- very "meaty."

6:42...Funny, for my main p&w patch that I use on Sundays, I use the Vox Ac30 and a Matchless Dc-30. I’ve always liked the more “chimey” sound of those amps and I paired those amps with premium IRs that I bought from you guys...I’m still gonna get this patch though, cuz I want these new IRs!!! Nice work guys;)🤘🏼

I’m a filtertron guy, change my mind! 😂 Seriously looking forward to said video, haven’t owned anything with dynasonics yet bc I have several styles of single coils already...maybe I been thinking about this all wrong?
I put some filtertrons in a squier strat I heavily modded (including a bigsby) and it’s amazing

You guys should make a patch with the Placater Clean amp. I saw a video on the TH-cam channel "paulhindmarshmusic" and he was using a Yamaha Revstar and it just sounded glorious.

Used the Dr Z model in worship for quite awhile. It is all that you say. It will get some gain but for me has a flat response across all the frequencies.
Not gonna lie, I feel many of these patches start to run together. Would love a massive blind test between several patches.
I feel like the style itself is a bit limiting
Just scrolling through the amps with in-ears, the difference in EQ and even texture of breakup is huge. It’s even more huge when you add in effects and overdrives. I don’t know how well it would come across on TH-cam, but it’s a huge difference in person.

You can find good value either modifying and properly setting up a good feeling squier or looking for used last gen made in Mexico Fender stuff. Also there are a lot of brands that have really good value for the price that aren’t bigger names, eg. Schecter, Ibanez, Gretsch, Danelectro if you’re feeling exotic 😉 but there are others still
This is a fairly low gain amp, not sure why you say it's not that easy to get it clean?
