I've been driving my 2004 Mazda MPV for 160,000 miles. I bought it off lease with 35k on it. It's been through 2 children, from spilled sippy cups to taking them to college. I've had to fix a few minor issues, but for a vehicle that's been paid off for 16 years, the expenses don't come close to what payments would be if I bought something newer. Here's to another 100k, knock on wood!!
Yeah, I watched the video earlier today where Ramona shared that coffee filter that sits on the mug, I wanted to see how it worked. Very cool, I like that. What a lovely comfortable chat you two had!

So timely for me I am getting a Pacifica Touring and will be trying full-time living in that. I have a full time job and i am 62. I will be Urban dwelling. Thnks for sharing..
For me the most important thing when buying my minivan was mechanical reliability. I can always make the inside comfortable with any model, but I can't afford to have a lot of engine repairs. What I got out of doing a lot of research before I bought my Sienna is that it is WAY more reliable than any other brand, even Honda. I took the advice of a really smart mechanic who has decades of experience. He said go with Toyota. Even Honda minivan has had history of issues (transmission problems for one).
Ty great video! Just so peeps know, I just bought a 2020 Voyager, 64k miles, it's the same everything as the Pacifica but no sun roof and $18,000 so half the price. I love the sun roof but will eventually need a roof top as I travel w my dog who has her own camping den, bed, I carry a spare tent for family/ friends to join w an air mattress and some other larger items. So if u can't afford the brands new price tag there is still hope lol.
I seriously looked at the Pacifica but ended up with a Sienna. My Santa Fe had a panoramic sunroof and I really loved sleeping in the back and looking up at the night sky. Unfortunately at 5'8", I really need the extra inches that's lost because of the sunroof. Plus I need AWD and a hybrid and the Pacifica hybrid doesn't come with AWD. If it did, I would have got the Pacifica.

I needed to comment after binge watching all of your videos over the past week. I don't like to travel but do like to watch travel videos. There was once a tiny house video where the girl who lived there stressed the importance of never mixing liquid and solid waste together. She had a bucket and sawdust and explained the chemical reaction when they do mix so liquid was always dumped separately and because of this she was able to use the solid waste with sawdust multiple times before needing to change anything ...virtually odorless. Love all the guests and great content. Provocative and evocative. Thank you
I have a 2021 Chrysler Voyager, it doesn't have the bells and whistles yours have though. The uneven floor cocerned me, I did not know REI had a cot with adjustable legs. I will have to look into that.. 🙋♀️✌️
It’s nice hanging out with you ladies. I hope to join you on the road soon. I have a Sienna and definitely know about the rough floor situation. But I’ll figure out something. 😅

Just a thought about storage if she decides to travel further and longer and needs more of it, does the van come with a hitch receiver? I have a Yukon which of course is made to tow but when I'm car camping and not pulling my trailer I have a storage deck that I put in my receiver for my supplies (chairs, rug canopy etc) and I cover with a tarp. Of course, that car is not made to carry much but a couple hundred pound is doable, this might be an alternative to storage box on the roof which will block her sky view, I just make sure my tail lights are not obstructed, I use bungee cords to keep the tarp tight I also put reflectors on the deck, she could also put a storage bag on the deck and not have to worry about rain or a putting a tarp on.

Sadly, they don’t come with spare tires anymore. It’s a “flat tire kit” thingy. I’m pretty religious about getting tires checked before heading out and then trying to monitor them daily. 🤞🏼Hoping I never need that thing or my road side service. I also travel with a small air compressor for airing them up a little if needed.
@@RamonaRambles just saw this video and am curious if you have used your new bed? I just looked it up and read the reviews, most were very unfavorable with lots of different reasons….what are your thoughts on it?
I am loving the bed. It feels a lot more solid than a cot. I have extra foam padding on it. I’m still super pleased. Not sure why people wouldn’t like it since the softness or hardness will depend on whatever topper is used just like any bed. It would be SUPER firm if you only used the mat it came with. 🤷🏼♀️
Those Pacification are ridiculous expensive in Germany, they ask 81.000 € for it. Might be because in Germany you don’t get Chrysler regularly, they have to be imported.
You got all kinds of VW mini and midi vans that we don't get here, so you still have plenty of options. I don't know if any are electric or not though.
@@joseville Most minivans - like Citroen Berlingo - nowadays are electric. VW has a new and rather expensive new electric van too. But the affordable minivans only have a reach of 280 km, that’s not enough in my eyes.
That hardware can be removed from a Toyota Sienna. I love my Toyota Sienna & I'm sold on it. I would not live or drive anything else unless I had no other choice. Toyota is a smart choice.

The Pacifica has the smoothest ride of any minivan thanks to its longer wheelbase.
