I came across your channel while searching for videos on Mini Van conversions as I have a 2014 Town & Country. As I listened to you I thought you sounded so much like my nephew who lives in Hobart. I watched all of your videos in one sitting and in one you state you're going from Portage to Portland. So that WAS a mid West accent I was hearing, and truly you sound just like my nephew! I thoroughly enjoyed watching your videos and look forward to more! You have a wonderful sense of humor and a great voice for TH-cam!
Thank you so much for the great comments! I can't tell you how encouraging it is to hear someone say they watched all of your videos in one sitting. I'm so glad you like them and I definitely look forward to making more. It's also weird to hear that I have an accent. I guess I'm like everyone else and I think it's only other people who have accents. LOL! But Hobart Indiana is right next door and it's not a very big place. I wouldn't be overly shocked if I met your nephew. Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!

I agree re blinds! Covering my windows has been such a pain. The layout is quite similar to mine, but your back organization has inspired me to reconfigure mine. Thanks!
I just love this version compared to #1. I am really trying to imagine my living in a minivan for 3-6+ months while I drive across country from NJ looking for a location to move to in my retirement. I am more like you liking cold weather rather than hot. I’ll need more storage so will have to use all the space under the bed. I have 3 wooden lockers that are bench size. I could use 2 against the other wall & store the kitchen stuff in 1 & misc stuff in other. The 3rd one could be at the base of my bed since I’m short unless I put the potty there. Depending on space, I might put them up on a base or legs so I could store some bins underneath. I probably would need to secure them somehow. I would have same plastic drawer unit behind the passenger seat to store electronic, office & small misc stuff. Thanks for giving me great ideas that I could do this in a minivan. Now, on to binging a few more of your videos. Cheers, Mo in NJ
Oh yeah, I mentioned I prefer cold to heat. I skied for years & love winter sports & snow as long as I don’t have to shovel it. My sister wants me to move to FL near her but I hate the extremely hot summers there. I could live there as a snowbird but that’s when I want to travel to AZ & other western places. I’m thinking I need to buy a used 2017 Pacifica, use things I already have to build it as a no-build build like you have. I would still keep the seats stowed in until I know if I want to use it as a camper for the next few years or if I want to go the Class C RV route. Ok, let me think more on that for now. Hahaha.
Yeah, definitely made a lot of improvements in version 2. It was one of those situations where once you build a thing, you have no idea if it's going to work until you take it out and try it. I took version 1 all the way to Portland and came up with a lot of improvement ideas along the way. I came home and rebuilt the whole thing. But even that was a year ago and just recently I rebuilt it all again! I hope to have a video for version 3 out in a few weeks.
Omg the blinds and your sink system are genius 👍. I love that fridge, opening from both sides is so convenient. You should really start making your blinds (and sink) for sale 😉 I’d be your first customer 🤞
Thank you so much for the comment! You are not the first to make that suggestion but I would have to charge too much. Those blinds were a pain and a half. But it's tempting. Maybe I do a video on how they were constructed.
@@VantasticPacifica nice and well thought setup Bravo You should do a video on how you made those blinds great design 👌👍 Good luck and enjoy you journee
Thank you! What I like about them is they can be operated with one hand. There's nothing to roll up, snap, tie up or Velcro. And all without being permanently attached to the car and anyway. They are not easy to make but I'll put out a video soon showing how I did it. If anyone wants to give it a try or improve the design, feel free.
This is one of my favorite van set ups. I really appreciate how simple it is and still provides for all your needs. I would just add some type of toilet for emergencies. One you tuber suggested a folding stool and just cut out the middle for a bag. It will fold out of the way when not in use. Use duck tape around cut fabric.
Definitely love the blinds. This build is as close to mine than any I've seen. A Video on how you made the blinds would be awesome. Also wondering how often do you feel you use or need the sink? Wondering what else could put there that would be of better space usage? In my van it's all storage. I also keep my 3rd row passenger seat up and call it the living room. For dishes or washing hand ..or a quick sponge bath, I just use a 5 gallon portable with a spout that I use outside. Water inside for drinking is gallon refills using my own bottles. I love finding free natural spring water at public springs where I fill all my jugs.
Of course, the importance of the sink is going to vary depending on how you use your camper van. I tend to stick to the pavement so I'm never short on rest stops and truck stops. It's not particularly inconvenient for me to be near running water when it's time to wash my hands or brush my teeth. So I could definitely get by without the sink. But my mission is to have as many comforts of home as I can without having to set foot outside the van. I don’t even want to get out to go from the driver seat to the back. But also, I don't need much storage space since I'm never gone for more than a week or two. And I don't cook so I don’t need to save room for a stove, propane, pots/pans, etc. Thank you for the great question! As far as making a video on how I made the blinds, you're in luck! I've already made one… th-cam.com/video/dOX3RtJd5us/w-d-xo.html And recently, I've modified my camper configuration. Now the sink is doing double duty as an entertainment center. I would love to get your thoughts on it if you get some time… th-cam.com/video/6KolJYlFnZ0/w-d-xo.html
Thank you very much! To answer your question, I don't do much camping. I created this vehicle with road trips in mind. I like to drive around the country and go home so I have no real need for a toilet or a stove. I'll never be too far from a Chipotle or Panda Express or KFC.
Thank you! It was a struggle and I hope to not have to do it again. But I am working on a new design I hope will be simpler, cheaper and easier to make. I'm sure I'll make a video about it.
I don't know if anybody has said this but I think you should put Black Marble Contact Paper around that sink! You could even do the wood trim underneath the sink? It's so easy to do and It would look so much better with that stealth van of yours! You did a perfect job! I'm so impressed with the window blinds and everything you have done! Now I want to do this! :D
With regard to your cup holder issue with the tray-table assembly not working. I was thinking that a suction cup added to the bottom of the cup holder insert assembly, might be a good solution to keep the assemply from coming out. Also, attaching a stirdy flexible plastic piece to be positioned between the insert and the cup holder wall, extending down to the edge of the suction cup part, to use for easy prying under the suction cup, to aid in releasing the suction cup hold. Thoughts?
Not a bad idea. I was thinking about building a Laguna table and attaching it to the bed. Maybe it can fold away under the bed somehow. But on my most recent trip to Louisiana, I found I didn't really need a table at all. Instead, I sat on the floor and used the bed as a table. so now I'm not sure which way to go. At least I have fun thinking about it and talking about it.
Very nice! The Pacifica is a very nice minivan and drive. Love the S Package and with what looks like a trailer hitch, if more camping room is needed all you need to do is get any of the light teardrop campers, or small travel trailers! Good luck have fun and stay safe and healthy! I’ve always toyed with the idea of a van, ever since I owned a Chevy Express I bought new in 2005, for a business endeavor that didn’t quite work. But the van was great to drive. But I have a very adventurous spirit and if I ever were to do a camper/van, mine would have to be 4x4, with a slight lift of an inch or two. For the prices of the new vans the new Chevy Express is a great deal! Heck you can even get a powerful economical diesel, as GM only makes them in 2500 now. But to start with a passenger 2500 Chevy Diesel, with 4x4 conversion a price range of around 45k is possible as a start, that half the price of the new Mercedes diesel 4x4! With a lot more capacity for load and towing!
Through a cigarette outlet next to the sink. I'm just using the starter battery. But the fridge barely sips power and will shut off completely if the battery drops below a preset voltage. If I never start the car, this would take a week. But there's never a day I don't start the car.
@@VantasticPacifica Cool. (Pun intended. ) Have heard a few times now that the fridge uses the same amount of power as one headlight left on... Nice to hear you don't have any issues re: power. Want to get a Dometic, but that was my concern. Might run a 2nd battery anyway for boondock camping. 👍✌🇨🇦
@@SpiritoftheWoods863 There is a chance it'll use more power when the weather warms up but for now I just leave it on even at home. It's been running in the back of my car for 3 weeks. But I do drive it almost every day.

Fabulous build out. Love the blinds and sink/tank set up. Be blest☦️👩🏻🦳🐾
Thanks so much! 😊
you sir have a very sweet ride. For a family mover it is tops and a travel van bonus. well done .
Thank you, Mo! It's a super versatile vehicle!
This is a great reason to get a minivan! Move a lot of people. Nice a lot of gear. Convert it to a stealth camper. Excellent video! 👍
Thank you, Sir. That is exactly how I see it. Mini vans have more cargo area then the average pickup truck.
Vantastic Pacifica I’m actually considering my next vehicle to be a minivan for the same reason. Getting a cargo van, then building it out to be a camper seems to be impractical when I need it to be my daily driver. Just subscribed. Can’t wait to see your future videos 👍
@@MarkDouglasOutside Yep, you get it. While I love the space you get from a cargo van... I also need it to fit in my garge and be fuel efficient.
I rented this vehicle and all i can saw is WOW, what a perfect stealth vehicle with lots of room for one person or a couple. The seats in the rear ALL fold down:) LIMITLESS possibilities and you can fit a lugaloo too!
Versatility and roominess is what I love most about this van. I don't know what a lugaloo is but I'm sure it will fit!
Ok now you have to show us how you made the blinds, very nice.
Haha! Will do. Give me a couple weeks.
Vantastic Pacifica but seriously if you can patent its a great idea
You're kidding right! Patent first
You got it! th-cam.com/video/dOX3RtJd5us/w-d-xo.html

Fantastic Van !! very good ideas and the blinds were really nice. Happy travels, Stay Healthy and Safe :)
Thank you for the kind words.
That is one of the coolest minivan set ups I have seen! Very good use of space! Those mini blinds are awesome!
Glad you like them!
Bravo sir on the blinds and sink setup 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you. Thank you. (takes a bow) You're far too kind.

Very nice! I love your black on black color scheme.😍

Nice build... working on my own minivan and like your sink set up a lot.
Great! Not every idea works for everyone but I like it. There was some trial and error.
Your Shade system Rocks. I think the basement area is a great place for the water storage. Nice upgrades!
I think so too!
I would totally buy those custom blinds
I would have bought them too if somebody were selling them. I did not want to make them myself.
Very nice set up and those frames with the blinds amazing.
Thanks so much!
You made that van sweet as hell. I think you should Patent the blinds and sell them .👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks! I plan to do a video showing how I made them so anyone can make them. Maybe someone will improve on the design.
@@VantasticPacifica Yes! would really appreciate knowing how you constructed and attached blind frame. Also, how you installed bed frame. Thank you!
@@jtwanderer6328 A video on the blinds will be posted soon. But the bed frame is not attached to the car. It just fits really well.
I agree re blinds! Covering my windows has been such a pain. The layout is quite similar to mine, but your back organization has inspired me to reconfigure mine. Thanks!
Thank you so much for the kind words. It really does keep me going.
New Sub, we are converting our Grand Caravan into a weekend escape camper too! Love watching and getting ideas Thank You for sharing! - Bill :)
Awesome! Thank you! I look forward to your vids!
Very nice! I love the seat in the back. This is what I've been looking for. Perfect idea. The fridge opening from both sides is absolutely brilliant!!
Glad you like it!
Janky-ness & anywho all in 1 video. You are amazing!
Lmao! You're kill'n me!
@@VantasticPacifica nice and well thought setup Bravo
You should do a video on how you made those blinds great design 👌👍
Good luck and enjoy you journee

really amazing blinds, maybe you can have them patterned ,brilliant really, Ive never seen that and Ive watched tons of these van builds

@@VantasticPacifica well when I do get my mini van this is a keeper thanx so much
Thank you so much! I saw a vid where a company has a similar design. But it's only for Westfalia vans. Those are too easy to customize.

My gosh you did a great job on your build.. Love the sink and the blinds...
Thanks so much! 😊
You know, you might have a market for those blinds with people living full time in their vehicles...just an idea.

*You need to patent the design ASAP‼️*
@@CrystalVanner Before amazon comes out with "car shaders"
@@CrystalVanner You might be right.
I like the folding chair idea.
I got that idea from SUV RVing channel’s video about a $20 toilet
@@monicawilson896 I subscribe to that channel. I'm surprised I haven't seen that video.
LOVE those blinds!
Me too.
I've already made one…
th-cam.com/video/dOX3RtJd5us/w-d-xo.html
And recently, I've modified my camper configuration. Now the sink is doing double duty as an entertainment center. I would love to get your thoughts on it if you get some time…
th-cam.com/video/6KolJYlFnZ0/w-d-xo.html
Very nice build! Great job! Happy and Safe Trails.
Quick questions: No camp stove or toilet? Bet u can make them fit depending on the model.
Thank you very much! To answer your question, I don't do much camping. I created this vehicle with road trips in mind. I like to drive around the country and go home so I have no real need for a toilet or a stove. I'll never be too far from a Chipotle or Panda Express or KFC.
Great job on your van build. I love the simplicity, the clean lines. It seems like a very practical build.
Thanks!
I need those blinds in my life. Could you custom make them for a 2004 Toyota Sienna?
You did a really fantastic job!
Thank you so much for the compliments. I'm not sure how I feel about the black marble contact paper but definitely keep the ideas coming! :-)
Nifty stuff dude. Great job!
Appreciate it!

Okay, I'll see what I can do.
Good eye. It's is indeed a trailer hitch. I made sure this thing came with every possible option. The tow package also includes a beefier radiator.
How do you power your fridge?
