This how I treat chlorosis in my Very small gardens: take old metal like nails, bolts, wire (everything what can rust) and put it in a bucket of water near the plant. Each time water with this rusty water and put a fresh one into the bucket to water the next time.
It helps dramatically in my garden.
For bigger plants and bigger gardens: just nail into the ground rusting material or dig a hole near the plant and bury old rusty metal pieces.
I really appreciate the amount of work and love you put in your videos. I never tired to watch you. Thank you for the joy!

I had a similar issue like you have with your red maple by the gazebo. Upon replacing the plant yet again, I dug really deep to try to figure out why it was dying. We found a paint can lid that must have been covered with soil when finishing the house. We had one on each side of our front porch. One was thriving and the other died each time we replaced it. Yep! An old buried paint can lid. After that no problem.

Thanks for this tour, I was finally able to identify my oldest hydrangea as a Quickfire. When I planted it about 7 years ago I wasn't into gardening like I am now. I've added ninebark, limelight and bloomerang lilac to make a make an interesting hedge along the alley. Will be planting another hydrangea with heuchera and 2 more geraniums today along with a champlaign rose that is resisting the Japanese beetles. The weather has been too hot to garden but just started cooling off so I'm rushing to finish planting. The newest limelight- 2 months in has grown about 12 inches and has 12 blooms forming, the 2 planted last year look fantastic and I'm looking forward to seeing them next year.
Don't want to forget, you talked about coral berry last year on one of your videos, I found them at my local nursery last year, planted 2 and they are just covered with pink berries. Small but beautiful! Thanks for so much info on interesting plants and encouragement to organize and plant in groups. No longer a crazy lady running thru and grabbing 1 of anything that catches my eye.

I have three coralberry plants. They remind me of pink blueberry bushes (though these berries aren't for consumption). You may know this already, cut the plant back in early spring to about 12".
I picked up one on Clearance for $5!
Mine are spread around my back yard. One is adjacent to a Black Lace Elderberry, also newly planted. I can't wait to see them mature and play off the contrasting colors.

So lovely. Aaron...I’m on your side with the grass. Does not compliment the area at all. I can’t wait to see Benjamin eat those beans! How fun. Laura, your gardens are amazing. I can see all the love you put in each area, yet they all flow together too. God bless. Tfs. 👏🏻💕👏🏻

I used to plant supervena in containers too, but they got leggy and the blooms were smaller and far between. I experimented one year when I bought a flat of supervenas and had a few of them left that didn't fit in the containers so I put them in the ground in between my salvias, hardy geraniums and other perennials. Never going back to putting them in containers!

I agree with Aaron on the blue fescue, the fresh growth looks beautiful but the seed heads do make it look like its dying. I don't know if the beautiful blue is worth the brown look or not. It may be though if it only looks like that come fall.

Btw, I think this garden tour is the prettiest of all your gardens. Maybe it's because it's a large area that you planted that shows off your skills and personality. It's absolutely beautiful!

We are having the same issue with our Japanese maple. No idea why. Ontario, Canada. Your garden looks amazing. Maybe because of Covid but I’ve lost my garden inspiration. First time ever I have felt like this in 40 years. I watch you to get my inspiration back. 😢

I'm with Aaron on the blue fescue. To me, it detracts from the rest of your garden. On the maple, look for small round red structures that resemble tiny warts. This is a symptom of bladder galls that signal the presence of a small mite called Vasates quadripedes, a pest that commonly affects maple trees (Not my words, I looked it up)

Love the mix of perennials & annuals. It is amazing how Laura doesn’t have to stake her Foxglove & delphiniums! The Anna’s Magic balls look 👍....the corner one stands out against the rest of the plants. Looks like the one in full sun has a nicer “yellow” colour. Fescue grass - you could trim off the bloom stalks just before they dry out to maintain the blue colour. With those seed heads fescue grass does look “dead”...lol....Aaron! 🤩😍🌱

She's had plenty of delphinium and foxglove get barreled over by wind, especially on the west side of her house.
