    Hori Fightpad > Razor Raion > Fusion A.... Razor's face buttons are extremely sensitive, the d-pad has a nice clicky feeling. IMO this makes it a lot less forgiving than the Hori. You really have to input your moves precisely. I felt that you can get away with more on the Hori. Razor will make you a more precise player - but you have to retrain, if you are a sloppy player (read: me), to execute the commands cleanly.
    I've always favored doing certain moves on specific sides (bad habit! I know) but with the Razor Raion, I felt I was able to do combos from either side - however, it took me a long time to clean up my inputs.
    BTW - me testing has been on SF5, Shoto style characters (no charging). So I don't know what to say about the whole deadzone thing for charge characters.
    If you are a very dedicated player - this Fightpad is worth it. If you are just a casual player the Hori will do just fine!!! You're pretty much paying $60-$70 more for a headphone jack, and touchpad.
    Fusion A was a hit or miss for me. Like I said, I favor one side for certain moves, it was flipped using this control. The d-pad felt a little too floaty. But if you liked that style D-pad from years ago and miss it, this will be up your alley. It has a headphone jack too but no touchpad.

      I'm still using the Razor as my inputs are generally more precise. I didn't like the PowerA pad much. The face buttons were way too solid for fast inputs. I ended up giving it to my lil bro but i agree Madcatz or Hori for casuals and Razer for the more serious

      Thank you for your kind words. I've been mainly using the Madcatz fightpad pro which i believe you were involved in the development and also the development of this pad aswell. The Raion in a sense feels like the successor i've been waiting for! Keep up the amazing work!

      After long term use i'd recommend to pick this up if you can get it for £50 or less. It's not worth the £99.

      @@Zeus_Sama There is a 50% discount in my country. I am a student, so I would not be able to pay the full price anyway. The main reason of me checking reviews of this product was when I started playing Tekken a week ago and got a bit tilted at how inconsistent the downforward and downbackward inputs were with the original PS4 pad ( I checked my history input). In SF5 I can tolerate it, but not in Tekken, Tekken sometimes requires a timing that is way too strict.

    • @Zeus_Sama
      @Zeus_Sama  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@realquiller if your looking for a pad for Tekken specifically then the Hori FC might be a better pad for it. I'd say this one feels better suited for SFV and MK11. But the crazy inputs like wavedashing and korean backdashing will be more efficient on the Hori FC

    • @realquiller
      @realquiller 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Zeus_Sama I originally wanted Hori, but it is no longer available in my country, so... With the discount on Razer, it is quite easy now what to choose.

      That wss my gripe with the Hori FC amd Madcatz. They both work well but they dont last. I'd rather pay a little bit extra for durability and build quality. This pad trumps them both in pretty much every way imo

    Razer Raion Version 2

      They work quite well although im way out of practice on Tekken. Tried on my old fightpad and couldn't do the electrics consistently. It's nothing to do with the madcatz or razer pads its my own execution and being out of practice in tekken for like 8+ months

  • @Sasucat
    @Sasucat 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Unfortunately it's a pretty bad controller, it takes time to get use to it but at that point just get a fightstick (we really need that pivot)

    • @Zeus_Sama
      @Zeus_Sama  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should check out the vid i uploaded after this where i took it for a spin for matches. Worked really well for me. It takes some time to get used to because inputs need to be more accurate for this pad to work well for ppl. The hori and Madcatz pads are quite lenient with bad inputs. My inputs are generally quite clean anyway so this wasn't much of an issue for me

    • @Sasucat
      @Sasucat 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Zeus_Sama yea, I can agree with you on it takes time to get use to and you need to be precise with your presses but for someone who generally has a habit of holding down the dpad, it's just very hard to get out of that habit. I'll need to focus to actually do good with this controller and unfortunately I don't want to focus on the controller at all when bigger things are at stake, like the game. But to the people who are doing fine with it, more power to you, you manage to adjust to the controller very well, but just generally speaking, majority of fighting game player aren't use to something like this so adding a pivot would just be the icing on the cake. To me personally, it looks like it's trying to be a dpad fight stick.
