It was needlessly ambiguous on a detail that had no real bearing to the main story. Also the whole Batman vanishing act was so extra that it just made it even more needlessly mysterious. If there were some sort of payoff somewhere in the future then holy crap, major kudos to them but as it stands on its own, it's frustratingly pointless.

If it were, they would have stayed there for another few weeks so Jaune and his team could get their Pyrrha family arc while Ruby gets her time with Maria, but that would never work with how RWBY has to be made. They *had* to make her leave because keeping her around would require messing with the flow of the story.

As you guys guessed, their auras do help with heat and cold so they don't need to be as strict with clothing as normal civilians. It's not perfect or totally efficient, they can't just sunbath in -20 degrees, but it works. It also means less restrictive models and less models needed..... not that that would influence lore or anything....

😭 This just made me think, imagine Pyrrah wrote to her mum about her team and her mum could tell about her crush on Jaune. Or her mum offering help about it.
What I love about reactions is that I'm always learning new things about the shows I already love. Just now, I saw that the sequence with Pyrrha's statue isn't just about Jaune, or JNPR, or RWBY. It's about all of them trying, even if they don't believe they can win. They say it explicitly but I never really took in just how much this means overall.
And I'll always appreciate Lindsay Jones (Ruby) standing up for doing things your own way. As a young spirit herself, she probably enjoyed that line, and the delivery was scrumptious.

Instead he should honor her by fighting just like she did.

And unfortunately for her, Cinder ultimately treats her the same way she treats everything and everyone else: by using her until she is no longer useful. When the rest of JNPR arrived, she activated her semblance to bug out, lest she just completely lose it in front of them all.
The melody of the song during the Pyrrha sequence (Forever Fall) is actually Pyrrha's motif, first used in V1C2. It was a wonderful way to tie that moment together.
And in case some people haven't noticed/realized... we've been hearing the motif for the song since V1, pretty much every time Pyrrah & Juane had some kind of moment together. Makes it even more emotional on rewatches, I think.

Qrow's VA doesn't change til next season. It's pretty noticeable and i think his old voice sounds better, but im honestly glad they ditched him. Was never really comfortable with him in the cast once i saw his name in the credits of V3

Next season. It's really not hard to tell them apart, although there's a bit of a canon justification for the voice change (still minor spoilers at this point). The allegations against Vic were trash, though.

I still haven’t forgave this episode for just skipping over Oscar’s character development, it was similar to volume 4 with him coming to grips with his situation and deciding to go on a crazy journey off screen.
Ruby's speech at the end of this episode is just wrong. "Didn't need an adult to come save us." That's BS and you know. Ruby would have been envenomed by Tyrion's stinger and either died or have been taken to Salem if Qrow, an adult, hadn't shown up to save her. Yang would have been killed by Neo if her mom hadn't shown up to save her. It looks like kids can't take care of themselves after all.
The point about people using their auras to stay warm is a good one. In a later volume, I think it is Weiss who makes exactly this point, as RWBY are standing out on the frozen tundra. So, the answer is "yes", people can use their auras to stay warm. But the problem with using this theory to explain why so many people are so skimpily dressed in Argus is that I don't think that most people in Remnant have control of their auras. I think it is really just huntsmen and other trained people who gain access to auras, semblances, etc. Remember way back in volume 1, when Pyrrha had to unlock Jaune's aura using her own? So, they may have changed this point as the series went on, but if they stick to it, it doesn't answer the question. Personally, I suspect the people animating RWBY may not really understand what a truly cold environment is like. Either that or people in Argus just have an unnaturally high tolerance for the cold, or they are just slaves to fashion. I live in Canada and I can attest to that latter point - I see lots of young women walking around in halter tops and midriff-baring clothing even now, presumably because that is the current fashion. BTW, my personal theory is that Pyrrha's spirit really is still around - there are various clues to this that I won't get into, but this episode is a key piece of evidence.

Can't call Ironwood, long distance communication is down worldwide since the fall of Beacon. The sent him a letter at the beginning of the season, but also noted they would likely be in Atlas before the letter arrived. They tried to talk to the closest to Ironwood they could reach, and Cordovin slammed the door on them.
There's a joke that Oscar got the money for his new outfit by taking it from Qrow while he was passed out on the steps, as payback for being punched.

Ruby's speech at the end of this episode is just wrong. "Didn't need an adult to come save us." That's BS and you know. Ruby would have been envenomed by Tyrion's stinger and either died or have been taken to Salem if Qrow, an adult, hadn't shown up to save her.
Yang would have been killed by Neo if her mom hadn't shown up to save her.
It looks like kids can't take care of themselves after all.
The point about people using their auras to stay warm is a good one. In a later volume, I think it is Weiss who makes exactly this point, as RWBY are standing out on the frozen tundra. So, the answer is "yes", people can use their auras to stay warm. But the problem with using this theory to explain why so many people are so skimpily dressed in Argus is that I don't think that most people in Remnant have control of their auras. I think it is really just huntsmen and other trained people who gain access to auras, semblances, etc. Remember way back in volume 1, when Pyrrha had to unlock Jaune's aura using her own? So, they may have changed this point as the series went on, but if they stick to it, it doesn't answer the question. Personally, I suspect the people animating RWBY may not really understand what a truly cold environment is like. Either that or people in Argus just have an unnaturally high tolerance for the cold, or they are just slaves to fashion. I live in Canada and I can attest to that latter point - I see lots of young women walking around in halter tops and midriff-baring clothing even now, presumably because that is the current fashion. BTW, my personal theory is that Pyrrha's spirit really is still around - there are various clues to this that I won't get into, but this episode is a key piece of evidence.

@@decodelifehacker3446 After Qrow challenged Ruby to get to Haven, without adult help she planned and organized the mission, and RNJR left the island of Patch, crossed the continent of Sanus, and ocean, and most of the continent of Anima by themselves until Tyrian showed up, 180 to 240 DAYS of problem solving. Seems applicable to me.
@@jeffreysmith236 really because one is basically walking in a direction the other is stealing a plan while also trying to not get shot down or capture by a military power. the first 180 day they had no real big problems to solve.quality vs quantity

And what adult is going to help them? The adults are all in the way. And the military power is not all its cracked up to be, now is it?

I love how just days after barring a party member for lying, the team decides to rob the most powerful military in the story world instead of calling Ironwood to explain everything. This is why the team needed Pyrrha and Oz LOL
Can't call Ironwood, long distance communication is down worldwide since the fall of Beacon. The sent him a letter at the beginning of the season, but also noted they would likely be in Atlas before the letter arrived. They tried to talk to the closest to Ironwood they could reach, and Cordovin slammed the door on them.
