I see a lot of comments on approving and condemning the events in this episode. Whether Adam's Death was justified, if Cordovin was correct, why did RWBY rob a military plane and break a mech. Here's my opinions First up, Adam. All three of them had broken Auras, Blake and Yang had asked him to stop multiple time (and weren't really thinking of doing anything about him until he caught up with Blake), and he still tried to race Blake for the sword. This is definitely a self-defense type situation, and they had total rights to end him and freak out afterwards. I'd like to see some follow-up on the him (perhaps remnants of the White Fang, or something about SDC brand on his face), but his character arc ending here makes sense. We saw how he became a monster and we saw he had NO interest in redemption. If they do bring up the scar in the future, I expect it to be for Yang's character development (a sort of 'I might have hated him, but you were the one who started him on that path' type thing). Second, Cordovin. In my opinion, she a racist, elitist jerk. She thought Blake was of ill-repute because she was a Faunus. She repeatedly called them all ignorant since they weren't Atlasians. She only agreed to let Weiss through for the potential to impress Ironwood. And I suspect that she refused to even pass a message to General Ironwood about RWBY and co being in Argus (though that isn't shown, so it might have not occurred to anyone given how she treated them all anyway). Despite all that, her REAL and official mistake was using the mech to catch an airship and fight RNJR and co. Like Jaune said, that mech was built to fight Giant Grimm. What she should have done, and what RWBY and friends thought she would do, was mobilize airships to bring them all in. Worse, she likely caused the Grimm attack by scaring everyone in town (when she was incoherently screaming into the mic last episode). Her being a jerk is allowable, but misusing Military Resources is definitely a no-no. Lastly, RWBY and co's decision to steal an Atlas airship. Now, I do understand that stealing from the military is wrong. But, I also understand that they were carrying an object that every Grimm on the planet was drawn to and that Salem was looking for. One of four objects, that when combined, would summon the Gods and could end Remnant. They NEEDED to get that to a Vault. Them being stuck here likely also lead to the Grimm Invasion, since the Grimm that attacked them on the train also showed up in force. The fault for this wouldn't even be on RWBY and friends, because Ozpin didn't tell them about this until they were committed (and the train was destroyed). The aircraft in question was already planned to be away from Argus, and General Ironwood would be able to resolve the issue when they got to him. To sum up, this Grimm invasion and the mech getting busted is Cordovin's fault, RWBY did the best they could, and Adam had earned this several times over (though I wouldn't mind RWBY taking down whoever branded him).
Love this trio for RWBY! If you're talking about Vic, his voice change happened about one or two volumes ago-- i dont know if they changed it again 🤔-- ANYWAYS, SDC is the Schnee Dust Company blahblahblah. The release of this epsiode came out at the same time of Blake's VA was dealing with an abusive relationship, and it was a very powerful messge/storyline to FNDM. RT (more specifically CRWBY) has said that the whole "no body, no death" does not apply to Adam. Aparently Monty had planned 13 seasons, and the other writers are doing their best to finish it-- they took a pause because of Covid but there's RWBY Chibi. Can't wait for the next reaction!

Into shadows strayed, who'll see the light of day... nevermore." I like how you guys see the unfortunate nature of finality, even for our villains. I suppose if you know and remember at all times what SDC means and what the SDC does to faunus that was the majority of his exposition then and there. The fact that he was enslaved, branded, working for people who thought of him as nothing but dirt. People who believed he deserved it, just because he was born with bull horns. But I'm glad to see him go. A LOT of people weren't, but his story just wasn't going to end happily, his character couldn't look inwards on his flaws. And he was willing to kill others because of those flaws. Cinder is the same, but because we don't know her backstory we don't care. And she killed characters we liked, so we don't care what happens to her. If Adam killed Blake or Yang, then all sympathy for him would have washed away.
Even before any part of Cinder's backstory was revealed, I still cared about Cinder because I personally found her to be a cool and entertaining villain. I still do.

I personally really like Jason Liebrecht as the new voice of Qrow, because while Vic Mignona's voice was good, you couldn't really get into emotional moments because he just seemed to brood and be negative, but in 7 and 8 you really get his emotions front and center.

@@Sunshine-san Oh absolutely, I can't wait for them to watch what we have so they can see the changes themselves. 7 and 8 really made Qrow a character that you could relate to/understand. His talk with Ruby is the first real scene like that and even though it's only a couple minutes, it's deep enough in emotion that I don't think it would've been the same with Vic's voice.
Qrow caught Ren from falling off the robot, yes. And he also caught Ruby after she was ejected from the canon, with a little assist from Weiss and her multiple gravity glyphs to break/slow Ruby's fall and land safely in his arms. Weiss drops to the ground, exhausted.
Vic Mignogna Was recast because of Sexual Allegations but there was never a proper investigation and he was the one to file for a court case. Not going to speak to his guilt one way or another, if he did it he deserves a lot worse, if he didn't he's had his entire voice acting career and public life ruined. it's a complex situation and it should have been handled better but to my knowledge there has never been a proper investigation.
Their were alot of things during the case that weren't adding up when they question the person that voiced Bulma said he saved her the person that was question said that what the women was claiming had never happened their was a guy named rekieta I think who recorded the whole thing and even the husband of the accuser said things that contradicted the story. Though I'll say watching them mess up their stories and realizing and trying to back track was funny
@zirath ashe yea exactly I followed that whole thing to the end because I mean they paint him as this bad guy but he literally went out and defended cosplayers from religious freaks and it was even shown that it was people like chris sabat that were the real offenders. But since he was a head guy for the dbz funimation castings whatever he practically forced everyone to take bulmas side in the situation. I just find it hilarious how the one guy in the normies says one thing and everyone runs with it like look all the information that was revealed about the situation before you just start being like yea hes a bad guy.

When one of the writers was questioned about if Adam was truly dead he said that if he came back it would be in "a Darth Maul way". I'm glad you are liking Volume 6. It is the best of all of them. It also has the best Soundtrack. That's right, even better than Volume 4.
When I first watched this Chapter and saw Adam actually die here, i actually got stunned, i wasn’t expecting it at all, because nothing in this Volume ever made any kind of indication that this would be Adam’s last Volume, honestly I was kind of hoping that the rest Team RWBY would’ve at least had a chance to meet him before something like that were to happen, Now, the decision to kill off Adam in this Volume is something that i don’t really have any kind of opinions towards, i honestly don’t know what to feel about it, i just surprised by it, that’s all🤷🏻♂️.

For reference, Vic Mignona (Qrows VA) was fired from RWBY as a knee jerk reaction to allegations of sexual harassments that were never proven and I personally believe we're not commited. That's just my opinion but the dude is nothing but a nice guy, IIRC pretty much all the allegations of sexual harassment against fans were disputed by the fans in question and the allegations about his coworkers we're never substantiated and infact there was video proof of some of the Alleged "Incidents" where the coworker in question was shown responding fondly and engaging in vaguely sexual acts such as dancing closely with Vic and rubbing up on him as well. Again, this is all opinion really, I just hate that he gets a bad rap in these belated RWBY reactions.
Like I said before, Blake fights dumb in the last chapter so Yang can fight smart in this one... by doing the exact thing Blake should've done, which is just salt in the wound. Until now, I was miffed that Yang got the shakes in the middle of a combat situation - that's the only time it *doesn't* happen - but it turned out she'd been faking it the whole fight. Adam has been declared Definitely Dead, btw. Cordovan is entirely to blame for the grimm attack with the freakout, and freaking out the people of Argus to boot... eh? Boot? Eh?? *high fives Yang*

And they are not some kids, there are two licenced huntsmen among them so yeah she has every right to pursue the law and arrest everyone involved. There were a lot of problems that people had with this Chapter and i could understand where they were coming from, heck there were even one who gave a example for a better version of these last Chapters of Volume 6, and when I heard it, i kind of agreed that it did sound like a better conclusion for this Volume than what we got. However, i don’t really want to be here complaining about things that is pretty much too late to change, it’s just so frustrating to think about what could’ve been, but I would like to think optimistically for the future, hoping that the show will eventually pick up again, based on what I’ve heard anyway.
I love how you guys couldn't ignore that there was something blatantly wrong with how they ended Adam's character. Putting it very lightly, this decision was the most controversial one in the whole series, and I'm glad most of y'all didn't just eat it up and rejoice in Bumbleby like some of the fandom did. Honestly, its complicated. Its still up in the air. He might not have done anything to the two VAs that are accusing him but he had displayed (and admitted) actions that may or may not have made fan interactions uncomfortable. As much as we as humans want to see black and white binary of right and wrong, the whole case is grey. Vic and the VA ladies are all types of shady if you read the court records. There is whole reddit megathread if you want to read it. As it stands, nothing has been proven that he did anything that the two ladies accused him of. It is an ongoing case.
And this is my most hated episode, I hated this fight so much and just how dirty they did Adam, there is no way he should've lost, they just did it to appease the bumblebee fans it's so annoying.
I don't know, some match-ups like Jaune vs Cinder the outcome is obvious to everyone who's been paying attention, the difference in power and skill is too much. Yang and Blake 2v1 against Adam, I don't feel like that's a "no way he should have lost" scenario. At the very least, Yang beating the villain she got trounced by 3 seasons ago by employing the lessons she's since learned about patience and strategy is just classic shounen, or even just classic storytelling. I'm not saying that it's inspired or especially clever writing, but I see no reason to dismiss it as bumblebee pandering.

His talk with Ruby is the first real scene like that and even though it's only a couple minutes, it's deep enough in emotion that I don't think it would've been the same with Vic's voice.

Qrow caught Ren from falling off the robot, yes. And he also caught Ruby after she was ejected from the canon, with a little assist from Weiss and her multiple gravity glyphs to break/slow Ruby's fall and land safely in his arms. Weiss drops to the ground, exhausted.

Vic Mignogna Was recast because of Sexual Allegations but there was never a proper investigation and he was the one to file for a court case. Not going to speak to his guilt one way or another, if he did it he deserves a lot worse, if he didn't he's had his entire voice acting career and public life ruined. it's a complex situation and it should have been handled better but to my knowledge there has never been a proper investigation.
Their were alot of things during the case that weren't adding up when they question the person that voiced Bulma said he saved her the person that was question said that what the women was claiming had never happened their was a guy named rekieta I think who recorded the whole thing and even the husband of the accuser said things that contradicted the story. Though I'll say watching them mess up their stories and realizing and trying to back track was funny
@zirath ashe yea exactly I followed that whole thing to the end because I mean they paint him as this bad guy but he literally went out and defended cosplayers from religious freaks and it was even shown that it was people like chris sabat that were the real offenders. But since he was a head guy for the dbz funimation castings whatever he practically forced everyone to take bulmas side in the situation. I just find it hilarious how the one guy in the normies says one thing and everyone runs with it like look all the information that was revealed about the situation before you just start being like yea hes a bad guy.

I'm glad you are liking Volume 6. It is the best of all of them. It also has the best Soundtrack. That's right, even better than Volume 4.
When I first watched this Chapter and saw Adam actually die here, i actually got stunned, i wasn’t expecting it at all, because nothing in this Volume ever made any kind of indication that this would be Adam’s last Volume, honestly I was kind of hoping that the rest Team RWBY would’ve at least had a chance to meet him before something like that were to happen,
Now, the decision to kill off Adam in this Volume is something that i don’t really have any kind of opinions towards, i honestly don’t know what to feel about it, i just surprised by it, that’s all🤷🏻♂️.

For reference, Vic Mignona (Qrows VA) was fired from RWBY as a knee jerk reaction to allegations of sexual harassments that were never proven and I personally believe we're not commited. That's just my opinion but the dude is nothing but a nice guy, IIRC pretty much all the allegations of sexual harassment against fans were disputed by the fans in question and the allegations about his coworkers we're never substantiated and infact there was video proof of some of the Alleged "Incidents" where the coworker in question was shown responding fondly and engaging in vaguely sexual acts such as dancing closely with Vic and rubbing up on him as well. Again, this is all opinion really, I just hate that he gets a bad rap in these belated RWBY reactions.

Like I said before, Blake fights dumb in the last chapter so Yang can fight smart in this one... by doing the exact thing Blake should've done, which is just salt in the wound. Until now, I was miffed that Yang got the shakes in the middle of a combat situation - that's the only time it *doesn't* happen - but it turned out she'd been faking it the whole fight. Adam has been declared Definitely Dead, btw. Cordovan is entirely to blame for the grimm attack with the freakout, and freaking out the people of Argus to boot... eh? Boot? Eh?? *high fives Yang*

There were a lot of problems that people had with this Chapter and i could understand where they were coming from, heck there were even one who gave a example for a better version of these last Chapters of Volume 6, and when I heard it, i kind of agreed that it did sound like a better conclusion for this Volume than what we got.
However, i don’t really want to be here complaining about things that is pretty much too late to change, it’s just so frustrating to think about what could’ve been, but I would like to think optimistically for the future, hoping that the show will eventually pick up again, based on what I’ve heard anyway.

I love how you guys couldn't ignore that there was something blatantly wrong with how they ended Adam's character. Putting it very lightly, this decision was the most controversial one in the whole series, and I'm glad most of y'all didn't just eat it up and rejoice in Bumbleby like some of the fandom did.
And you'd *think* that at the very least they would give us more about Adam in later volumes after revealing his brand right? Yeah, that's certainly a logical and reasonable conclusion to come to..if only the show followed those two things.
Fortunately, this is the last time our cast will have to make a difficult, morally questionable decision in the middle of a tense situation where even the best course of action carries a heavy cost that will sharply divide the audience and make people get mad at the writing team.

I understand the Adam hate, but I don't appreciate the slander on my personal favorite character. They could've done so much more with him, even he is already cool as is. I mean for fucks sake, he has red hair with accents of black, his color theme is red and black, and his emblem is a fucking Wilting Rose. How much more can you? And even with the short, we still don't learn why he is the way he is.
Edit: SDC stands for Schnee Dust Company. And I guess that brand could be his motivation, but I can't see Adam being the type of person that would take such a directly personal slight and turn it into basically genocide. What I imagine as young Adam is an idealistic well-meaning kid with a life that is by no means perfect, but definitely livable. I think something had to happen to his family or others he cared about to make him the way he is-i guess was

Honestly, its complicated. Its still up in the air. He might not have done anything to the two VAs that are accusing him but he had displayed (and admitted) actions that may or may not have made fan interactions uncomfortable. As much as we as humans want to see black and white binary of right and wrong, the whole case is grey. Vic and the VA ladies are all types of shady if you read the court records. There is whole reddit megathread if you want to read it. As it stands, nothing has been proven that he did anything that the two ladies accused him of. It is an ongoing case.
He's not on trial, so his innocence isn't really relevant.

And this is my most hated episode, I hated this fight so much and just how dirty they did Adam, there is no way he should've lost, they just did it to appease the bumblebee fans it's so annoying.
I don't know, some match-ups like Jaune vs Cinder the outcome is obvious to everyone who's been paying attention, the difference in power and skill is too much. Yang and Blake 2v1 against Adam, I don't feel like that's a "no way he should have lost" scenario. At the very least, Yang beating the villain she got trounced by 3 seasons ago by employing the lessons she's since learned about patience and strategy is just classic shounen, or even just classic storytelling. I'm not saying that it's inspired or especially clever writing, but I see no reason to dismiss it as bumblebee pandering.
