    Just got done with mine on Wednesday, it’s a badass product with a badass owner. He will talk to you on the phone and walk you through any problems you have, he went over the whole wiring process to finally find cylinder 1&2 coil plugs swapped

    This set up is for the lt1/lt4 lovers but can’t find a local tuner or a decent tuner in another city so having this set up allows for you to get your lt1/lt4 engine tuned at the same spot all your Ls engine buddies get theirs tuned whole set up runs about a little over $1500 thanks rubbercitymotoring nice video

    JT, thanks for the nicely detailed video. I to am doing the Torquehead mod but with a
    twist. I am using the Holley HP EFI ECU computer with the same TH sensor set-up
    you have. So far, the computer, coils & crank sensor are installed. Everything is wired
    and just a few more unrelated items to do before firing the engine. I appreciate your
    videos. Please keep the coming as we both seem to have the same interests & ideas
    as far as the cars go. Regards, Ody

      That's the same setup I was looking to do. Also was looking at the Fitech with the Torqhead.

    Great video. I'm planning on going with the torqhead setup for my 97 Z28 and this is very helpful. I wasn't sure if I should take on this project but your vid has been helpful. Now just need to save a few extra bucks to purchase.

      Called the owner of Torquehead the other day. Hell of a nice guy ! Appreciate
      his input on his product very
      informative. Product definitely
      pays for itself. Super Chevy
      magazine should do a story on
      his ignition setup .the man deserves a beer .

    I'm planning to do the same thing your doing with my 94 formula. Like everyone else
    I considered going the LS
    motor install route. Until I
    saw this. I'M sold on it .it's
    a damn site easier and cheaper than retro fitting a L
    S motor .

      Once this corona virus crap goes away God willing .and I
      come out quarantine and go
      back to work I'm going to hunt down a decent 93-97 f body ,preferably a firebird formula auto or stick .get the
      Torquehead kit install it and
      hit the road smiling. As you know
      lt1 cars go for next to nothing
      And there quite a few nice drivers out there just ripe
      for the "picking".

      Just thinking .could I run the 97
      firebird instrument cluster in my 94formula with the Torquehead setup since it runs
      the 411 pcm ?

    There is zero videos on TH actually being driving, even on TH's page..there is start up/dyno time...but none driving and stopping and going.after all is said and done, can you put that camera in your SS and take us for a little cruise...I know its April, and weather is crazy...just if you get a chance....thanks for the videos, and your time...you are doing a fabulous job...TH should give you a discount on your unit....your video is my deciding factor for if I buy TH or not for my 95 Corvette

    • @RubberCityMotoring
      @RubberCityMotoring  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh I plan to do exactly what you’re saying. Once our weather gets nicer, I need to showcase the whole car really. I haven’t showed it driving in years. Just been working through bugs. Once it’s dialed in, you’ll see the vid.

    What do you do with the crankshaft position sensor? Did you just keep it on there?

    • @RubberCityMotoring
      @RubberCityMotoring  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      My engine did not have it - I had a '95 timing cover installed on my new engine and just don't run one now. If you did have a 96/97 LT1, it would stick around and still be down there.

      william dirden I’ve put an 383 in my 95 ss .576 .571 cam 58mm throttle body Camaro mass flow ported intake aluminum ported heads 1&3/4 hooker headers 30pound injectors ls lifters & I had brought an tuned computer from Pcm 4 less & I have really no power off the line & it will not stay running once I drive it it chokes so I put an yank 3600 stall on the tranny then an whole lot of power came but the tune is not on point so I plan on this nex the TH setup fuckit

      Well the upside is .you don't have to mess around with that
      optispark anymore.keep us posted on your progress. I'll
      probably will try for a Torquehead kit after the first of the year , when this plague is
      better dealt with.

    • @apdabeast15
      @apdabeast15 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The purpose of this setup is to get rid of the troublesome optispark distributors that come on the lt1 engines. Optispark distributors are a common failure point with most ignition systems in the impala/caprice, roadmaster, camaro, and corvettes.

    nice videos. but why dont you show how everything fits on a engine should have a motor on engine stand so that it can be seen and well light. now please remake the video in a clean shop with your logo in the background and one in the fore ground.. motor well light and where it can be seen not a motor in a car where the light is bad and difficult to see. Sir I am not trying to be bossy but help you make your product the best that it can be. you have a great product and it should be shown as such.

    • @RubberCityMotoring
      @RubberCityMotoring  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well the engine is in the car.... lighting isn’t too bad in my opinion and I apologize for not being totally clean.
      Most times it is but depending on the project and all that it fills up quickly.
