actually it is the owner's TH kit and he purchased it used. I just assembled this for the owner. I think he got if from a friend. I would look at LT1 groups in Facebook for sale.
The way I keep track of spacer or no spacer in my head is: If the car had a reluctor when it was stock then something needs to fill that space....so a 1996 does not need a spacer if the reluctor is already in there. But on a new engine build you may not have put that stock reluctor in there so then treat it like it does need a spacer. :)
@@EllweinEngines I can't pin point the problem.. I have new coils, wires, new maf, optispark, map sensor, scan master and what not. Still stalls out no matter what I do. Never had this issue until the ltcc kit.
Hoping to install this on my 95 Z28 winter 24/25. Your videos will definitely be a great tool to have for reference. Thank you sir. Awesome work
Thank you for taking the time to make your awesome videos, this TorQhead is an upgrade that I’m saving up for , your tips are definitely gonna help 😎
This set up is the way GM should have done in the first place. If my Opti Spark ever needs to be replaced, I'm going this route.
Great info!
Thanks
You said you got it used. Did you go through ebay Craigslist
ect ? I'm planning on getting the kit when money 💰 permits.

@@EllweinEngines thanks for replying.
Do they make a system similar to this for Gen 1 SBC's
No they do not. Unfortunately.
I have the Torqhead coils attached to my valve covers. Any body have any suggestions on adding breathes? Normal ones aren’t tall enough
I use little K&N breathers. They are not tall but they are small enough to fit between the coils.

i thought the 96 kit did not need the crank spacing shim? asking becasuse mine did not come with one. which is correct?

Had a shop do my kit and now it's throwing code p0336 crankshaft... So could it possibly be gapped wrong?
Yes. Most likely.
@@EllweinEngines thanks for the reply
@@EllweinEngines that's what I was think because they used 4 shims as well. From the last video of yours I watched you only used three.
I would like to know where I can find a used torque head kit hit it if you know where I can find one please let me know
Don't know...but try the facebook LT1 groups. LT1 Nation is good
With the lt1 putting it under boost what fuel pressure regulator you running
I don't know what my customers are using for boost. I don't know. sorry. My car is all natural and I use a stock style SLP fuel pressure regulator.
Ok thanks
I'm currently running a ltcc kit. Nothing but issues. How good is the torqhead?
really? I thought that ltcc was good. what are your issues Jarmal?
@@EllweinEngines stalling. Solid green light red flashes a few times then dies

and my idle is all over the place now
@@jarmaljackson2539 Well that is a pain in the butt. Does it have a 1994/1995 LT1 PCM or 1996?
