One thing you have to look at in Arnold's movies is that he never tried to act beyond his abilities and what was good for him. Here, playing the innocent giant and Danny DeVito playing the swindler. Think about it, Arnold never tried the sad, emotional, determined or oscar winning role. He played a killer robot. A secret agent. A commando. Here a big goofy brother. He acts for what fits him and we enjoy this movie because of it. I doubt Tom Hanks could have fit into this part.
Yeah, he's a much better actor than people give him credit for. I mean he's no Marlon Brando, but he's quite decent. I think much of the bad rap comes from the fact that many critics can't handle the fact that one person is so incredibly blessed in many ways. Sure if he wouldn't have the body he'd be just some supporting actor among tens of thousands. But his skills are decent enough and he's got great comedic timing. I never liked his politics (just lately when he stood up to Trump), but he just comes across as a decent and nice guy. I really like him as a man.
All of the "bad" movies Arnold was in I blame it on bad writing or directing, he was and is a very good actor, even at the age of 72 he has still got it
what I love about this scene (they didn't include it) is right before the clip starts, Julius sees someone who is super jacked and he just has this giant smile on his face like he's assuming he's his twin brother.
This is my favorite scene from this movie. Arnold is so damned adorable throughout the whole film, and Danny is just dripping with sarcasm. Perfect piece of cheese to while away a lazy afternoon.
+Kathryn Davidson yeah, arnold nicknamed "the austrian oak" seven time mr.olympian winner is adorable. I guess its the illusion danny devito makes in comparison. XD

This was the first film I ever watched with Arnold. There was a period in time when, if someone said his name, I wouldn’t think Terminator, Predator or Commando, I would think Julius from Twins
This movie's one of the great subtle comedies, the kind that revolved around realisitic, charmingly-delivered dialogue in inherently amusing situations. There's something endlessly rewatchable about these guys and every little line and reaction as they work the situation out, even in scenes like this with no huge stunts, gross-outs or sledgehammer punchlines.
Props to this movie/film for not using one & the same actor to portray the pair of characters who are Twins of each other! Hollywood should really do that way more often, look-alike or not!
He looked like the kid that blackmails Larry David from Curb and the kid from Royal Tennebaums. Did some research, but they're supposedly not related. They look so identical that it's uncanny to the point of the younger one being a clone.
