  • After showing up to his Vince's (Danny DeVito) workplace, Julius (Arnold Schwarzenegger) comes to the rescue when he sees his brother being beaten up by a scummy debt collector.
    Twins (1988): Superstars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito team up for twice the laughs in this hilarious box-office blockbuster from director Ivan Reitman (Ghostbusters). An ambitious genetic experiment takes the wrong turn when two twins - who look nothing alike - are born and then separated. Years later, the unlikely siblings meet: Julius, a highly educated but sheltered giant with a big heart, and Vincent, a pint-sized hustler with an insatiable lust for women and money. With girlfriends in tow and a hitman on their tail, the newfound brothers set off on a wild, cross-country misadventure to find their mother - but end up finding out more about themselves.

      Actors are paid accordingly to what the market can bear. What that does is reduce the budgets of a film's departments and compromise the overall quality of the film, which isn't right. Can't blame the actors though. Blame the producers for agreeing to pay the ridiculous demands made by people who play make believe for a living. If there is a minimum wage in the industry, then so should there be a maximum wage by putting actors on a salary cap. If no producers agree to pay the millions, then the actors will have no choice than to take a pay cut-that is, if they still want to be an actor in the movie business.

      @@PhantomFilmAustralia I hear you but I read James Cameron told Arnold not to take anything less than 30 mill for Terminator 3 and that just made me wake up..read lots ABOUT Arnold and he really didn't struggle in fact, it's the opposite..also him and his buddy sly Stallone give autographs for lots of money and that is truly disgusting... actually lots of these celebs do it for hundreds of bucks..it's sad especially you pay their salaries when you buy a ticket and buy their DVDs ETC..i saw in a TH-cam video that punk Tom Holland getting pictures taking with pathetic fans and these people actually pay him hundreds of dollars for it..that's crazy.minwoukd never do that or even approach them in anyway..and he was so cocky and the way he pointed his hand towards his fan and giving him his handshake etc was such an act i was like WHY???...

    • @PhantomFilmAustralia
      @PhantomFilmAustralia หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@gregggorypecs2370 You're right about James Cameron, though he was rather bitter at the time as he didn't retain the rights for Terminator, and wanted to end the series after T2. Since studios pay through the nose for stars, James told Arnold to do a sequel if a ridiculous demand was fulfilled. It was...and that's the problem. Giving in to an actor will just perpetuate the trend of who is the highest paid for the year, giving them license to thump their egos along with their chests.
      The other problem is giving the actors the impression that they hold more credence or importance than they actually do. I understand that their image is bound with their intellectual property, though extorting people for a photograph is rather rich, considering these people are already fans, and have spent their hard-earned dollars on tickets and merchandise.
      The one saving grace is Twitter. It has single-handedly exposed actors in an unprecedented way by cutting out the middle man. The golden age where we held and revered actors in high regard is coming to an end. Twitter has eliminated an actor's damage control implemented by the spin doctors and publicists, as now actors can correspond directly, unfiltered, and unfettered to the public, blatantly displaying how truly tone-deaf and stupid they really are.
