Having the height variation on the rectangle sail certainly makes it look nicer. Unfortunately my garden is not level so im going to have to do some guess work with the height. This video was helpful though thanks
How do I apply tension to the hypar twist to remove sag in middle? Is there a certain process? It seems my sail does not have enough curve on sides to get proper tension?
That is where the "art" of install comes in. We have a number of videos on you tube that "should" answer your question. However, if you are needing a more detailed explanation, feel free to call in. Sorry for the lengthy delay in response.
We generally apply a 1 to 5 ratio for height variation. 1' of vertical height difference for every 5' of horizontal travel. That is a loose guideline, but it tends to work pretty well in most situations.

Q) in my backyard, I would be using a rectangular sail connected at 2 points on my brick wall and 2 points on my fence posts (about 6 ft each) if I use a 15ft sail, what geometry do you recommend
That is difficult to answer in this format. I would first point you to the website. Every one of our standard shade sail sizes has an install guide that will give you an attachment point layout. I would start there.
I would like to buy posts from you business. How do I do that? Also, what should I search for to find a business that’s willing to install the posts? I’m having a difficult time searching for a business to do this. Thank you
Best way to purchase posts is to call in and order over the phone. (check our website for contact info). Because freight is involved, we don't process steel orders online. As to install, anyone from a handyman to general contractor would be a good get. Thanks!
I was watching for 4 sided sail.. many thanks !!!!

@@tenshon8627 Thanks, the first sail I received was garbage and made incorrectly. When I received a second sail installation was easy.
Hello, I am wanting to Install 3-18 ft. Triangles with the correct height variations. Do you have any designs on how to accomplish this correctly?
Well the 37 frame has been debunked so you tell me, shall I open the umbrella more?
Hi, I want to install a 3 m x 4 m Shade sail. What should be the height variation?Thanks
The 3m length will have opposing mounts 0.6m apart. The 4m length will have them 0.8m apart. (20% of the span length)
