Honestly you just gotta wonder how a genre geared towards boys can have this sort of relationship, like the hetero elements were only added in as damage control when the real passion was writing these two.
not surprised actually. a lot of war & mecha anime hide deeply homoerotic roots since war/military is one of 4 places men are most likely to "experiment." So yea its geared towards boys but to the ones who pick hobbies/careers that tend to exclude women
@@EnigmaBL well I mean, they also had a school element to the anime which is typically that one important phase of life especially in Japan for budding romance and relationships. So it would beg to differ they'd go full on hetero given that standard setting, so props for sticking to their guns.

Vanitas seem like a much honest person when he is with Noe, and I think they would have much healthier relationship. I'm really interested what do you think about~

It's been a while since I watched this anime and it was so good(except Haruto's death). Then I found another one with a ship like this(with hidden bl subtext) in another mecha anime. Aldnoah Zero. And both of these had great mxm ships that didn't or couldn't happen because of stupid 'plot reasons'. They go to all kind of lengths to bait us then keep them away from each other, seriously. So frustrating. And then another one... Owari no Seraph. This three animes are all the same 'male leads are bait and not canon' trick. Give me my hopes and dreams back! Do you know how much I cried over L-Elf and Haruto, Inaho and Slaine... I didn't cry over Mika and Yuu yet thank you... I'd like to keep my hope for them.
It's not really bait tho. It's all the BL the creators were allowed to include. Oh and I'm up to date on Owari no Seraph manga. It's canon. I'm doing an episode on aldnoah zero too now that my heart has healed
