This is delightful. It flows so natural, warm, stylish and tasty. It seems to me that this was exactly the way Fernando Sor played...even with this sound! I never enjoyed Sor's music as much as with this performance. Wonderful job!
A wonderful performance of the Sor studies. I appreciate the fact that it was played and recorded in the frequency of that period which was 432 Hz. Really brings out the romantic harmonic tones. Sounds ok in standard 440 tuning, but it looses that warmth and melodic harmony.

Hi Liza. Fernando Sor is a fundamental piece in the development of the classical guitar. He lived more in the romantic era, but composed more in the classical era style. Himself was a guitar virtuoso, and composed for the guitar, that is une of the reasons his music sounds so natural. The "Lessons" or "Estudios" are mandatory for all the guitar beginners, he also composed complicated music.
For those who are not aware, Sor didn't regard any of these pieces as qualifying for his definition of being studies. He was quite adamant about the differences in intent between Studies, lessons, exercises, method (and progressive pieces). You can read his definitions in his method. Opus 6 and 29 are the only sets (not heard here) that he published under the title of studies.

If you want to play Classical Guitar, you have to play all of Fernando Sor's Etudes and all his compositions. There's no way around it. If fact, all of the "founding fathers" including Carulli and Giuliani and the rest. The Great Grandfather of all, of course, is Francisco Tarrega.
Have to agree with you on your first sentence. What more could one want to learn to play. But to me the Great Grand Pa of your list would be Carulli. Such melodic simplicity at times and perfect manners with everything that he wrote that has come down to us given that he was not a product of what was later to be called romantic music.
A study in B minor one of Sor's most famous and of course most gorgeous. This collection is amazing and the guitarist does absolute credit to the everlasting beauty of Sors remarkable music.
The Trick to the etudes is the rest stroke and the right-hand ponticello voicing and dynamics, did I just say that? Thank you for posting these essential studies.
Exercises are a weak description for these extremely beautiful pearls of guitaristic musical artistry from Maestro Sor and the masterful interpretation of the guitarist .Bravo .
For Sor they were studies , for me most of them are supreme in their musical beauty and elegance , but this is only my opinion , I feel the same toward Villa Lobos studies .
I think Andres Segovia considered Fernando Sor to be the best of the composers for guitar when Segovia began building his earliest repertoire. Excellent taste, no?

In Bminor. I believe I recall that was Julian Bream's favourite too. It is exquisite.
Indeed the most beautiful piece of an outstanding compilation!!
A study in B minor one of Sor's most famous and of course most gorgeous. This collection is amazing and the guitarist does absolute credit to the everlasting beauty of Sors remarkable music.
Not wrong
These are lessons of such ancient music perspective. Amazing..
Classical guitar is always a joy to listen to.
Cuanto recuerdo!!!!

@@matteusmaximofelisberto4385 I've tried some pieces of Op. 2, 8, 31,35 60 44 so far.
Sor!!! El Beethoven de la guitarra!! Es único.
Beautiful! Thank you.
You're welcome!
Magnífica iniciativa. Parabéns por compartilhar.

This is my type of guitar sound.....You're really amazing Thanks a lot!!!I love your music list.;)
Thank You for this is a real treat.!
The Trick to the etudes is the rest stroke and the right-hand ponticello voicing and dynamics, did I just say that? Thank you for posting these essential studies.
Bellas obras del maestro Fernando Sor.
I like your channel a lot
Thank you for uploading this sir!
ENEA LEONE
The excellent performer should be prominently credited in the notes!
True !
Their name is literally on the screen the entire time. There's no doubt who is playing.

Excellent toe and execution; I just ordered the CD from Amazon.
Thank you for a posting. Peace. in this crazy world.
Son muy buenos estudios. Estoy aprendiendo a tocarllos.
Hermoso concepto, Gracias
They are really good exercises for anyone who love to play the guitar.
Exercises are a weak description for these extremely beautiful pearls of guitaristic musical artistry from Maestro Sor and the masterful interpretation of the guitarist .Bravo .
@@christianrenault195 Then why did Sor call them "Etudes" ?
For Sor they were studies , for me most of them are supreme in their musical beauty and elegance , but this is only my opinion , I feel the same toward Villa Lobos studies .
@@christianrenault195 Studies can take in many different form of expressions and techniques.
Exquisite lessons.❤️
Fantastic. Clears the mind up a bit
Buenísimo! 👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you very much for sharing these 🙏🙏🙏
Lovely, calming, swaying & sweet 🌟
Fantastic sounds. Thanks. :)
I think Andres Segovia considered Fernando Sor to be the best of the composers for guitar when Segovia began building his earliest repertoire. Excellent taste, no?
👍 👍👍👍👍
Best kinda music for falling asleep to
