This game was in my local pizzeria. I remember I would go in with $2 get a slice of pizza for $1.25, a .50 cent tropical fantasy soda and use my spare quarter to play this game. Nostalgia at it's finest.
@@YaowBucketHEAD Jake was a great performer. And he had taken a lot of bumps. Dished out quite a few too. And he definitely was on a course for self destruction. But it takes a strong person to realize that they are in denial and get help. Jake turned around his life before it was too late. Many great wrestlers didn't get that help and died young.
@@peanut_butter_falcon iPhone is pretty restrictive with emulators man, I play this on Android with the MAME app. This, Final Fight and a few Neo Geo games.
@@ukhorrorscene1987 yes I did reply to the above comment, for some reason my comment got removed. iPhones are too restrictive, I use Mame on Android. Usually play this game, as well as Final fight and a few Neo Geo games.
This game seriously needs a port to all consoles. Maybe a remastering too. Every playable character had their signature moves & personalities. Plus it’s freakin multiplayer too!!! I remember loads of quarters used playing with my friends when I was a kid.
I used to play it in the arcade, I was 11/12 years old, I loved and love this game, I remember that I even sweated because of the effort, I gave it my all XD They should remake this game, modernize it a bit, add a few more modes and it would be perfect, the graphics are still great after 30 years
Kinda hilarious that this game allowed pins in a Royal Rumble and the tag titles could change hands on a count out :D Definitely a classic though. It was near the front of the arcade I frequented and always stood out for the huge character sprites.
It’s 2024 and WWE haven’t been able to produce a classic hit like this, that remake never came close and the 2K games are just personally boring. This game was just about perfection. The only two things I would have added was a singles run (or king of the ring), and change Sgt Slaughters finisher to the actual Cobra Clutch not a what we got.
The only addition i would have liked to have seen was the inclusion of Macho Man Randy Savage. I heard he had retired just before they made the game and then came back shortly after. What a pity.
@@ValiantWrestlingundertaker wasnt in wwf at this time he was mean mark in wcw when this hit the arcade n bret was jus a mid card tag partner in the heart foundation
Ive been saying they should do there 2k game with there modern rosters and a seperate one for the old school wrestlers.. that'll help these games become less buggy
I had too many tag team combinations: Hogan/Warrior Hogan/MDM Warrior/ MDM Warrior/quake MDM/Quake aka mega bucks 2.0 BBM/Warrior BBM/Quake BBM/MDM BBM/Hulk

Wow.. upon revisiting this game it's really depressing seeing how many of those legends are now gone.
Yes Animal and Hawk are gone, Earthquake, Warrior, Big Boss Man. Hogan is still alive and going strong at 71.💪
@@lastninjalongplays Ted Dibiase is still alive too.
@@lastninjalongplaysJake Roberts is alive as well.
@the_sixxness somehow.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he's alive, but the way he was living there for a good while, any normal man would have perished.

This was literally the best wrestling game in the arcades this and Saturday night slam masters were the two most amazing games ever…
I used to love playing this game at 7-Eleven when I was a young boy
growing up...with the amount of quarters i spent playing this game at my local arcade, i could buy a house.
I still play this game occasionally on my phone. One of the best wrestling games out there.
Please tell me how I get this on my iPhone. One of my favourite games as a kid. Many thanks in advance! 😉

I'm guessing you use a MAME emulator?

I remember playing this game along with its prequel WWF Superstars in the arcades. Those games were so much fun in the late 80’s and early 90’s 😊
The BEST roster ever
Damn fucking rights

I played it in High school during my junior senior year after school in a pool hall
Me too!

Not only pins in the royal rumble but submission moves too in the rumble
Along with WCW vs Nwo revenge best wrestling game ever!
WWF NO MERCY AS WELL! But yes i agree

I would've included Undertaker & Bret Hart personally.

Damn I played the hell out of this game back in 1991-1992. My team was ALWAYS Warrior and Perfect.
That was fun, thanks.
I was all over this game when I was young... From Jake's DDT to the Perfect plex... Too dope they need this for the series X frfr
How do you do the special moves
Warrior and hogan I would always choose

That's! On nice Smartphone game 2.
I always found it weird how they didn't include Randy Savage in this as he was still very prominent with WWF.
That was a clinic
It's ridiculous how bad I want this arcade cabinet in my house.
I loved the legion of doom when i was a lad
7 out of the 12 are gone.
