This is a bittersweet moment of absolutely adoring this gem of an arcade game that I've never heard about it in my entire life, and also loving every second of watching this. This would've eaten up coins in any spot that I remember going to, it's actually an extremely balanced game...what a tragedy for such a wonderful piece of art to be lost to the depths of TH-cam
I really enjoyed this one back in the day! Between the Harlem Hit Man and the Bronx Bruiser, my hometown of New York City was very well represented! I guess when I try this one again, I'll make sure not to waste my points on Stamina! :). Thanks for the great video, some close exciting matches there!
Of course especially at the time they came out arcades had the most powerful hardware and systems and the home console market was behind in technology the y were just supposed to be convenient downgraded home options and ports to the arcade but that ended up changing but everything was about fun and meeting people back then
I remember playing this game when I was ten sitting on my uncle Joe’s lap. I called him pantsless Joe because he always took his pants off when mom wasn’t around… good on uncle pantsless Joe. RIP.
Never heard of this game. I would have loved this back in the day
Me neither
I played it once in a arcade in England. It was amazing
Same
When I was down to my last 20 cents, this was the game I played at my local arcade in Grey Lynn, Auckland.
Memories :)
"Whoa!"
That's some good ol' Konami arcade music.
Very good graphics for 1988!
Superly impressive
Agreed, it looked like a 16 bit game. Impressive for 1988.
Agreed that's what I was thinking
And sound too. Arcade games were always ahead of consoles back then.
This was a great game.

I want to see Jabbin' Jim go up against Big Mac. That would be so cool!
At least the trainers not topping the boxers off between rounds like the Ring King league.
😅😅😅
As a kid I use to 😂 over that scene
This is strangely entertaining! Kind of addictive viewing. And the thumbnail..... Hitting below the belt?!
Iron Drago…
I see what you did there. Lol
Giving him red trunks would've been too obvious. 😅
0:37 🤯 Woah!! 🥜💥🤛
I felt bad for him and he's not even real

This was one of my favorite games in my youth! I played this at the arcade often.
Weird you can't choose a black boxer. I always found that strange.
I love that typical arcade Konami music
Whether its arcade or the NES, Konami always made great music!
@@edwardgaines6561When I said Arcade, I meant arcade type of games. Turtles in time and so many others sounds alike
This game looks INSANE!!
I miss the going to the arcade on a Friday night and seeing a new game to spend 40 quarters on.
Just got the game….part of the Arcade Archives on PS!!! 🥳
And Switch!
I've never seen this game and '88 is when I was running around arcades as a little brat kid.
I need this game it looks GREAT.

Mad Mongol just got his abs liquified.
From 2:35 to 2:46 damn you kicked his AZZ. Lol
This game only came to my town as a kid, when the fun fair came.
I completely forgot about this game.
Omg 😱 I forgot about this game
The ring mat impregnated, balls to the face training, thumbnail....classic! 😂😂😂
Anyone notice how the referee/announcer is the same voice as The Main Event, an arcade wrestling game?
The ladies call me “Jabbin Jim”…. #AYYOOO
微かな記憶で再生しました。懐かしい当時全然クリアできなかった1ゲーム100円は子供には高い
2Pインサートになっているのは横に座らせて対戦させるスタイルなのかな
That Last Boxing Match Was An Epic Fight! I Didn't Know Who Was Going To Win! LOL! Awesome Video, Yo! (o^.^)-b
Don’t know how I missed this one in the arcade.
This jabbing Jim Rocky Balboa Sagat.
A yr b4 I was born never heard of it but looks good
Ahhh, the 80s boxing. Most heavy weight boxing matches didn't go past the first round.
Oh wow who imagined the final boss would be someone who looked like Mike
I don't remember this one at all. I definitely would have wasted some quarters on this as a kid.
Thumbnail 😂😂
He reaching w that one 🤦🏽♂️😂

Never seen this! Didn’t TMNT come out around the same time?
Second opponent - Red Falco? From Contra?
Wasn't it the vile Red Falcon?
30 lives
He looks kinda like Aran Ryan from Punch-out
Te hace falta más Box 🥊
- Sylvester Stallone -
Arcade games have more detailed graphics than the home consoles.
Of course especially at the time they came out arcades had the most powerful hardware and systems and the home console market was behind in technology the y were just supposed to be convenient downgraded home options and ports to the arcade but that ended up changing but everything was about fun and meeting people back then
Mad Mongrel was no match for 2 dozen punches right to the groin
That low blow though 😅
Hit the balls!
Epic low blows in this game😂😂😂
So many cameras outside the ring? Where is the dang commission 🤔😂
Omg I love this game and never played it 🎉
*”WHOA!”*
Mad mongrel got laid out 😮😮😮😮
JABBIN JIM…THE GREAT WHITE DOPE!
Adriaaaaaane !
😂😂
Similar to Rocky on the Sega Master System
I remember playing this game when I was ten sitting on my uncle Joe’s lap. I called him pantsless Joe because he always took his pants off when mom wasn’t around… good on uncle pantsless Joe. RIP.
I guess it would have been problematic if he was named "Jammin' Jib"
I would say the limits of naming were pushed with SNES's punch out with Gabby Jay. You see, they couldn't name him Jabby Gay.
It's like the qa dept. A Konami didn't turn up for this game. Loved the old Japanese credits. Designers ●■dog! ♡♤jim
I assume black talion was supposed to be Mike Tyson
Iron Drago 🤣
The first guy Knockout Nick looks like Jesse Lee Peterson
Was this on any home consoles
You can get this on the Switch in Arcade achives

할렘 히트맨 카운터펀치 날릴때나 기상할때 낄낄대면서 일어나네 😂
This game seems sped up. Probably not supposed to be played at 60 fps.
ローブロー打ってない?
sali de ahi maravilla jajaja
boo for skipping the victory scenes
Unlicensed game of ashita no joe?
More like an unlicensed game of Rocky.
@@KenMasters. The intro look like a Joe sequence
Wait was this in the 8 bit NES?
No, it was an Arcade game. You can get it on the Switch
