I’m Pilipino and I work here Saudi Arabia and this is my second home . Very beautiful country so much peace and I love the culture and traditions 🥰🥰🇵🇭🇸🇦 love from Philippines.
Welcome to your second country, and I hope you live a good life. Saudi Arabia, as Saudis, loves and welcomes all races, colors and religions. Not everyone is good, but in general, we are a friendly people and we love the Philippines 🇵🇭💚🇸🇦
My most favourite country. I love the culture, its people and my Saudi brothers. Never had a bad experience when i worked there. Still hoping to be given the opportunity to work back in the Kingdom. I miss all my Saudi brothers. A Filipino now living in Australia ❤️❤️❤️
My Hometown. Yes, you can see the striking difference between the North and South Jeddah. The government is now working on to remove slums, build better living societies and improve the living standards. Jeddah is the gateway to Makkah and is famous for welcoming millions of Muslims from different parts of the world. In 70s , people used to come on Hajj (pilgrimage) on Ships which would dock on Jeddah harbor. I am glad that you raised the issue of stray cats. And the removal of slums have actually left a lot of them in bad shape. Because they used to live inside those streets and people used to fed them which have now left. I am sure that people are working on this and your video will raise awareness and will push more people to come together to rescue these cats and provide them shelter.
It was nice having you guys, Jeddah has certainly more to offer than this, but I hope you enjoyed your trip! As for the stray cats, yes it’s a really huge problem in all of Saudi Arabia and no one seems to care about it. There are a few youth-driven charity campaigns in Jeddah & Riyadh that rescue stray cats & dogs who are in a very rugh shape and try to find a home for them, they also started a campaign called (foster, dont buy) in order to stop supporting cruel pet shops, but there is only so much they can do💔 Also we unfortunately don’t have the culture of (animal shelters) + people rather buying fancy rugdoll cats from pet shops than fostering local cats in need. But I hope this will change eventually. The most heartbreaking thing is that you sometimes see those fancy cats got abandoned in the streets after their families got bored of the responsibility 💔 they can’t survive street life like the cats that have been born stray. I’m a Saudi 19 year old girl, and my dream to achieve when I have enugh money is to start building animal shelters all around my country so bo more animals could suffer. Wish me luck!
Welcome to my country and thank you for covering your trip authentically! In minute 9:50 when the guy hands you out Miswak, he tells you a quote by the prophet: "cleanses the mouth, and pleases the god". It's a common phrase people say about the wooden stick. It IS indeed strange seeing you getting excited about things that are totally mundane to me. Everyone here has a "Persian rug" in the back of their car ready for any picnic. You missed out on desert camping in Riyadh "Kashta", we bring our Persian rugs, make a campfire and cook Kabsa, our national dish, on a pressure pot. People take their cars and drift on sand dunes. The desert has endless golden sands, no rocks, nothing, completely flat. The sand is soft and light so you can walk barefoot. Dust blocks most of sun rays, so you can see the edges of the sun, a clear circle, as it disappears in the horizon. It's so beautiful, please come back again to experience it!
As a Saudi who was born / raised in Jeddah, it has a lot more to offer really, but I agree with you on when it comes to Stray cats. It’s a huge issue in this city, not everyone is familiar with the idea of adoption or animal shelters. However it is fair to note that there some Local shelters created by locals and animal lovers supported by the government. They just need to raise their voice more on this issue. and I hope it becomes the norm in the near future. Thank you for being objective and honest yet still very kind and respectful. It’s refreshing to get honest opinions from different angles instead of just polished compliments that doesn’t help us to grow and create a better place for our next generations. It was a pleasure to have you here 🤍 I hope I get to meet you both one day 🙏🏻
Hey Oskar and Dan, well you certainly did not disappoint as you have given a most refreshingly snapshot of modern Medina and Jeddah. I was last here as a teenager in 1984 coming for the Haj with my parents and to see how OPEN it's become it's extraordinary. My father and I both watched this (he's almost 91) and he remarked how modernized the two cities were in 1984 compared when he first came in 1960! He sends his salaams and says lucky you! Thank you for uploading!
@@OskarandDan There must be a first cause, which is the Creator It is impossible for nothing to produce anything God must have existed before creation And it must be one, since there is only one will, the cause of everything Where everything is created He must have a will, since creater He must have complete knowledge since He created everything He must have full power as he created everything the creation must be out of Creator Let me give you an example (of course I do not liken myself to God Almighty, but for the sake of clarification) If I made an invention, for example, a television Am I going to say it came out of nowhere? Of course not, or I say it does not have a creator, the creator is the inventor Will I be a part of it? of course not Do I have a will when I made TV Will I be fully aware of this TV? Yes Is my strength in the moment of the television industry superior to the television (if we do not take the factor of time) (because God is outside time because time and space are created) Yes Will the Creator create creatures that have a nature and a different creation from the rest of creation (animals) (1 freedom of choice 2 consciousness 3 language 4 mathematics) Of course, the four virtues of Islam are part of the instinct that God created in man And He taught Adam all the names, then showed them to the angels, and said, Inform me of the names of these men. ♦ The surah and verse number: Surat Al-Baqarah (31). name = أسماء Names mean languages, information, etc It is the instinct that God has placed in human Surah At-Tur verse 36 Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators?[And] have they created the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no certainty of anything![How could they?] Are thy Sustainer’s treasures with them? Or are they in charge [of destiny]?Or have they a ladder by which they could [ascend to ultimate truths and] listen [to what is beyond the reach of human perception]? Let, then, any of them who have listened [to it] produce a manifest proof [of his knowledge]! The universe cannot create itself, as if you say that my mother gave birth to herself. This is illogical. Where there is a point of not having it and not having children, so this is stupidity to say that nothing produces anything You cannot find evidence for it (for example, mathematics cannot prove that 1 + 1 = 2 has no evidence, but we believe that it is true and certain without evidence Likewise, language. Why does man have language and not like animals, just voices of anger and distress, etc.? A riddle, and we have no evidence for the existence of language. You cannot prove that language is real. You cannot prove consciousness. You can't prove that you are real and exist, not just a dream or illusions as well as the rest) That is why humans are different from other creatures Therefore, these four qualities must have a reason and a judgment For example, the choice So we choose to believe or not to believe in God Language so that there is communication and knowledge of the existence of God etc (As well as the build the earth and make it better *) Therefore, these four characteristics must have a reason It's not just a blank who created the Creator I will simplify an old philosophical principle for you. If I asked you for an Apple and you said to me, I will give you. If the one phiend me gives me, then the one who behind behind me ....... to infinity (Infinity), will the Apple reach me? No, of course, as well as the universe and everything (the universe and everything) (exist) so there is an end and a final cause we are the product of the first cause so this cuts off the end of the causes do you have proof that your seventh grandfather exists? did you meet him How did you conclude that he exists? Maybe he came out of nowhere (nothing) You will say of course not, this is nonsense. No mind accepts it. you will follow the logic that says that every accident has a cause Likewise, did the universe come from nothing, or is Allah is the creator? Now I have explained to you the Creator with logic and reason away from any religion But there is a gap. Did God create us and give us the four distinct qualities without benefit? of course not This gives the attribute of inferiority (Glory be to God Almighty). God is perfect The Messengers sent to every nation prophets, As Allah said in the Qur'an . and the last of them was Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace Is there a religion other than Islam that does not contradict logical arguments? There is no The religions and philosophies of Central and East Asia The Creator is present in all creatures This is logically wrong Christianity (There are 3 gods and at the same time they are one and this is a contradiction) The Creator regrets creation The Creator did not know the harvest season Doesn't know when the hour . The Creator put a rainbow beside him so that he remembers not to drown the world in a flood. But he drowned them anyway . God is the creator of the world, how can he be ignorant of something? He is the creator of everything, he must possess the knowledge of everything etc We Muslims use Allah, not God Because "God " is giving meaning that he is male This is wrong there nothing like Him Allah Almighty
@@omar...4250 if everything has a cause, then God must be caused too. If God doesnt have a cause, then the principle that everything has a cause is wrong. Either there is an infinite regress of causes or there is a first cause. In either case, its just simpler to assume that there is no middle men (who is indeed explanatorily reduntant)
@@laplacesdemon82 he never said everything has a cause. he said god is the first cause. an infinite regress is logically impossible because you cannot have an infinitely precedent set causes for you to exist and still be able to exist. classic example: if you asked me for a water bottle, and i said that i'll have to get permission from the person next to me before i give it, then that person says he needs permission from the person next to him, and this goes on ad infinitum, you would never get the bottle. the first cause is what we call god. this first cause necessarily needs to have certain characteristics for it to be able to be a first cause. one is power, or capability. this first cause has to have the ability to actually get the chain of causation moving. the second is will, or agency. this first cause has to choose to originate other things, because if it did so through compulsion, we would have to ask what compels it to do so. this would imply there is a prior agent to this creator, and therefore this creator wouldn't really be the first cause. so the first cause had the power to create the universe, and had the will to choose to create it. this is the most coherent and rational worldview when it comes to creation, as the others abound with logical fallacies. this first cause that is the creator has other characteristics, but those are more easily derived from scripture rather than pure reason. we have evidence that the quran comes from a supernatural source and therefore is a reliable authority of metaphysics and theology. i can prove that the quran cannot be the words of the humans, but that is a different discussion. you can come to the conclusion that god must exist and have certain characteristics even without the quran, bible, torah, etc
I suggest you go to the rest of the Southwest parts of Saudi Arabia, Taif, Albaha, Asir (especially Abha, rijal almaa and namas), Najran, Jizan (especially the Mountains of Faifa and its villages), There are many historical sites and beautiful natural scenery which is semi tropical.
The quality and content of your videos are beyond. Im shocked of how good Oskar arabic is. As well as your knowledge ! To classy men exploring and educating the world that people are people.
I am from Jeddah, but I’m in the USA rn , I would be happy to give you a tour there one day. Anyway the reason cats are a lot in Albalad area is because of the surrounding areas that have been demolished, so all cats in that areas have left it looking for food. Jeddah is a great city where it gathers people from all over the world. I’m kinda sad you guys had to leave early and really spend longer time in Jeddah. Hopefully one day. Thank you.
Habibi we can’t hide the fact no one care about these cats it’s not only in Albalad it’s everywhere in Jeddah and cross the country !! ! Some municipal workers are poisoning them like in Riyadh, Makkah and other cities! We need protection to these animals

Love how grounded your videos are, not too critical, not too positive, just putting things as they are out there. Too bad you didn't get to go to Asir region, I'm Saudi and for me personally it's the best part of the country, snorkeling in the red sea especially in Tabuk would've been great as well as you would never get any water as clear as the red sea. As for the stray cats, it breaks my heart every single day. If you're ever in Riyadh again let me know I'd love to have a catch with you guys
Dear Oskar and Dan, I am so grateful for your videos on Saudi Arabia. I am considering a job at a school there and it was great to see the country instead of just reading about it. You two are my new go-to for travel videos.
when Dan tried to eat the "Siwak" 9:35 I laughed so hard. We use this in Saudi Arabia to clean our mouths during the day when we are out because the prophet (peace be upon him) recommended it.
You are more than welcome in our country. And let me please clarify something. As long as you won't cause harm to any one and your intention is good, you can enter the Prophet's Mosque (al-masjid an nabawi) even if you're non-Muslim. And what is happening in Jeddah is renovation work for some neighborhoods because of the 2030 vision, so in the coming years we'll see great work in Jeddah. And I hope you had an amazing experience here in Saudi Arabia. Stay safe and see you around the world😃👍❤
Regarding what you mentioned at the end about the slums, unorganized, and full of undesirable scenery, I want to make it clear to you that it is because of illegal labor and immigrants. The government is making a great effort to reform and develop it
The hotel in which you stayed in is one of the nearest hotels to the Holy Haram, hence it's expensive. It has nothing to do with facilities or luxury, just the proximity and yes, the room view. Makkah and Madinah are mostly spiritual cities rather than touristic, hence non Muslim tourists will have limited things to do in the proximity of the Haram, unlike the other places in Saudi Arabia. Thank you for the amazing videos and thank you for beautifully picturing Saudi Arabia! Greetings from Bahrain! (Saudi's tiny neighbour).
Being a Muslim from the UK, I have been to Saudi Arabia 5 times (obviously for Hajj and Umrah) but visited Riyadh and Jeddah too. Jeddah is really nice especially along the Corniche. I have travelled to more than 30-odd countries myself and yes I have visited some stunning places/tourist sites/cities/landscapes/tropical beaches/waterfalls/deserts/religious sites but when it comes to spirituality, Makkah and Madinah is always in my heart and yes I have been to many stunning and some of the biggest masjids around the world
As someone who lives in Jeddah, i’m saddened by your unfortunate experience of the city. Hopefully one day you’ll come back here and experience the culture to the fullest. ❤️
I feel I have visited Saudii Arabia after watching your videos. Thank you for the wonderful glimpse of the mosque in Medina. Really really enjoyed watching your coverage of Saudi Arabia and have now subscribed to your channel.Excited to travel the world now through your videos
In 2021, Saudi Arabia launched an ambitious project to breathe new life into the historic part of Jeddah city. The aim is to redevelop the living space in the city to attract new business and cultural projects, and make it a key destination for aspiring entrepreneurs. Historic Jeddah, the area known as Al-Balad, has more than 600 traditional buildings, 36 historical mosques and five major historical markets. It also holds ancient corridors, squares and sites of important historical significance, including the old waterfront. It stands on a major route for pilgrims that will be reconstructed as part of the project, to tell visitors the story of pilgrimage since the dawn of Islam. The five-kilometer waterfront will be redeveloped, with green spaces and open gardens. The project takes into account Jeddah’s heritage as a major focal point for people, trade and culture since its foundation in the third century BC as a fishing settlement. It was established as a major seaport during the era of Caliph Othman bin Affan. Jeddah has since grown and developed outside the walls of the old city, until Al-Balad became eligible for registration as a UNESCO world heritage site in 2014. Jeddah is currently undergoing a significant facelift to remove slums and undeveloped neighborhoods.
In my city Jeddah, like many cities of the Kingdom, there are a lot of workers and a lot of people who do not have a residence permit and those who come illegally, have been in groups for dozens of years, and this is one of the reasons for re-establishing the city of Jeddah, it is really painful to see those stray cats in this condition, but there are many Individuals try to help her and provide the surplus food in an attempt to save as much as they can, but their numbers are really huge! I wish Jeddah and my entire kingdom to become a better country and indeed we are striving for that with Vision 2030. hope u enjoyed here 🤍!
I agree with you about the animals we need to build shelters for them we have so many stray cats and it's impossible to take care of them. I have tried to help some cats and adopt them..hope things will change
What a stunning production w fascinating insights into a Kingdom that is still a mystery to most of the world. You’ve captured the country where profound change meets a remarkably welcome culture. May the future bring life to the aspirations of all Saudi people and their visitors from around the world.
Generosity is in Saudi people not because of the small number of tourists but because they are so generous.. trust me I am saudi and if you are still in jeddah welcome to my home.. 😊
I was unhappy when he said that! We care about generosity because the god is (The Generous) so we been generous to other people, not because anything besides that.
@@Eyad_A hummm honestly we take our good attributes from god anyways as humans, so I dont think he is wrong in this.. bad attributes are from us and evil.
Hiii ..21:57 The demolished buildings are old and may fall, and the Saudis do not live in them, but the irregular foreigners who came for Hajj and did not return to their countries, so the government decided to rebuild the place. - I love u both and support your channel🤍
Al Balad is a historical old site in Jeddah. The Saudi people themselves don’t live there - it’s old, run down and looks “poor”. However the rest of Jeddah is actually the opposite especially the western and northern areas. Also Jeddah is probably the most liberal city in Saudi and has many “underground” scenes, and great private beaches.
Happy you guys went there and really loved seeing your experience as outsiders. SA does get 15M Hajj travellers/pilgrims every year (17M in 2019) so scaling that up to 100M should not be a problem.
It sounds like 9 days in Saudi was about all the time you need to see some of the major cities and attractions/landmarks. KAUST looked so cool and I had no idea there was an expat population out there, too! Not gonna lie, I was jealous of all the dates at the grocery store! I'm sorry the rental car saga continued into drop off. Here's hoping that some of the issues that you experienced will be remedied in the future. I guess there will always be some growing pains when it comes to building up tourism.Loved seeing this country through your lens and I hope to visit one day! Travel safe, friends!
@@Tyrionhessen No matter how much you try to tarnish the reputation of Saudi Arabia and the reputation of Islam, you will not succeed in that, knowing that your opinion and your words do not matter to us. Put it in the trash.
There's still more to see in Saudi Arabia. 9 days is good but not enough if you really want to visit most of the beautiful locations like Hail, Tabuk, Taif, Jizan
Nice vlog guys. There is an ambitious project to renovate the whole district "Al Balad". This district is located in the south of Jeddah and all of its surrounding neighborhoods are considered old/rusty. The more north you go the fancier and cleaner the city is. There are many sides and things to do in Jeddah, I think one day there wasn't enough. 🤷♂️
Just watching this one and I was so emotional - I am a huge cat lover and I know the pair of you love all animals - it must have broken your hearts not to be able to do anything for them - I love your videos - please carry on with the travels xx
I really love this blog. I don't think I would ever visit as a woman but it give a vision of what the country looks like. I must say that it's a lot better than the vision I have from all the medias.

Awesome vlog, Medina looks amazing, the people seem so friendly too. Hopefully the problem with stray cats in Jeddah can be remedied by a non-profit as more attention is brought to it, well done! 👏
Yeah the cats in that specific location depended on the slums because the people there used to feed them. i remember seeing people on tiktok making videos telling people to pick them up from that place, but I guess they couldn't save them all. I would help some of those cats if I was in Jeddah :( I wish I can find the video again but there was a huge amount of cats there, it could pass as a city of cats. Never saw that many in one place.
staying in saudi arabia and stepping in gum is part of the fun .... almost everyone i know who lived here have stepped on gum more then once .... but beside that i hope u guys enjoyed your stay here.
9:51 He quotes a saying of the prophet " السواك مطهرة للفم مرضاةٌ للرب" Which means “"The Miswak (tooth-stick) cleanses and purifies the mouth and pleases the lord”
Hello! Thank you for visiting my hometown of Jeddah! The demolished areas are an effort by the government to modernize Jeddah and whatnot and to better develope the area Also since Al-ballad is very old the buildings have to be constantly reinforced and rebuilt , otherwise they’d collapse . So a lot of the more “run down “ side of Al-ballad is just lacking the reinforcements . If you come back in 2023 they would’ve finished renovating it again and a lot of the place is better Also yes we have a cat problem , I hope we can fix it but a lot of the people who used to live in the ”slum” areas used to feed and take care of the cats but not since they are demolished the cats aren’t cared for as much
the Saudi's are nice not because of the low tourist traffic but rather because of the values and teachings of Islam where Muslims are taught to be kind and helping with travelers as Allah rewards them for that.
Hello, you guys are more than welcome in Saudi Arabia and i thank you for your visit. The reason why that neighborhood turned down is because it is irregular layout district and the people who lived there violated the residence system. Anyways, those people most of them are poor and from other countries came by ships from the seas and the are not permitted. Therefore, you can expect why that place was dirty and the government few months ago started to clean up their mess and send them back to their countries and turned the neighborhood down in order to rebuild it and make it modern.
I enjoyed seeing all the cats walking around Jeddah. This reminds of a friend of mine back in the USA here where I live that use to live in a house and he took in many stray cats and kept them as pets. Friend would have from 10 to 15 cats in his house here.
Wow what an amazing video! You really outdid yourself Oskar. But oh the look on Dan’s face when he saw the dead cats.😭 That’s truly heartbreaking and a huge problem. Can’t wait for your next adventure!❤️👍✈️
1:08 Oskar told he loves desert landscape, in India there is a place called Ladakh and Leh, it is a desert which has snowfall and is also the most beautiful place India
Wow very interesting trip. You did such a fabulous job in presentation. Growing up I had heard stories from my dad’s former airline cargo colleague (also Swedish) who worked for Saudi Air. Westerners living in closed communities, the male/female separation, clothing restrictions, judicial system etc. Things have certainly begun to change, with some glitches you mentioned. However what strikes me most is the open, friendly and warmth at the person to person level. With so much ugliness generated between people, it was a refreshing change. My only regret is to see so many fast food western chains.
Guys you gotta came to Bahrain 🇧🇭 , it’s actually next to Saudi Arabia and we can go by our cars , Bahrain is similar to UAE and we have bunch of vegan restaurants 😂 , I will be glad to give you guys a tour 🥰
15:17 You meantioned that this far from what you have imagined about grocery stores but however I disagree with that most cities in Saudi Arabia have danobe and tamimi market or other grocery stores of that magnitude. Like Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar, Dammam, Mecca,Medina and Yanbu.
I am happy with your visit to Saudi Arabia. Cities change every month. The country I promise you that your second visit will be happier as well. All preparations for the cities will be completed in 2030, but now there is a radical change. There is also authenticity and countryside in the mountainous areas.
My bf is living in Jeddah now teaching so I was curious and watched your vlog. I’m glad I did. I loved how you showed the contrast between the good and the bad side of the place. Good luck guys and keep coming up with an awesome content.
as a saudi vegan, I have never actually eaten in a vegan restaurants before, first they don’t exist where i live cuz i live in the southern part of saudi, but even if they existed they would be hella expensive, i just buy from my local falafel stores there are so yummy i advise you guys to try them next time you visit us :)
Hey Oskar and Dan, I live in Saudi Arabia and I’m Saudi Arabian. I’m also part of the royal family Al Saud. I know a lot about the kingdom so i strongly recommend you guys come to Riyadh (the capital). It is in my opinion the best city in Saudi Arabia. Thank You, Kind regards Saud Al Saud.
You did good in Madina yet you missed a lot of historical sites such as the Hijaz Railway Station which was disabled during WWI. You missed the remains of Khaybar village including big ancient forts which was inhabited by the Jewish people of Madina. If there is a city where you need a local guide in Saudi it should be Jeddah due to the activities and historical locations which can’t be done or understood unless you meet locals. In Jeddah you missed snorkeling and diving in Bayada “The Great Coral Reef”. You missed the sandy beaches and mangrove sites. You only visited the old Cornish which is not comparable to the new Cornish and the magical Palastain Street with the tallest fountain in the world. You missed the hipster streets in AlRawdah, you missed really amazing neighborhoods and fantastic “live music “coffee shops where locals love to hangout to. You went to the historical district without a tour guide , what a mistake! Everywhere you walked was screaming history, you were standing in front of Nassif house with its 400 rooms and just in front of it was the tree of life which is older than the discovery of the Americas and also the remains of cannons from the Portuguese ships that attacked Jeddah. You missed the newly discovered remains of the biggest fort in the Red Sea region built during The Crusaders to protect Jeddah from the European attacks. As for the cat situation, you should know that many volunteers are driving every single day to move the cats from the location of the demolished slums to different part of the city. Locals do feed the cats but it will take time to contain the issue as the demolition was really fast. Those slums were mostly inhabited by illegal immigrants from Africa and some Asian countries and lots of drugs and human trafficking chains were discovered and luckily broken after the demolition. You needed more time in Jeddah with a local guide to answer all your questions and take you to the right places 😉. Give the city a chance and revisit with a different prospective, you will love it 😊.
Welcome to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia I wish you a pleasant stay in my country ................... about Medina I am almost sure that there is no law that prevents non-Muslims from entering Medina or even the mosque The ban is only in Makkah
This is so interesting. Thanks for going there and showing what's available right now. I'll likely head there in couple years time to visit so this is a good introduction to this formerly closed country.
21:50 talking about the cats scattered in the AL balad. Jeddah is currently through a demolition campaign for slums, some of which are close to ALbalad , so all the cats from these places have moved to the nearest place, wich is AL balad And the collection of neighborhoods witnessing demolition is located in the south of the city of jeddah

As for the stray cats, yes it’s a really huge problem in all of Saudi Arabia and no one seems to care about it. There are a few youth-driven charity campaigns in Jeddah & Riyadh that rescue stray cats & dogs who are in a very rugh shape and try to find a home for them, they also started a campaign called (foster, dont buy) in order to stop supporting cruel pet shops, but there is only so much they can do💔
Also we unfortunately don’t have the culture of (animal shelters) + people rather buying fancy rugdoll cats from pet shops than fostering local cats in need.

We can start a crowdfund campaign and build a group to do so. I am sure a lot of people will chip in.

Omg I’m so proud ,with people like you we will definitely make this country better ❤️.
As a Saudi who was born / raised in Jeddah, it has a lot more to offer really,
but I agree with you on when it comes to Stray cats.
It was a pleasure to have you here 🤍 I hope I get to meet you both one day 🙏🏻
I want to visit Saudi.
Wow, that is truly spectacular! Thank you so much Yahya, send our regards to father Hussein!🙏
@@OskarandDan Thank you kindly both I will. (I am New York born and based so it’s nice to see that Dan has his NY side too)
@@OskarandDan There must be a first cause, which is the Creator
It is impossible for nothing to produce anything
God must have existed before creation
And it must be one, since there is only one will, the cause of everything
Where everything is created
He must have a will, since creater
He must have complete knowledge since He created everything
He must have full power as he created everything
the creation must be out of Creator
Let me give you an example (of course I do not liken myself to God Almighty, but for the sake of clarification)
If I made an invention, for example, a television
Am I going to say it came out of nowhere? Of course not, or I say it does not have a creator, the creator is the inventor
Will I be a part of it? of course not
Do I have a will when I made TV
Will I be fully aware of this TV? Yes
Is my strength in the moment of the television industry superior to the television (if we do not take the factor of time) (because God is outside time because time and space are created)
Yes
Will the Creator create creatures that have a nature and a different creation from the rest of creation (animals) (1 freedom of choice 2 consciousness 3 language 4 mathematics)
Of course, the four virtues of Islam are part of the instinct that God created in man
And He taught Adam all the names, then showed them to the angels, and said, Inform me of the names of these men.
♦ The surah and verse number: Surat Al-Baqarah (31).
name = أسماء
Names mean languages, information, etc
It is the instinct that God has placed in human
Surah At-Tur verse 36
Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators?[And] have they created the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no certainty of anything![How could they?] Are thy Sustainer’s treasures with them? Or are they in charge [of destiny]?Or have they a ladder by which they could [ascend to ultimate truths and] listen [to what is beyond the reach of human perception]? Let, then, any of them who have listened [to it] produce a manifest proof [of his knowledge]!
The universe cannot create itself, as if you say that my mother gave birth to herself. This is illogical. Where there is a point of not having it and not having children, so this is stupidity to say that nothing produces anything
You cannot find evidence for it (for example, mathematics cannot prove that 1 + 1 = 2 has no evidence, but we believe that it is true and certain without evidence
Likewise, language.
Why does man have language and not like animals, just voices of anger and distress, etc.? A riddle, and we have no evidence for the existence of language. You cannot prove that language is real. You cannot prove consciousness. You can't prove that you are real and exist, not just a dream or illusions
as well as the rest)
That is why humans are different from other creatures
Therefore, these four qualities must have a reason and a judgment
For example, the choice
So we choose to believe or not to believe in God
Language so that there is communication and knowledge of the existence of God
etc
(As well as the build the earth and make it better *)
Therefore, these four characteristics must have a reason
It's not just a blank
who created the Creator
I will simplify an old philosophical principle for you. If I asked you for an Apple and you said to me, I will give you. If the one phiend me gives me, then the one who behind behind me ....... to infinity (Infinity), will the Apple reach me?
No, of course, as well as the universe and everything (the universe and everything) (exist) so there is an end and a final cause we are the product of the first cause so this cuts off the end of the causes
do you have proof that your seventh grandfather exists?
did you meet him
How did you conclude that he exists?
Maybe he came out of nowhere (nothing)
You will say of course not, this is nonsense. No mind accepts it.
you will follow the logic that says that every accident has a cause
Likewise, did the universe come from nothing, or is Allah is the creator?
Now I have explained to you the Creator with logic and reason
away from any religion
But there is a gap. Did God create us and give us the four distinct qualities without benefit?
of course not
This gives the attribute of inferiority (Glory be to God Almighty).
God is perfect
The Messengers sent to every nation prophets,
As Allah said in the Qur'an .
and the last of them was Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace
Is there a religion other than Islam that does not contradict logical arguments?
There is no
The religions and philosophies of Central and East Asia
The Creator is present in all creatures
This is logically wrong
Christianity
(There are 3 gods and at the same time they are one and this is a contradiction)
The Creator regrets creation
The Creator did not know the harvest season
Doesn't know when the hour .
The Creator put a rainbow beside him so that he remembers not to drown the world in a flood. But he drowned them anyway .
God is the creator of the world, how can he be ignorant of something?
He is the creator of everything, he must possess the knowledge of everything
etc
We Muslims use Allah, not God
Because "God " is giving meaning that he is male
This is wrong
there nothing like Him
Allah Almighty

Hi Rae
I can’t believe I saw Oskar and Dan visit my home town!I haven’t been there since 2016 so it’s amazing to see Jeddah again 😊
Thank you.

We appreciate this comment a lot, thanks Ghada!🙏
Dear Oskar and Dan, I am so grateful for your videos on Saudi Arabia. I am considering a job at a school there and it was great to see the country instead of just reading about it. You two are my new go-to for travel videos.

As a Muslim i always dream of going to Saudi Arabia. Right now its not possible but thanks to you guys. Love from Bangladesh 🤍

when Dan tried to eat the "Siwak" 9:35 I laughed so hard.

Hello! Thank you for visiting my hometown of Jeddah! The demolished areas are an effort by the government to modernize Jeddah and whatnot and to better develope the area
Also since Al-ballad is very old the buildings have to be constantly reinforced and rebuilt , otherwise they’d collapse . So a lot of the more “run down “ side of Al-ballad is just lacking the reinforcements . If you come back in 2023 they would’ve finished renovating it again and a lot of the place is better
Also yes we have a cat problem , I hope we can fix it but a lot of the people who used to live in the ”slum” areas used to feed and take care of the cats but not since they are demolished the cats aren’t cared for as much

the Saudi's are nice not because of the low tourist traffic but rather because of the values and teachings of Islam where Muslims are taught to be kind and helping with travelers as Allah rewards them for that.

Thank you so much Howard🙏 We really appreciate that, truly.
@@OskarandDan If you visit the kingdom of Saudi Arabia again you should visit Taif and Jizan and Abha and finally the south of Saudi Arabia
as a saudi vegan, I have never actually eaten in a vegan restaurants before, first they don’t exist where i live cuz i live in the southern part of saudi, but even if they existed they would be hella expensive, i just buy from my local falafel stores there are so yummy i advise you guys to try them next time you visit us :)
You should start a vegan restaurant!😉🌱
Just got a new massive 4K TV. The picture quality of these vlogs is amazing.
😍🙌
Thank you for being respectful. Hopefully you can get inside as Muslims one day.
There is many many many beautiful places you didn’t visit in jeddah like the swimming beach or aqua park or stadiums or malls which is so beautiful
للاسف كلامه في اخر الفيديو صحيح اننا غير مستعدين ب اننا نكون بلد سياحية يبغالنا وقت
Loved all the videos in this series... Especially Hasan taking you around..... Best wishes.... Keep these videos coming....
Great video Guys, Shouldve included Al Taif Region and Abha City in your Travel List. 💐💐💐
Notes to remember for their next visit. Oskar and Daniel are still only 24 and will, no doubt, be back soon!
The great place to visit the big tour days!! Look camping with your great experience... 🎉👍❤️
Thank You,
Kind regards Saud Al Saud.
Thanks for watching! Our first Saudi video is from Riyadh😊
Prove it😉
You did good in Madina yet you missed a lot of historical sites such as the Hijaz Railway Station which was disabled during WWI.
بيض الله وجهك كفيت ووفيت🤍
Welcome to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
I wish you a pleasant stay in my country
...................
about Medina
I am almost sure that there is no law that prevents non-Muslims from entering Medina or even the mosque
The ban is only in Makkah
Really fascinating experiences you have shared Oscar and Dan. I can't believe the landscapes! The food looked good also.
I hope you are happy in my country.
Welcome to Saudi Arabia❤️🇸🇦
This is so interesting. Thanks for going there and showing what's available right now. I'll likely head there in couple years time to visit so this is a good introduction to this formerly closed country.
It’s definitely better if you wait at least 5 years, I guarantee you it’ll be a much better experience 👍🏻. (BTW im saudi)
🙌

talking about the cats scattered in the AL balad.
Jeddah is currently through a demolition campaign for slums, some of which are close to ALbalad , so all the cats from these places have moved to the nearest place, wich is AL balad
And the collection of neighborhoods witnessing demolition is located in the south of the city of jeddah
SO happy you guys enjoyed KAUST, I spent 3 years on the construction of it.
Oh wow!! That's so cool😄
Incredible!! I never expected to see KAUST on here! I'm studying in the US through them and my plan is to go back for grad school there!
