Emma, this is so helpful especially when putting in all those hours to make a blanket … the last thing is having it unravel after a wash !! Thank you ❤
You’re the first YT tutorial showing sewing one direction only. I have watched countless crochet tutorials where they sew the ends different directions. Does it make a difference??
It can be more secure if you sew it in the different directions as it’s harder for the yarn to work its way back out. I’ve never experienced a blanket coming undone from sewing in one direction only however, and it will also depend on the type of stitch - with smaller stitches like this one it can be hard to sew in different directions without it looking bulky/messy ☺️
Thank you for this. I try to catch the end as I turn it around to go to the next row while I’m creating the item. Is there a down side to doing it as I described? (I will be finishing my current project in the manner that you’ve described !)

You’re welcome! I always worry about them coming apart in the wash - it’s never happened to me yet and now I really hope I’m not tempting fate 😄
I always double back to make sure the ends are trapped and don't come loose in the wash. I love your blanket. Such a lovely mix of colours.
Thank you ☺️
You’re so kind to help☺️ I really appreciate this video. I hope you have a great weekend!

I don't crochet but I like the look of the stitch in your blanket. Does the stitch have a right and wrong side?
No, it’s the same on both sides ☺️
Where is the tutorial of this blanket. I am not sure that I found the right one. Is it the one called podcast!
