  • We headed to the Malibu canyons to test Sailun’s ERange tires, the first EV-specific tires from Saliun. They’re quiet, grabby and have lower rolling resistance to deliver more range.

Motorweek is an automotive program that gives buyers a good idea of what to purchase when considering a vehicle. The way they cover electric vehicles reads more like what we know as a commercial because MotorWeek knows their stuff, and they know that the people who buy EVs are impulsive morons who have already made up their mind on what they want to buy so they write their coverage to reflect that.
Don't worry, though. We won't all be driving those stupid deathtraps, the automotive industry is about to realize its more profitable for them to mass produce kits and newly assembled replicas of vintage cars that are exactly the same as the originals that can be attainable by everyone and customizable to anyone and everyones' needs than it ever could be to force electric on everyone.
Worried about fuel? There's plenty of research about alternatives that not only function the same as fossil fuel gasoline in the exact same engines but are better for the environment and more efficiently produced on large scales.
That's the truth, so relax and watch the world find out too. Then you can tell your pals you knew it before everyone else.

"more grip" "stickier tires" means its a softer compound then a comparable tire. Longer range would be a harder compound tire, so which one is it? Not to mention either the tires were sized incorrectly for the car and are not wide enough or they are made this way be design to have a smaller contact patch with less rolling resistance. Alot of hype words, seems like snake oil to me.

The same benefits would apply to any vehicle power source. Lower rolling resistance would also mean better fuel mileage and fill ups. Being quieter also an advantage to all. Tire engineering has always been a balance among rolling resistance, wear, traction, and sound. This is purely an advertising gimmick!
