For a lot of people in 40k, Horus was one of the most handsome human male the known universe knew, with the exception of Sanguinius (on the account of being the figurative and sometimes literal ANGEL OF LIGHT, with magnificent, not to mention impeccable, hair) and Fulgrim (because I WANNA BE COOL AND PRETTY LIKE DADDY, OKAY!?).
Fact is, for the Imperium, a Man such as he, with impeccable manners and yet tamed ferocity, was one of the most beautiful thing. People did not see him as bald, or shaven, or take notice of his implant. He was just handsome.
Meanwhile, us: HE'S BALD, HE'S TOO BIG, HE LOOKS BARBARIAN, OR FUCKED UP, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!?

Guilaman and the others saw him. Horor and jubilation saw there faces....he was alive...how was he alive?! Standing before them was no doubt him. He had very short hair, tall as a primarch,he wore ganger armor mixed with parts of white power armor. It was no mistake...the luna wolf would break the silence, looking down at everything, refusing to face his brothers.
"...im sorry im here now...the sight is cruel."
Fulgrim has tears surprisingly go down his cheeks...everyone was shocked to the core... guilaman gripped the sword tightly in rage.
"It was the emporors doing, wasnt it..."
Everyone looked at guilaman, then to horus. He nodded.
"Yes...he saved me...for all i did,he saved...me..." Horuses voice broke as he spoke of the emporor saving what little of his soul was left. Dante was silent the entire time. The archtraitor stood again,redeemed...but broken...as horus looked at the group,he then noticed the lord.
"Who is he?" Asked the former warmaster.
"This is commander dante. The chapter master of the blood angels." Spoke the lion.
Horus looked at the angels inheritor and nodded.
"You deserve better of this galaxy then milenia of suffering and a dead primarch."
    Fulgrim smiled
"Its a miracle the emporor forgave you,its good to see you horus."
Horus looked at fulgrim, his small smile turned dark.
"This isnt forgiveness fulgrim. Father did not give me a 2nd life in forgiveness. He wants me to repent. I will never forgive myself or erebus for what i did. Trillions murdered. Atrocitys uncounted. Brothers dammed and broken. I should be forgotten."
It was then magnus slapped horus.
"Is this really what you think brother? Many of us have changed. I have sought redemption. Fulgrim found redemption. many of us sought redemption for our sins and weve learned to let go. Even after a new life with all that happened, are you that incapable of living with your mistakes?" Spoke the redeemed crimson king.
Horus looked to everyone and nodded.
"...your right. ...if youll have me,then i will help...but 1st...we need to find loken...and end his hunt..."
    To be continued

so for the last like 3 weeks I've really, like REALLY, got into warhammer. It feels like I've almost always known what it was (seeing it in stores, video games, etc.), but as someone who loves military tactics and realism, I thought warhammer looked too silly. But on a whim I started to dig into the lore and learned warhammer is the best kept secret of military historians! haha. this IP is chalked full of so many historical homages, reinterpretations, and easter eggs its fantastic. I've gone from mostly disliking, to hovering over the checkout button with 300$ worth of plastic and paint ready to go. God dammit.
The best part though, is during all this Warhammer binging, I haven't watched the news once. I feel great!

I'm still not convinced that the Big E "held back out of love for his son." The Emperor had been spending lavishly of his reserves of strength since the beginning of the Heresy. Even for the strongest human psyker ever to exist, 7 years of constant effort and pressure takes a toll.
I'm convinced that the flaying of Ollanius Pius temporarily lowered the defenses of the Warmaster, the gap in his focus allowing the Emperor to strike down his once favorite son.
(Still haven't finished the Siege of Terra, could be completely wrong.)

If Maggie the Red hadn't breached the friggin Webway with his attempt at a psychic communique with his Dad, then the Emperor might have had a better chance at surviving his fight with Horus without having to be put on life support in the Golden Throne afterwards.
I know, a lot of speculation on what could have been if one thing or another might have gone right instead of wrong -- Hairy Boss being a hairy tick, Angronius not landing on that damned planet in the first place, Magnus not letting his psyker abilities literally run away with his head, Lorgar Aurelian not penning the Lectitio Divinitatus, et cetera -- but this one stands out most glaringly here.

During the Horus Heresy, the planet was the site of a major invasion by the Sons of Horus and the Death Guard, led by Horus Lupercal and Mortarion, as Horus had regained his memory of the gateway and sought to obtain the same powers the Emperor had attained. The planet was conquered by traitor forces after House Devine turned rogue, with only a hundred survivors from the planet escaping. Later after Horus' defeat, Molech was liberated during the Great Scouring.

I am reading the first book, and what's sad is knowing what he becomes. Because he seemed like a caring primarch for his chapter, and most of his brothers loved him. So, for the loyal wolves who decided not to join him, it must have felt so painful. It is almost similar to seeing your best friend become a drug addict, but he's so far gone, the is nothing you can do to help him. 😢 Defo recommend listening or reading the books to get a feel for what the chapter went through. I look forward to reading the second and third.
Wolves, emperors, children, and salamanders are my favorite, but Aragon also has a sad story. The more I think about it. I understand why most of the chapters went with horus and against humanity. But I AM LOYALIST, SO ALLOW ME TO END YOUR SUFFERING, BROTHERS. SO WE MAY REMEMBER YOU. FOR WHAT YOU WERE AND FOR NOT WHAT YOU'VE BECOME. FOR THE EMPEROR!!!

Mind controlled is a... term, yes.
Part of him, however, *was* very angry at the Emperor, at his secrets and his hidden agenda.
From my understanding, the Chaos Gods have a very hard time MAKING people do things, people just tend to fall regardless of their input However, they might have sped up the process through their agents. The Ruinous Powers do not have a concept of time, so they don't really care, since they have ALREADY seen the end, which was what the Emperor (according to those close to him) was attempting to avert.
Also, Erebus. Fucking Erebus. Idiot thinks the Ruinous Powers need him. The Warp will devour the materium, they don't need him, never did, never will, he needs *them*.
One would think that Lorgar, for all his faults, would have bashed his head in for causing the fall of Horus through machinations. Lorgar hated manipulation, he wanted people to see the Truth and worship to their heart's content. Though he could teach you the truth throw a strong mace to the face. That's not out of the question.

"The galaxy itself seemed to mourn, trembling under the weight of such betrayal. Planets burned, and bled their celestial sorrows as brother turned against brother, idealism consumed by the very shadows they had once sought to vanquish. In this cosmic betrayal, the heavens themselves wept tears of fire, stars dying in silent agony as they witnessed the unraveling of Mankind’s greatest endeavor. It was a rebellion crafted not of flesh, but of shattered ideals, of broken faith - a war that took not only trillion lives but the essence of humanity’s dream.
Horus, now the Archtraitor, the Warmaster of the Ruinous Powers, became the scythe in the reaper's hand, cleaving the Imperium asunder in a cataclysmic harvest of souls. His betrayal was the bell toll that heralded an age of darkness; his every command, a litany of despair; his once-valiant legions, the clanging chains that would enslave worlds to the whims of Chaos."

The position of war master should have been spit into a dual role like the Roman consulship.
One Primarch overseeing military affairs while the other deals with diplomacy Horus and the lion or Gulliman would have been a perfect combination for the roles and help take the pressure off Horus and sooth any resentment

If henry cavill gets to make the show, and thats what the show is about, i think henry should be the warmaster. Horus is described as incredibly charming, charismatic, and likable amongst his brother primarchs. And since people in real life like him itd make sense to me to pit him against the emperor eventually

    • @cappinjocj9316
      @cappinjocj9316 ปีที่แล้ว +4

@@1776SolidSnake That’s not a bad call. I’d be inclined to give Cavill the role of Emperor or Sanguinius personally, for basically the same reasons.

      Gotta go for Tom Hardy
      He is VERY charismatic
But capable of playing a brutal savage, embodying Horus' Cthonian heritage and eventually his fall to Chaos
Id have to agree witb Cavill as Sanguinius or another loyalist, hes too good looking and with more "Noble" like features and demeanor for the Great Lupercal

Which Primarchs look most like the Emperor?
Off the top of my head, I'd say Corvus and Conrad. And not just because of the hair but the nose and mouth too.
Did Urda's or Amar's genes also get involved? I don't actually know anything about them apart from them playing some role in their creation.

After having read how the Emperor is portrayed in the Horus Heresy, and seeing his power compared to Horus', I cannot believe that the Emperor held back in the least when fighting Horus. It is most likely that Horus was simply that powerful, and he was barely able to defeat him.

What happened to the original lore where the Emperor of Mankind teleported into the heart of the battle with his 10 thousand to turn the tide and save Horus. The Emperor would cut down the Ork Warlord and in seconds 100,000 orbs would be slain with only 3 Custodes perishing, thier names immortalised inscribed on the Emperor’s armour.
